Though I'm sure a few already knew Corinthians as it is the team where Ronaldo retired and Roberto Carlos moved after Fenerbace and before Anzhi. In Brazil they've got the second highest number of supporters after Flamengo.

Unless they are a Maldini style (loyal to a team) But in todays world with people out bidding each other, wives want to travel the world so husband plays 3 years diffrent countries, etc. Die hard Robinho fan wouldnt shed a tear if we got decent money and/or player for him. I wouldn't generalize like that. There are Brazilian players who are both professional and hard working, like Cafu, and Kaka who, despite having a blood-sucking father, is indeed professional both on and off the field.

Very prejudicial and stereotypical thing to say. Selling our Brazilians will drop the already short talent level even lower. How are Pato and Robinho lazy. Pato is a disaster at tracking back. It's true and nobody can deny it. Brazilians are the best / most talented players but unfortunately most of them have short careers for one reason or another.
And it's not that I was trying to be prejudice towards Brazilians, but Italians playing in Italy especially for their boyhood clubs will give tons of effort in comparison to an unhappy Brazilian or any other nationality.

There are many who are true 'champions' like Silva who gives his best for the team because he realizes we gave him the possibility to make his name for himself and helped him get out of a rough patch in his career. I didn't mean we needed to buy all Italians, but it helps when players are playing in their home countries and especially if we raise them from our youth ranks like DS, or get them young like ELS because they have a special attatchment to our club.
Players like Ronaldinho aren't smart buys, it's obvious his attatchment was toward Barcelona and when he came to us we paid all that money for him to get fat and offer us not nearly enough as he should of just to go back to Brazil for practically nothing.
And now, we have Robinho and Pato who are asking to go back to Brazil after everything we did for them? We saved Robinho's career, I'm sure another club could've but it was us that did so, he was going to get put on the sidelines by Man city. Pato, after all his injuries and BS we supported him through all of that.
On the short career thing, there hasn't been many players like R.Carlos or Cafu who go into their 30's and still give it their best.
Kaka is a shadow of his former self since 29 years old, but I'll take nothing away from him because he's a true professional and a great leader if he was at milan, plus he loved us and similar to Silva he had to be sold for financial purpose. Ronaldinho got fat like I said and failed for us. Pato was a disaster. Adriano was like 26 or something when he decided to just go back to Brazil and become an alcoholic for whatever his personal reasons were.

And then, to my point I said that the real talents Brazil is producing these days cost way to much. Lucas,Neymar,Oscar are/were all out of our reach.
Moreover, I feel as if Brazilians due to their history of having a good chunk maybe of the worlds best talents in the past that their youngsters are just having their fame and hype given to them rather than earning it hence leading to having no will to further improve because they have the fame and the money at such a young age like Pato.

I don't want us to loose our brazilian identity, because in the long run we'll pay for it because I'm sure the Kaka's,Ronaldos of tomorrow we'll come out of brazil at some point and they won't want Milan, but for the time being we should focus on the Italian/Argentinian/Dutch markets because this is where you can get talent for cheap these days. Plus, I can make a huge list of Brazilian players who picked money over a good career path just off the top of my head: Juceili,Hulk,Giuliano and not that it was their fault but to an extent also Oscar and Lucas who probably would've had other clubs in mind had these other clubs had the money to purchase them.
Don't get me wrong, I'd pick Lucas,Neymar,Oscar to lead our frontline over almost anyone in the world right now but I'm just saying that Brazil is no longer a gold mine for clubs like us, unless we hit a jackpot or find some new money injections we should stay away from Brazil. You really either score on players like Kaka or you fail on players like Oliveira and apparently Pato now too, but that was a time wehre players like this could be bought for 8-15mln, now when you find a talent in Brazil who puts up even just one good season your going to have to pay your ass off to get that player.

In Argentina, players are still going cheap.
Netherlands, players aren't going cheap but affordable still.
Seria A, we can produce them or we can have the chance to obviously closely monitor them, for example Weiss and Quintero of Pescara haven't gotten worldwide attention yet but they are both pretty talented, milannews reported we have already kept an eye out for both of them.
And.. If we are to go for talents coming out of Brazil we need to buy them from youth teams and I guess just finish developing them ourselves if that's what needs to be done.
At the end of the day, this whole Robinho/Pato saga has me really upset.

Milannews denied these rumours, saying Pato's entourage and Galliani are working together to find the best solution. I don't think Pato would have made such a threat, it's a pointless endeavour as it seems clear we're not likely to renew at this point anyway.

Actually, I thought it was our plan at one point earlier this year to renew his contract. Usually, it is also quite natural that after a club rejects a massive bid (in this case, 28M+7M from PSG), this said player would get an extension of his contract.

I am not sure if Pato did make that threat (I would rather think no, as I feel that Pato is just dumb but not evil, and it is certainly possible that it is those potential buyers who spread such rumor to pressure Milan into lowering Pato's price), but what Pato said after Anderlecht match was rather dumb and pointless too.
