I know we shouldn't be full of ourselves. However, we now sit at the 3rd, so the aim is normally somewhere higher.

And since Napoli's form is inconsistent, I think Montela's word can be change to any of the top 7 besides Juve can finish from 2 to 7

Gasperini leaves Palermo...again

Palermo have officially announced that Coach Gian Piero Gasperini has agreed to mutually terminate his contract.

The Rosanero lost a relegation six-pointer against Siena yesterday, which left them five points adrift from safety at the bottom of Serie A.

And President Maurizio Zamparini has decided to release the tactician for the second time this term.

Gasperini was sacked on February 4 to be replaced by Alberto Malesani, only to be re-hired 19 days later by the Sicilian side.

A statement on their website read: “Palermo Soccer, at the end of a meeting between director Giorgio Perinetti and Gian Piero Gasperini, can announce that there has been an agreement to mutually terminate the contract of the Coach.”

Reports have suggested that Giuseppe Sannino, who himself was sacked by Palermo on week three of this season, could, remarkably, be re-hired.

Zamparini is one of the better examples of how not to run teams. Selling Pastore and Sirigu meant funds and a chance of being at least something like Udinese but he has no clue obviously.

Exactly. A lot of people will say colourful presidents like him make Serie A a more interesting place, but Zamparini has long since crossed the line from eccentric to complete moron. If he's wondering how his club has been transformed from European contenders to relegation battlers, he needs only to look at himself.

I actually sort of like Palermo, but frankly I'd now love to see them go down just to screw over Zampa.

I never liked Palermo, and absolutely resent Zamparini. I have been waiting for their demotion to Serie B. Hopefully this will happen this May.

Zamparini, Nicollin (or whatever his name is that runs the club of Montpellier) are both crazy, totally irrational, compared to them, Abramovich is such an easy guy to deal with.
