Completely agree with that part in bold. But u cant just hold on to em and not bring in fresh blood. Coz that s just going to ruin Milan s prestige of being a top club. I wouldnt mind keeping Seedorf and Pirlo. Both of em were definitely great players for us and expecting em to perform week in and week out to get the results they used to is unjustified not only for us but for em as players as well. Have u heard anyone complain about Nesta or even Maldini when he reached 40. NO. Coz they just didnt give anyone the opportunity to do so. Even if Seedorf, Pirlo and Ambro are gone. There are Nesta, Pippo, Gattuso and to some extend Abbiatti. Like some of you said, if Seedorf, Pirlo and Ambro all choose to stay, thats fine as long as MIlan signs Ganso, Honda and Essien too. Having them is great as long as you got players to start ahead of them. And not just in league games but also in big CL games.
Firstly, lets look at the players who should stay...
Gattuso-He did pretty good this season, improved even his offensive game, assisted some and scored an important goal vs Juventus...Should stay...
Abate-Great season...One of the best Rb's in italy...The best italian RB...should stay...
Yepes, when called up, he did good job...Great season as 3rd choice CB...Should stay...
Boateng Great season...we struggled to win without him...perfect link between mid. and attack...his high up pressing and strentgh are important element to our midfield. should stay...
Van Bommel...great second half... A wall... His destroying, tackling, positioning, reading the game, leadership and a little bit dirty stylee helped us so much...He got Ambro's shirt in line up... Should stay...
Nesta still one of the best CB's...He is important to us in CB...Should stay...He did very good campaign...
Silva...The best CB on the earth...should stay...
Pirlo...was injured at most of this season...He is now 32...His salary is big...we dont play with regista anymore...He did good as LCM in few games but its not enough... if he accept 2-3 m euros salary and bench role plus short term contract, he should stay...otherwise he should leave...
Ambrosini- was injured...i think we should make a decision between him and Van Bommel... i think dutch won it...he should leave...but it will be painful for him...Because nobody wants him... Nobody pays him 3-3.5 m euros like Milan does... He should leave...
Antonini- sometimes he was good sometimes he was bad... Definetely he was weak link in defensive line...he is good as a reserve...it seems we already signed Taiwo...if he doesnt accept bench role, we can sell him to juve or others...

Papa- He never convinced me... He didnt play much. Whenever he played, he was horrible... He should leave...
Bonera - He was never a solid defender...he always makes mistakes after mistakes...He is injured for always...injury or error prone...He should leave...

Seedorf- he was horrible at the start but since then he is playing great with continuity...he scored important goals for scudetto as well...His goal vs Fio and samp was important... Seedorf has charisma and knows football well... A true leader... Silva said all about him im thinking few days ago... He should stay...
ibra Great season though 2 red card slowed him a bit... He is very important for us in Serie A... He is one of the main reasons for Scudetto...He should stay...
Pato Whenever he found his form, he is injured...Pato has to show us we can depent on him full season and he should step up in CL...He should stay...
Robinho- Great season though his finishing was horrible...he scored 12 goals but he could easily reached 20 goals...

Cassano- He did his contribution when called up. Scored goals though we struggled without a true striker...He should stay...
Emanuelson- Good player... He gives different options to us on the flank. He should stay...
Didac Vila---He should leave...
Merkel- Great youngster... He will be one of the best midfielders in the game if he continues like this... He should stay and fight for his shirt...
Strasser Good player but we should loan him to get first team action...he didnt convince me...He scored an important goal vs Caglari and kept us in scudetto zone at that time...He should go on Loan...
inzaghi...He was injured most of the season... so we cant depent on him for next season as vice ibra...He should retire or accept 3rd choice behind Berretta...
Flamini- Good player but he still didnt convince me...He scored a great goal vs Bologna. He is getting high salary and his perfonmances still is not enough. He cant even replace Gattuso properly... He should leave...
Zambrotta he was solid at LB...we struggled there when he is injured... When he returned, he got the shirt from Antonini... He was again solid... He accepted wage reduce last season, he is good as a reserve LFB or RFB...He should stay...
Oddo- Oddo is not needed... He should leave...
Amelia- He was not solid when he played... if Abbiati injures himself, we need a better and solid alternative for him as we should calculate every possibility not to ruin all season... He should leave...

Taye Taiwo; Great player...he showed his class with Marseille... His left foot is amazing...He is good offensively and defensively good...Free agent and costs zero...it seems we signed him on 3 years and with 2 m euros wages...Great job...
Mexes Milan needs a WC defender to replace Nesta and however Mexes is not...He didnt convince me that if he is right man for us... He will get 5 m euros wages...its too much and dangerous for our wage balance...
Hernanes Would be a perfect signing for us...We need more quality in midfield trio...
Nainngolan He could be better player in the future and has amazing potential...Would be useful for midfield...
Ganso/Lamela i like Lamela's stylee more but Ganso reminds me of Rivaldo...His shooting, tecnique...He have room for improvement... but yet i'd sign Lamela if we sign Hernanes for midfield trio... (just because of Ganso's stylee)

If Honda is going for 15mil, Milan will be foolish not to go after him, as he is just like Hernanes and Boateng, someone who can play all the midfield roles.
Imagine, Honda, Hernanes and Ganso in one summer. Wow.

I am happy with season. Players all played well, played hard, and we had a lot better team than last season. We should take this opportunity to strengthen with a few more younger players and create another dynasty winning a few more Scudetti this decade and try to win 1 or 2 Champions Leagues.
We most clearly need an ACM (Ganso, Lamela), a Left Back (seems like Taiwo), and another CB or 2 to get ready for Nesta's eventual and inevitable departure.
I would not make any moves in the Striking department as I think we're set there. Don't make unnecessary moves. In terms of Midfield, EVERYONE wants Hernanes but we were not linked with him once. I think he would be a good buy but very expensive and along with Ganso could prove impossible. I have not been too involved in this mercato so I do not know who is available as a *2-way midfielder*, but I'm sure Uncle Fester has something planned.....
Next important thing is to WIN SCUDETTO, then decide who we renew. I say Van Bommel & Ambrosini, say Bye Bye to Pirlo & Seedorf.
