In case some of you don't understand Italian, I have covered the main points.

Somebody can rate cristante's game? It seems everybody likes him,I got an impression that he is a regista,so I presume he is a montolivo / de rossi type of player.but I don't see his name on latest U18 NT,the only milan player is petagne.

I've not seen too much of him, probably similar amounts to others here. However, what I have seen he's a lot like Pirlo, but physically bigger and stronger. His passing is excellent and like Pirlo he can pick out players from distance and do similar lob passes. His vision is really excellent too, seemingly better than Montolivo's from what I've seen. However, what's really impressive is that like other decent regista, he always seems to find space to receive a pass, showing tactical maturity.

He's played in all areas of midfield, as well as CB for Primavera, but it does seem he's a natural regista. He reminds me a little of both Pirlo and Montolivo, though at this point a little less mobile than Montolivo.

I look forward to seeing him next season.

Great post dude, when you elicited that Cristante is a cross between Pirlo and Montolivo that couldn't be more dead on. He has Pirlos vision and passing range and Montolivos physical build and pace(I think a little faster, but Monty is actually pretty fast when he sprints)

I like the comparison (not the talent they have though but more to their type of play, characteristic). Yeah, Cristante seems the combination of both of Pirlo and Monto.

As he said, every player has characteristic of play and I am looking forward to watching what kind of type of regista he would be.

Cristante would face fierce competition as regista next season,montolivo and de jong will play before him I think.

The teenager celebrated his 18th birthday on Sunday and put pen to paper on a professional contract at Milan on Monday.

“My preferred position is playing in front of the defence,” he told Milan Channel. “Although it is hard as the team revolves around you.

“Training alongside great champions will always help a youngster to grow. I look to people who play in my position like Ambrosini and Montolivo – I try to steal their secrets and tricks.”
