I think the word for de Jong is "physical" but for Suarez it is "lunatic" or "wtf?".

Surprised that no one has posted this yet:
Sir Alex Ferguson has announced retirement at the end of this season. http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/20...ter-united

Great manager with insatiable desire for success. He built at least three different winning teams with United. That's roughly three generations of players. He's an expert at mind games too with many witty remarks (he once said Pippo was born offside. Haha)
His legacy means he leaves behind impossibly big shoes for his successor to fill. In my opinion only one man with just as big ego and character can replace him: Mourinho.

I would hate to see Mourinho become SAF's successor. Manchester United doesn't deserve that.

I've never been a huge fan SAF, but I won't deny he's deservedly recognised as one of the greats.
As for his replacement, David Moyes is in pole position for the job and probably the best suited, as he's done great with an Everton side without resources and seems a natural successor.

David Moyes signed a 6-year contract with Manchester United. Moyes was Rooney's former coach at Everton, and it is reported that there were/are some personal problems between them.

I don't have anything to say about SAF.
I'm just curious about David Moyes' new MU next season. Rooney said bad things related to Moyes in his book, and the coach took him to court then won (in 2008, IIRC).

I also heard rumors that Rooney recently requested a transfer, but MU board denied it quoting the reason that such a big transfer would not be appropriate at a time of big transition like this. Maybe it has to do with Moyes? :d

let me say this 1st
MU will not win anything for the next 2 3 season
Moyes is a risk. He has been groomed for this role for years but it's still a big risk to take a manager who never won anything in his Everton career and expect him to keep Man Utd at the top of English football.
He has no CL group experience, and he struggled in the first 5 years at Everton with poor consistency. One season they were top 6, the next they were fighting relegation. He turned that around but there's a real feeling among the Prawn Sandwich Brigade that this isn't the most popular appointment around and it spells the end for Rooney (no big loss really) and Giggs, who has never been managed by anyone else. There isn't anyone on earth who WOULD have been the idea fit for this - including Jose. How do you replace arguably the best manager of all time who was in the job 27 years? You can't. It's a new era at Man Utd and next season is going to be absolutely fascinating. (05-10-2013, 02:46 AM)Aficio Wrote: I don't have anything to say about SAF. Apparently the way Rooney left Everton was rather acrimonious and he doesn't want to be managed by Moyes again. He's already unhappy at his reduced role since RVP was signed, and now he'll have a manager he's at loggerheads with. He won't stay.
