Mexes is a joke, he was always overrated, only Gallaini had a hard on him and always said Mexes is WC and would love for him to play in Milan.....

Mexes is a joke, but Galliani is a bigger one. He never has a well-thought-out and well-executed plan when it comes to transfer and contracts.

He spared no effort trying to get rid of Mexes, and now he is renewing him? Sounds like Robinho story all over again!

So does that mean Mexes will get a 3-year renewal and 3m or 3.5m per annum? Then in his final contract year, we will send him a French club because he will "be happy" there playing for a home country club and having Milan pay 40% of the salary?

Like De Jong, Mexes renewals are in talks, with Milannews reporting the club will offer a limited length contract at half his current salary (i.e. 2m net).

I'm not for renewing Mexes. He's done well recently, but the club needs to start rejuvenating the backline.

I would give Abate the captain armband. Even Bonera (yes, with two red cards and numerous errors so far) would be so much better than Montolivo, Mexes, and Muntari. What a disgrace.

lol, wrong type of fire Honestly, the guy's a nutcase. Every match he plays he risks getting sent off, never mind constantly being an aggressor towards opponents. Just look at his reaction to Destro in the Roma match a month ago.

I want players to show character and fight, but Mexes is totally wrong. On top of that he had a disaster of a game where he was downright lazy in chasing his man. It's funny, as I watched the game on BT Sport and James Horncastle looked like he was about to tear his hair out at half time because of Mexes. Then yesterday during the Roma match, he mentioned Mexes and said he hoped it would be his last Milan match. Odd thing is, it's not like he's ever suggested he supports Milan or has anything against Mexes, but this match was clearly one where he'd had enough of the Frenchman.
