If Hamsik and Ganso come, where will they play?
Seeing Allegri's tactic lately, I see Hamsik play behind strikers while Ganso takes Seedorf's role to control the midfield and Hamsik just play Boateng's role better.

I don't like the idea of Diego either at all. What worries me about Diego is his attitude. He seems to defy the coach sometimes, and I am sure that Allegri (or any other coach) would like that.
Whoever we get this summer (and I'm hoping for 2 flair players and one destroyer as a long-term back up for MvB/Ambro) I absolutely DO NOT want to see us playing with two pure DMs next season. It's anti-Milan heritage and not the stuff of dream teams (usually mid-table teams resort to these tactics when all they hope for is to get a point, or three if lucky from the game).
I started watching and supporting this team 20 years ago because of Milan's flair and class. If I wanted just winning and catenaccio I would've supported Juve instead. And it does worry me that quite a few posters here have a combination 2 DMs plus KPB in midfield. We only need ONE pure DM and KPB who is strong and athletic, as well as being handy in attack as well as defence, and that in my humble opinion is more than tactically balanced enough. Thus, I'll be happy with a technically gifted strong LM and an inventive CAM for next season. I would actually rather us see us playing with style next season rather than punting the ball to Ibra and hoping for the best, as we have done far too frequently this season.

Many here say AC Milan need 2 quality midfielders, but I think even with one quality midfielder coming, AC m's problems would be perfectly solved. You want to know why? Let the best pundit on MM explain things in simple way:
- Allegri prefers a defensive minded midfield
- Don't be surprise to see a 3 DM formation again some time in mid season

Simply replace those players with new ones
New Signing
Boateng Flamini
MVB/Ambro
Its a s simple as that  So why must buy tow players?

hahaha - Stupid auto spell check on my ipad. But if it takes a casino instead of Cassano to make the Hamsik deal happen, then do it!

Spot on mate. Allegris tactics this season have lead us to the league which is very good but consider our performance in the CL. Especially the one against Tottenham. I would rather have us play the Milan way (stylish with a lot of flair) than just scrape through with victories n hope for the best. Defensively we are brilliant and we have a rejuvenated defence this season. So am just hoping that we can add some flair up front and dominate Europe next season.
I tottaly agree mzk ..... messi is amazing for sure! But we have no chance getting him right now! And like the 2 line ups with 2 different squad that you posted my friend shows that the best defence is PLAYING ATTACKING!

I do not think you will get your wish. Lots already posted and seen on pitch point to Allegri using 2, maybe 1+ 1 'false' one in some games, ...
Zeekay, while I do think that you suggested formation is realistic and we will probably see Allegri deploy it, I don't think it is comparable to Ancelotti's Milan (if you are replacing players).
Flamini = Gattuso ... sure, maybe Flamini doesn't reach Rino's levels but same type of player
Boateng = Seedorf ... not similar at all, Seedorf is more creative/technical but physically not the beast Prince is
MvB/Ambro = Pirlo … this is the biggest problem. Pirlo is a visionary while those two players are destroyers.
This replacing of the positions is nothing like the original diamond by Ancelotti. Much less creativity, which is what you need to win the big titles.
I hope that, maybe not this year but in the long run, we get rid of the two destroyers in the midfield. Instead we need one destoyer (if he can pass accurately that is a plus) along with two dynamic players, one being Boateng, who while not creative can contribute going forward and help the defensive phase with their work rate. Then up top a creative player, a trequartista.
