To some extent, yes, but Galliani will outsmart it (or should I say, out-dumb it). I am pretty sure that Galliani can still sign a big bunch of dumbasses to eat up all the "saved" money. If Essien can earn 2.5M (he does, does he? and he basically pushed Milan off the cliff in CL. Without him, we might even have a fighting chance with Atletico - not saying that we would win), why shouldn't any other half-decent player?

I'm sure if Berlusconi was planning on spending any type of money for the transfer of a very good player he'd be willing to pay the wages as well, but with a 2.5m cap we can really only sign young promising talents or free agents like Essien,Cole,Lampard or Eto'o.

With all due respect to lamp/cole/essien, none of them are as good of free agents as Eto'o, if we can get him for a year or two on 2.5m or less I would do it but get rid of Essien at the same time. We need someone coming off the bench for Balo when he's having one of those days, unfortunately when Pazzini is that player he makes no further impact, and obviously Matri wouldn't either. I saw Eto'o play for Chelsea this year and I still think he has some fuel in his tank. He's still faster than all our strikers at 33 years old lol.

Did his NT qualify for the WC? If he's playing in the world cup he'd probably start the season with us in really good shape.. OR then again too burnt out. IDK, it's a gamble but I've personally been a huge fan of Eto'o for a very long time, loved him at Barca and unfortunately Merda as well.

As far as the De Sciglio buzz, WTF? I'd never let him go for anything less than 25-30mln, especially with what players like him go for these days. If we sold him for 30m, Santon in for 6m, we can use the rest of the money to buy a world class player - that's smart business. Selling him for 15m is just stupid. There's a lot of potential to make a solid team this summer, but I dont know if Galliani& who else we have at our disposal is capable. It'll require a lot of SMART sales and even smarter purchases.

Honestly, what is going on at the top puzzle me.
I am not talking about from a fan stand point but from a financial standpoint or a Corp. consultant standpoint, it is not a power struggle but a complete mess.

Lady B might be focusing all on non-football side of Milan, which is great b/c it seems like she is doing well with pushing for Milan having its own stadium, marketing....

But what Gallaini is doing are just cancer. I do not buy the idea that Milan does not want to pay him to leave...b/c that money 50mil or whatever the amount will be paid sooner or later. Even if Galliani died during as CEO of Milan, Milan still needs to pay that money to his family. Thus thats no way sidestepping it.

The other point that some of you guys made was Galliani knows too many secrets of Berlu,...... Thats just non-sense since why would Galliani even attempt to do that? Lets not get into stuff like was Galliani involved...but why would someone like Galliani wants to declare war with Berlu and others who made those deals with Berlu?

Anyhow, to me Galliani is purposely screwing Milan over the past year or so and he will continue to do so until he is gone.

Gabriel I agree with a lot of what you said, but there is a problem with us simply not knowing what's going on at the top. For example, we don't know what impact the power struggle is still having, but I'm sure part of the mess right now is related. What I will say is we do know there was a power struggle and Silvio stepped in with the dual CEO stuff. I said at the time that was a nightmare resolution as we have two CEO's with completely different ideas trying to run a single business. For the most part, we've seen Barbara recede her influence in the sporting matters (at least publicly) where ultimately Silvio is taking more decisions with Galliani.

However, it's worth noting that whenever she's asked about what decisions will be made, she always responds by saying Silvio and Galliani will take decisions, not her. Likewise, Galliani has all but distanced himself from the business elements of the club, most recently saying Casa Milan was Barbara and her team's work. At the very least, on the face of it, the club has two CEOs that simply don't work together.

The way I see it, people talk about a split dressing room, but literally the whole company is split. In the middle of it remains Silvio, but he's clearly got other more pressing matters to deal with and just can't dedicate the time required to try and make this situation work. This is evident on the Seedorf matter, as based on rumours Silvio only knows the situation based on what he hears from others and like us what he sees on TV. The guy's got no real connection to the day to day activities within the club.

Then there's the whole Galliani knowing the skeletons in Silvio's closet. Is it really so difficult to believe that Galliani, who has worked for Silvio Berlusconi (a guy known for doing some nasty things in his life) for 30 years, doesn't know a few stories about Silvio's "personal business"? If Galliani was to leak this stuff, he could cause real damage to Silvio, who has always been extremely keen to have a strong public face. It's not as much about declaring war against Silvio, but using this information to essentially blackmail him. This stuff happens all the time in various walks of life and surely it's in Silvio's interest to keep it under wraps, given outside of Milan he's got many ongoing ventures where he can't afford scandals breaking.

Valencia wont respond to Milans offer.They want €7m and will not accept €3m then €4m fot Rami Cissokho then €3.5m for Rami and now €3.8m...I think we'll lose him as we will not pay €7m...

It really is a bit stupid that sites are still linking us to good players.You must just look at the low balling Valencia when a price was pre-agreed ,not even trying to meet QPR for Taarabt the extending Abiatti & signing Agazzi.Now this supposed €2.5m salary cap.Firing Seedorf because he recognised & talked of the squads limitations.
We wont be signing players that earn more than €2.5m it seems or players that arent free or under €4m.This is hoe it'll be im positive of it.
