Balzaretti came out of Torino youth rank, and started his career as a Torino player, but he also played for Juventus who is Torino's arch-rival for two years (05-07).

I like him as our LB also, but would not be too sad if he does not come. After all, age is not on his side, and if we want to move forward with a "project", I don't mind opting for someone younger.

Lahm and Dani alves would be unreal, Lahm will never leave and if he did his price is at least 20mln euros + , same price on dani alves and they are both naturally RB's i believe? but no doubt they could play Lb just as efficiently.

Evra, ashley cole seem to be past their prime and in decline, i definitely don't want a player like that. Speed was always their strong point and it's risky going for players who rely so much on speed who are already at an old age (both of them 31 y/o) balzaretti may be 30, but won't come close to their contract demands and is also italian + would cost much less.

Jordi Alba, when you talk young very promising LB's he's the only one who comes to mind and he would be quite costly and would favour a move to barcelona or real instead of us.

I heard that it is a done deal already on ANSA.it. Valencia will pay 0.8M in loan fee and with an option to buy with 3.5M.

I wonder how much we paid to bring him to Milan. That doesn't seem a great deal to me in any aspect.

I wouldn't call galliani an asshole for being cheap, but I find that extremely annoying too. Also, after you just got a huge deal in Nocerino from Zamparini who is known for his arrogance, you kinda have to cough up some real money to get another player from them.

Zamparini is just mad that our 0,5M buy from him turned out to be one of our key players, same as Nicollin who faces the dilemma between releasing his captain at low price this year or for nothing next year.

I start to think maybe it was that kind of "fake deal" serving only purpose of appease Raiola. I am kind of happy that all his players are now gone (hopefully?), but knowing our management, I would not and should not be happy. Soon enough, maybe Galliani will flirt with Raiola again.

There's a lot of comments about Ibra. My take is that his comments, while possibly true were distasteful and disrespectful. It would have been better for him to be more diplomatic with his answer, as Ancelotti was. That said, he can say what he wants.

Regarding Balzaretti, here's what Zamparini said:

"Milan want a Nocerino style deal while Roma and Napoli offered around 5M. If Roma meet Napoli's offer, he will go there."

I can't stand Milan Management. I'm embarrassed by them. There's a fine line between negotiating, and being an asshole. Galliani is sometimes so annoying that no one wants to deal with him. Loans, Free, asking teams to release their player out of contract so we can sign him for Free; other teams are fed up with this.

Galliani can sell Taiwo and Mesbah at all costs for combined 5M if need be, and replace those idiots with Balzaretti. LB will essentially be solved. But instead, he has to continue on with this nonsense...

Real Madrid said they won't split Kaka's wages (for now), and Nicollin said he won't sell for 7M. Regardless of what this African players true value is, I hope someone stiffs it to Galliani.
He's got no-backups, and we'll literally play with Bonera as our starting CB this season.

On a positive note, Montolivo's performances and words have been excellent (class), and he said he knows he doesn't want to play Trequartista, but will play any of the other spots in midfield. He may just end up being our Van Bommel replacement...

Really? Zamparini shouldn't be taken seriously, the guy's nothing short of a clown.

Let's really get to the crux of this issue, which is presidents/owners/managers at other clubs making distasteful comments about us and our way of dealing. Zamparini's one, but this is a guy who uses the media to get attention and more importantly, we're also talking about an owner that averages more than one manager per season, and in many cases ends up re-hiring former managers when their replacements don't work out. He's also well known for being "difficult" to work with at the best of times and is often mocked for his antics.

Nicollin, as with Zamparini is another who quite frankly makes idiotic comments in the press. You only have to read the article I posted in the last couple of days to see what kind of character he is and how serious to take him. Everything he's said during the Mbiwa deal has been to try and increase the cost of the player, probably in the knowledge that he's not got much leverage. It's also quite a coincidence that we're suddenly linked to N'koulou when the Mbiwa deal has hit a snag. Don't be surprised it's a rumour created by us to put pressure on Nicollin to sell.

There was also Garry Cook, ex-Man City director who blamed Milan for the breakdown on Kaka's sale. This is also the same man who was disgraced following an email scandal. No point in me saying more.

Then there's Sao Paulo, whose directors who took issue after Berlusconi's comments about buying Kaka for bananas or something. This was a faux pas from the club, but specifically Berlu, not Galliani or Braida who deal with the transfers. Also, while I love and respect Brazilian football, given what goes on there and the level of corruption, this isn't exactly the biggest issue.

Beyond these all very dubious names, I've can't think of any examples where our managements negotiation skills have been questioned or derided and if anything, they're highly respected in the football world. We're far from perfect, deals like Mesbah show this, but our method of dealing isn't
our problem.


Selling Mesbah and Taiwo is actually proving difficult. We had deals in place for Mesbah, but the player himself rejected the moves to stay. As for Taiwo, well despite rumours it's been looking difficult to find decent offers, though it seems as though we have one now. Plus these are deals which can stay on the backfoot for now, we have to get other positions sorted out first.

I don't understand why you want anyone to stick it to Galliani, as if he does get these deals done then it's really good. If it's a matter of wanting Galliani and Berlu out, then the transfer market won't be the cause of them leaving.

I think that with our current situation we should play 4-2-3-1. It's very modern formation that currently gives you many options in attack, but also at defending considering it turns into 4-5-1. This is what I would like to see this year:
