^ Exactly and well said slifer.. It seems like Galliani&co are just continuously signing these past prime stars to keep us relevant, because people know the names, but unfortunately by the time these players are coming to Milan they add nothing but their names to our squad.
The only player I approve of over the last few years that we signed who's old and free is Alex. When he plays he gives our team life lines on so many occasions by making crucial interventions. I'm not too pleased with Diego Lopez, he's made a few fantastic saves but still not impressing me too much. Menez I currently dislike a lot, while I appreciate the work rate Torres puts in when he plays, and I like that he's a reference point when our clueless defenders toss the ball in the air up the field, he's our only player who can actually get onto them, which is always better than just losing the ball. Honda has played fantastic up until now, last couple of games looking slightly static like he did for the majority of last season, hopefully doesn't turn out that way.
I understand we have our skeptics surrounding Niang, and I'm not 100% convinced either, but again.. He was very impressive in preseason, hit a crossbar and forced numerous saves out of the San Lorenzo keeper in that game, yet he still hasn't even gotten a minute? It doesn't make sense - I don't care if he doesnt have the potential to be anything special, but from what I've seen in the preseason and against San Lorenzo, he should be given at least half a match every now and then. Besides, what do we have to lose when we're dropping points to the likes of palermo?
