Silvio was interviewed today and he himself said that getting Hamsik will be difficult, since Napoli wont want to sell their best midfielder especially since they have such high ambitions. He never did say if we were interested in him though; just responded to the rumours.
We should all keep in mind that our team is currently at 31 players and we need to get it down to 26 players.
Considering we already have two newcomers (Taiwo and Mexes) and we want two midfielders, we are up at 35 players and therefore need to lose 9 players. So we have to release a few Senatori as well as other deadweight like Jankulovski and Oddo. It would be nice to get rid of Bonera and Papas, considering we have two quality replacements in Mexes and Yepes. Even if we do this, we still have to say goodbye to 5 Senatori (do we even have that many?). This should be a very interesting mercato indeed.

jube are not willing to pay because they are losing money, paying for new stadium and let's put it this way, the fact they can't get into UCL it doens't help.
There is no way Sandro is 15 mil. Tottenham paid 10 mil for him (minimum, speculation it was more). He has a contract till 2014 or 2015. Tottenham is english, they have money, they like him. They won't sell him below 20 mil atm
Sandro- 20 mil
Hernanes- 25 mil (minimum)
Honda- 15 mil
Where is that money coming from Gabriel? We must be realistic.
In other news, we are linked to Axel Witsel. He impresses me. Would be a perfect fit at side CM. Probably 10-12 mil.
As for Aquilani, it's a matter of price. His quality is undoubted.
And we cannot let both seedorf and pirlo go. Both posess technical qualities VERY hard to find. In a hardworking midfield, with active players they both shine at LCM. The problem is when they play together. Hernanes (or Hamsik, pipe dream) is option #1 for me. The way I see it if Seedorf or Pirlo stayed on lower wages as there back up it'd be very useful.
Assuming Pirlo and gattuso accept offers elsewhere. We renew MVB, Ambrosini, Seedorf. We Keep Boateng. We sell flamini to raise some money. I think we need 4 midfielders, a back up box to box mid,a technical CM, an versitile AM and perhaps a young prospect to play CAM:

We keep 4 of our mids (1 of pirlo/seedorf, mvb, 1 of ambro/gattuso, boateng)

GK: we have 3, probably let amelia go and get marchetti as back up. I dont like marchetti much but he willcost 2 mil, amelia costs 5
We'd sell Flamini, we loan or sell papa, we let oddo/janku and others go. honestly, bonera can go too, IF we replace him with a Cb who can fill at FB when needed (I like him as 5th choice just cause he offers versatility which is important)
That's 21 players. We sign 4 midfielders. Ideally actually, 1 would be a versitile play anywhere player. Someone like Vidal and Isla would be ideal as they r comfortable at FB but more box to box mids w/ good technical skills

Money should be a concern. Berlusconi said he will spend, but there are limits.
First off there is Boateng, who should be ours for about 8-9 mil. Then Ibra, 24 mil spread over 3 years, so 8 mil. I'm not sure if Robinho has been paid for already, but nonetheless 18 mil. The question is if these 35 mil are considered as "already paid for gifts" or if they subtract to the total of this summers spendings. I'm actually inclined to say they don't count this year, since Berlusconi said that last year he spent more money on Milan than previously. Anyway I would expect our budget for new players to be around 30-40 mil, unless Silvio wants to go berserk and get us one of CR7 or Messi.

guarin is a good name. Problem is nonEU. What do you think of Joao Moutinho? He always impresses me. Sadly I think Porto want to hold players for one year, being as villa boas is staying. They want to make a UCL run
