Honda scored with a very hard shot. He should do more of that for us.

That shared by all Milanista.

And there is a crazy theory: A team with Milan players always win. It is applied to Netherlands, Colombia and Italy Big Grin

My friend a Juve fan said the same thing: a team with Juve players always win.

Let's see who will have bragging rights when Holland faces Chile.

MILAN! MILAN! SEMPRE PER TE!

Drogba is amazing, even if he doesn't score by himself. His impact was immediately felt as soon as he came in.
I wonder why Drogba did not start from the first minute. This guy is such a beast.

Not mine. I don't know where it originated from, but the theory is just ridiculously funny Big Grin

There could be other cases to be valuated: who is starter, who is not, who is more important for Milan,... Big Grin

Well, I am also looking forward to Holland vs Chile if some Juventini said that. Big Grin

Apart from the goal, Honda didn't do anything of note though, especially in the second half where his terrible passings ruined some of Japan counter attacks.

Thumbs Up
I have a theory of my own. Any team which has a 4 times world player of the year winner, would win the world cup!
Argentina will win the World CupĀ 2022

I watched both matches (well, I'm watching every match this tournament Big Grin ). Columbia look technically good and athletic, but I felt were quite stretched and surprisingly struggled against a pretty weak and ageing Greece side tbh.

The Japan - Ivory Coast match was pretty good. I was a little disappointed that for such a wonderful technically gifted side, Japan didn't show their abilities on the ball much, focusing too much imo on trying to play on fast breaks and a direct game than to focus on their strengths.

Ivory Coast very much showed their qualities, good technique, but especially pace and power. The Japanese simply didn't cope with the physical advantage of the Africans and they were extremely poor defending crosses (almost all from Nagatomo's wing). Had the Japanese played a more possession orientated games as a tighter unit (allowing them to double up and avoid too many individual battles), I think they would have had more joy.

That said, the Japanese are surely kicking themselves, as despite being able to do more, they were actually pretty comfortable until around the 65th minute, when the Ivorians got 2 quick goals.

That said, from what I saw in both matches, I think the group is all to play for and we could be in for a suprise if the Columbians don't tighten up.
