Oh yeah, anything can happen, but it's just really interesting how many rated Pacifico, but Iotti is the one that seems more likely to break through.

It's a good sign that we have promising defenders though.

I used to love Ventura! No kidding, that is despite that he played for Merda.

Speaking of which, it is probably because he played for Merda that his career was totally ruined.

Back to Iotti and Pacifico, I guess I can only count on the expertise of those coaches (U-19's, ours - seeing that Iotti made our CL B-List while Pacifico didn't), but I must say that from my own amateurish eyes, Pacifico really impressed me a lot.

I think Pacifico impressed more in the match because he completed the 90 minutes, while Iotti only played the second half. However, there were elements of Pacifico that concerned me, mostly his mobility and ability in 1 on 1 situations (he could have conceded a penalty vs Sao Paulo). As for Iotti, he seemed really solid and never showed any reason to cast any doubts, but I also assume that him being 2 years younger is playing a part as a to why he's considered the greater prospect.

Montolivo has a good eye, plus, despite the fact that we watched them play in friendlies, the first team players get to watch them train day in and day out, so I think they'd probably be a better judge of which players are improving steadily and which ones are falling behind.

I think Pacifico impressed us more because he faced many difficult challenged (and solved them all), while Iotti had less (yet did cleanly).

So we can say Pacifico have better defensive skills or Iotti can read the match better, so he didn't have to put himself in hard situations?

It's hard to know from one match, but I'm mostly just positive about the fact we do seem to have some promising talents coming through the ranks.
