To me, the rebirth of this team will have to be a slow process. We have to do this one thing at a time. No matter how incompetent the current management is, no company (no sane ones, to be exact) will hand off the leadership to a 28 year old kid who had no prior experience whatsoever. That is simply strategic suicide. As much as I think the current regime is about 20 years behind the curve of evolution, dumping them all at once and replace them with a girl who is my age does not inspire any confidence either.

The current leadership structure of this team has fallen way behind the curve that it is going to take several major make overs to get us back on track. We see the problems in the forms of having no money, poor player development system, bad coaching and terrible players, but the real problem is with the fundamental structure of the management hierarchy. It is not just Galliani, but the entire management that is at fault for all of this. No major company in the world lets one man run the show and have everyone else act as his cronies the way we do. You can run a mom and pop store with that leadership set up, not a multi-hundred million dollar company. Barbara seems to understand that. She at least is trying to invest for a better future. Again, I don't know if she will succeed or not, but I at least see a glimer of light with her in charge.

It's cool, just thought you'd be interested in knowing there's a thread dedicated for the stadium rumours.

I agree the rebirth of this club (not just team) is going to be slow and painful. We've gone too far now for it to be something we can resolve over one summer or mercato.

About Barbara taking control, if what is rumoured is done, she has the best fighting chance to get the club back on track. I'm talking about her getting control to oversee the strategic outlook with her father's backing, whilst allowing experienced and knowledgeable people actually take on day to day duties of actually taking care of the details and making sure the right approach is taken (i.e. the various names linked with positions in the club).

Here's my take on it, Barbara's intelligent and she's knowledgeable in terms of running a business, because let's face it, she's a Berlusconi and her whole family is in various businesses. She's also got a dynamic and modern way of seeing business, something we desperately need. With others, who understand football (the Maldini or Albertini figures) and those who understand football as a business (the Sogliano or Prade in the football world), she'd have people who know how this industry works. If she's got a team together that she can trust and allow them to do their thing, with modern ideas and approaches, then we have every real chance of success.

It's not about giving an inexperienced 28 year old control, but about bringing together a new leadership in a club that needs it with the 28 year old the face of this group.

I do agree with your point, we can change our players, trainers, coaches and other positions as much as we want, but as long as those in power are making every stupid decision they possibly can, we're never going to set things right. Barbara isn't the person I think many would choose to lead this club, but right now she does appear to be the only one offering any sort of hope.

Selling Balotelli only to see him being replaced by far inferior matri like types. No thanks. I remain a big fan of balotelli and don't want to see him go. Partly because we all know what galliani does with 30 million ...

He does quite clearly hope the reinvestment would be smarter, much like all of us.

However, we've discussed it a lot recently and imo Balotelli needs to be sold while his value is still up, I honestly have no hope he'll ever sort himself out, quite frankly I think he's too stupid to ever behave like an adult. Just look at the video reza posted in his thread to see just another reason in a long list of why he has no place here.

2. Why does he give everything for Nazionale, but acts like an idiot for the club.


I think he does well on the field.. I like him and want to keep him.. but if he acts like the way he did in that video... forget it.. he's a loser.

He only plays a handful of games for Italy, that's why. If he was with the Italian national team every day like he is with Milan, and if he played 35-40 games a year with them too.....his stupidity would show over there too.

The main reason I don't want to lose balotelli is we'll never get someone better in that position. We need to sell balotelli when galliani's gone. Someone who can buy us a good striker who scores. Galliani's next move when selling mario would be getting back gilardino.

Rumours say we're interested in defender Joel Veltman from Ajax, but we face competition from Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal... I think we all know what that means.

I've seen Veltman a few times this season for Ajax and once for Holland. Really promising player. The thing that impressed me the most is his ability to play the ball from the back. Really comfortable on the ball and finds outlet passes (vertical ones) with ease. He didn't have to do too much defending in the games I watched though.

Yep from EURO's in 2012.. I remember it well... Sad. I'm old fashioned in that way... I don't care how good someone is.. if they're an idiot.. I don't want him on my team. They say CR7 is the hardest worker on the team.. or perhaps any team. With all his weirdness and cockiness, I'd rather a guy like him (not to mention he's best in world).

Oh well then.... If he is that dumb then we're f&cked whether we keep Balotelli or not.. because not only would he ruin us further, but he's protected by Berlusconi above him despite his horrendous management and transfer skills.

Any general manager that we might have after Galliani will not be any better, as long as there is the Berlusconi family owning our club. They are not investing, and maybe they are even taking the money from the club (we don't know that).

If they don't invest in their club, what is the point of having them as the owners??

Galliani, or whoever, will just have to work with the minimal transfer funds. At least Galliani can work some miracles as with Ibrahimovic few years ago.
