Summer Mercato 2011
I don't rate Constant in same creative quality as Honda or Lazzari. Both those players r comfortable as CAM and played it most of there career. COnstant hasn't.
Here is my list

GK(3): Abbiatti, Marchetti, Roma
DEF(9): Abate, Nesta, Silva, Taiwo, Mexes, Astori, Yepes, Zambro and Antonini
MID(9): MVB, Boateng, Hernanes, Ganso, Gattuso, Ambro, Constant, Merkel,Urby
FW(5): Ibra, Pato, Robinho, Cassano, Pippo

In: Hernanes, Ganso, Constant, Marchetti, Taiwo, Mexes and Astori
Out: Pirlo, Slowdorf, Oddo, Legro, Janku, Bonera, Amelia, Papa, while Dilac and Strausser on loan

On a development level, I would try to develop Urby and Constant in the MVB's role
Constant is a direct player and not a creative force like Honda or Ganso. Thats why I think he might do well in the DM role.
Well if we're going to play this game Smile

Fwd: Zlatan (30), Pato (22), Robinho (27), Cassano (29), Pippo (38)
AM: Nasri (24), Lamela (19)
LCM: Pirlo (32), Seedorf (35), MErkel (19)
DM: Van Bommel (34), Andrea Poli (22)
RCM: Boateng (24), Gattuso (33), MErkel (19)
RB: Abate (25), Zambrotta (34), Bonera (30)
LB: Taiwo (26), Antonini (29), Bocchetti (25)
CB: Nesta (35), Thiago (27), Bocchetti (25), Astori (24), Yepes (35), Bonera (30)
GK: Abbiati (34), MArchetti (28), Roma (80)

This is most realistic mercato I can come up with. Bocchetti has stated he's unhappy in Russia, regrets leaving italy and wants to come back to earn back his NT spot. I still think Poli is natural heir at

I'd rather have a CAM with movement and trickery like Nasri. Him + Robinho is a nightmare for defenders. Lamela's potential is insane but if he comes and is asked to start he might fail.

I don't really have a problem with both seedorf and pirlo coming back on lower wages and rotating one spot. The problem is when they play together. But when one plays with Boateng and anchor our midfield looks very good and complete. Obviously if we can get hernanes or Sahin, one can leave, but if we can't I'd rather not lose the class we have for just a younger less technical player who works hard but isn't as good.

In a perfect world we'd let Seedorf go for Hernanes. We might let Van Bommel go for Fernando
We linked with Bruno from Feyenoord, who can play as CB and LB and however just 19 years old...

We also linked with Essien... Dream buy...

Honestly, i'd not spend 5 m euros on a vice Abbiati, who didnt play this season...

Ganso or Lamela...Lazzari and Marchetti are favourites in italy... We still link with Hulk as vice ibra...

We don't need vice Ibra, we need Ibra or someone who fill in his position (with Ibra's leaving Milan). We have 5 strikers now. I like the idea to sell one of Robinho, Ibra and Cassano and buy a reliable scorer.
"When Costacurta and Maldini won they didn't celebrate much. They were thinking about winning the next game" - Alessandro Nesta
Problem is that I don't a reliable scorer would cost less than 40mil these days.
Even if he does not have mental problems, Mario is not a proven scorer.
Dzeko seems to disappear playing in ManCity.
Adebayor will be a Real striker and he is not a true proven scorer.
Benzema will probably stay in Real unless Real gets Neymar.
Neymar should stay away from Serie A as his game can grows so much more if he plays in La Liga.
Villa is a proven scorer but I doubt he would leave Barcelona.
Hulk and Falcao are interesting but they really have not play in the big stage yet and with their recent form, they will cost at least 30mil. While EPL clubs will probably think thats a bargain.

So I guess, if you are betting your dollars on guys like Milito to regain his form, or bet on Amauri to become a better version than the Parma Amauri instead of the Juve version. There just ain't that many proven scorer out there.
sell cassano, bring boriello back or get robben,we can give munich pirlo and flamini plus cash.
May god with chinese footbball
We will sell Cassano IMO, he needs to have a guaranteed first team football in order to lead Italy to glory again. He is Italy`s hope and he can not and should not be wasted in Milan. Roma, Juve or Inter if they sell Snejder are likely destination. 12-15 mil should do the trick. Bring back Borriello to be substitute for Ibra.

A strikefore consisted of Ibra, Pato,Borriello, Pippo should be enough.
A trquartista role can be shared by Robinho,Ganso,Seedorf/Pirlo (one of them will saty)
Boateng will have to adjust to RM which I believe suits him better, cuz i don`t see him as a trequartista winning us th CL.

The cash that we gain for Cassano sale should be invested to bring Hernanes to Milan. Than we will be complete when you take in consideration that Taiwo,Ganso and Mexes should be signed by default.
-----------------Mvb-------------
--Boateng--------------Hernanes
-------------Ganso------------

We knew hernanes will be good, we did not take the risk on him...now he is proved to be a class act. He needs to move on to a CL contender and thats US. MvB and boateng as surprised as I am proved their worth and deserve the starting spot at Milan. After all what they offer to this side smth the old "champions" can not anymore, which is funny since Pirlo is 2 years younger than him.
No ho visto Superman volare, ma ho visto Super Pippo segnare. I supereroi esistono davvero.

The problem is that he is older now, and he doesn't run as much as our midfield would require. He is not the man who will guide us to the CL title next year. He could be a super-sub, but he would have to accept a much lower salary.

While I do love Hernanes attacking ability, I would probably take Inler over him considering he is better defensively. The passing skills Inler has will more than suffice, if we get a player like Ganso too.

Sputnik, I see Boateng as a pillar for our future squad. He has the physicality of a beast and as you say we cannot complain about his skill on the ball. On top of that he has the never give up attitude and he is young. Buying someone like Ganso, I would probably still see Prince in the attacking midfielder role, although he would fit well in the 3 man midfield too.

Boateng's unlikely mix of power and skill make him a very unique solution up front. Once again I should stress than I know nothing about Ganso, but I could see him playing in a 3 man midfield (maybe not necessarily to the left) to control our game from there. Then we would have a DM and a player like Inler who can put in the good pass. Creativity wise we would only have Ganso, but with Bommel, Prince and Inler we would have very accurate passers.

Pirlo is no doubt an all time great. For what he's accomplished with Italy and Milan while being arguably the most influencial player in both sides, he's comparable to talents like Baggio, Totti (I actually don't rate him as high) and Del Piero. Pirlo still can offer a lot at Milan, but like Seedorf his influence won't be so much as a regular starter, but a squad player with his experience. About Iniesta and Xavi, I think both will also go down as legends and deservedly so. Iniesta in particular for me is a very special player. I remember seeing him back in the Spanish youth teams and he always impressed me. For years he's been one of the best all round midfielders in the game and he's still only 26, with many years ahead of him.

About Ganso, there's been a lot of suggestion (not just on the forum, but also in Italy) that maybe he could be used in the 3 man midfield in essentially Seedorf's role. I like the idea because he'll get time and space on the ball to dictate matches, while Boateng can keep his spot higher up to press opponents high and offer energy behind the front pair. On the other hand, Ganso could end up like Zidane in Juve, who was originally played deeper only for him to struggle to show his best. Juve were recommended to play him higher and they never looked back. With Ganso's vision and ability, I do fear playing him deeper will make his impact within the side influencial.

Also as abbeyleemania already said, milannews reports Essien's been seen in Milan with Umberto Gandini (one of our lesser known directors).
Essien would be a dream come true, as he is the most complete DM in football.

I can't even imagine a lineup of Essien, Boateng, Hernanes, Ganso with Pato and Ibra up front.
