On a brighter side of the news, it is now reported that we are going to build our own stadium! If this indeed is the case (with this team, i am not going to believe in anything until i see it), then this could be the foundation for our rebirth.
For all the crap Barbara gets thrown her way (and she definitely deserved some of it with the dating a player and all), she is showing a completely different mentality than our previous management. Namingly, she is someone who can actually get things done. This is in sharp contrast to Galliani, who have been talking about that new stadium project for the last 10 years or so, but never could get crap done. Barbara is still very young, and have made her fair share of mistakes in handling situations. But she gives me some level of hope for the management going forward. We are already seeing the kind of mentality a modern corporation employs such as holding people accountable, taking swift and direct actions toward solving a problem, and willingness to bring in right talent to the company. Unfortunately, the old farts still occupy some of the company's top spots, but I for one am starting to believe this management could be (just could, not will be) ready to make a comeback to the top of the soccer world again.

About Galliani's talk about a stadium in the last 10 years, all he's ever done is moan about lack of funds to do it or legal issues around it.
I agree though, I do feel there's hope with the change. Problem lies in how long the current old farts continue down this path of destruction. The longer it goes on, and it's already gone on far too long and been far too damaging, the harder the management's task is to bring this club back to success.

To me, the rebirth of this team will have to be a slow process. We have to do this one thing at a time. No matter how incompetent the current management is, no company (no sane ones, to be exact) will hand off the leadership to a 28 year old kid who had no prior experience whatsoever. That is simply strategic suicide. As much as I think the current regime is about 20 years behind the curve of evolution, dumping them all at once and replace them with a girl who is my age does not inspire any confidence either.
The current leadership structure of this team has fallen way behind the curve that it is going to take several major make overs to get us back on track. We see the problems in the forms of having no money, poor player development system, bad coaching and terrible players, but the real problem is with the fundamental structure of the management hierarchy. It is not just Galliani, but the entire management that is at fault for all of this. No major company in the world lets one man run the show and have everyone else act as his cronies the way we do. You can run a mom and pop store with that leadership set up, not a multi-hundred million dollar company. Barbara seems to understand that. She at least is trying to invest for a better future. Again, I don't know if she will succeed or not, but I at least see a glimer of light with her in charge.
What if I tell you there is someone who is 28 yrs old and willing to buy the current Milan and build it like what Roman did with Chelsea?
The thing is that Lady B, at least to me, seems to be someone who is willing to spend money on Milan and someone who understands about the price of winning.
While Galliani, at least over the past year, is trying to out do himself in terms of getting bad deals. Dont think he gone cookoo, but to me he is really trying to screw the next GM of Milan.
As I said many times, as CEO/GM of Milan, players transfer/contracts is only a very small part of the job. Increasing revenue, building the brand, and most importantly having a solid plan and executing that plan are more important than paying for players. Yet he failed to do so over the past 20 yrs, esp during the Carlo era, where Milan was the best team during that period.

I wish Modric would get less playing time so we could get a cut price on him, I think he'd be someone this team really needs. A real midfielder with real class, not to offend Essien for what a solid player he used to be, but let's face it he IS washed up or I doubt Chelsea would have let him go. Montolivo is a good player but sometimes a chicken with no head, whereas De Jong needs to play a Gattuso role like someone mentioned, and to do that he needs a 3 man midfield with two superstars beside him.
I think management should cash in while Balo still has value. He will certainly fit in at the Emirates.
If this goes down in the summer, hopefully...and I emphasize this word, hopefully, this will be the jumpstart for management's reinvestment and reinvigoration in the squad. We're all understandably skeptical here but I foresee this will actually happen. In Carlo's first season we saw Pippo, Nesta, Pirlo amongst others come in. Management could also do this for Seedorf.
