Except for Mascherano, this Argentine midfield is so ordinary that it is almost painful. Reminds me of Milan's midfield at times..

This is more like it. For the entire 47 minutes, we saw 3 shots by two teams combined, 1 on goal. (Seriously,) compared with yesterday's slaughter, today's bore-my-ass-off performance is more or less expected from two semifinalists.

The Dutch are too passive. They are worried about Messi and Argentina too much. If they actually try and play, they can outplay Arentina I think. But I guess it's not about outplaying anyone....but about winning.

I'll take an ugly Dutch win over a beautiful attacking loss. Big Grin

Nine of 10 times Argentina had the ball, in first half mostly, none of them bothered to move inside the Holland box to provide a target. Seriously, rewatch it and see, even Higuain would stop and not move further forward. Weird to see.
