Reports in Belgium saying we are currently negotiating for Axel Witsel.
Valued at 12M, we could probably get him for a little bit less. He's a good player and investment but he's not the "man" who can bring us direct CL glory, let that be clear.

and, that is to assume that he did tell the truth. for all we know, it could be something orchestrated by galliani behind the scene.  while the media and fans are busy speculating like dog chasing its own tail or shadow, galliani is actually going to work on some player that is 1.81m or 1.77m tall and without nice hair or healthy teeth.

Correct me if i'm wrong. He's best suited for RCM because he plays typically DM, RW or CM. Then again when i watch this, he is left often... Where does that put boateng? Not a fan of him on LCM to be honest, he's more natural coming right. I suppose we could get witsel, hamsik and fabregas. Life wouldn't be so bad then  . Aggressive midfield with technique and goalscoring prowless.Witsel is only 21 too, which boads well for him. Last 3 years 10/11: 34 games, 10 goals 09/10: 33 games, 9 goals 08/09: 35 games, 8 goals

Well 8-10 goals a season would fulfill Galliani's requisite of a midfielder able to score goals.
For the record Hamsik is at 9, 12, 8. Bale scored 7 this season. All numbers are League goals.

Robinho drifts left on ball, pato is CF looking to find opening and score, and space opens from deep CM to make run, something allegri loves to do. Those runs were made ALLLL season but not finished nearly enough, and often unmarked. It's hard for defenders to pick that player up when they are concentrating on our forwards so it becomes responsibility of other teams CMs. Something that isn't natural.... That's why i think Hamsik in milan could get 15 goals....

I remneber Pastore said that if Rossi leaves Palermo he will leave too.
So mebye that is the best time to get him. My dream is Cesc/Ganso/Hamsik for LCM and Pastore+Lucas for the ACM.

Reports are Milan might take Aquilani if Juventus don't. I don't think Juventus are keen to buy him for 16 mil since they got Pirlo. Liverpool don't want him, he doesn't want england. I really think we can have him for 10 mil. If we got Witsel (10-12 mil), Aquilani (10-12 mil) and the 'gift' turned out to be other midfield purchase (Fabregas or Pastore) I feel prettty good about our midfield going forward. Not heavy spending but good balance
Fabregas (24), Seedorf (35), Boateng (24), Witsel (24), Aquilani (27), Van Bommel (34), Ambrosini (34), Merkel (19) and one of flamini/gattuso. I do doubt we'd buy more than 2 unless flamini or gattuso leave.

i think that we can sign one of Hamsik, Hernanes, Fabregas and Asamoah...For now, it seems Asamoah closer to us... i'd rather to spend money on Asamoah than Witsel, just because he is Serie A proven and proved himself at higher level than Witsel... also considering Belgian league is weak...Asamoah maybe lacks last touch and finishing, we need a player like him at RCM or LCM, who has good combination of pace, strength and tecnique... On defensive part, you have one more strong link in team defence, on offensive game, you have a player, who can making runs, join attacks, can keep the ball, provide movement from left or right CM, drive with the ball, can press well... This all make Asamoah a very good signing for our midfield trio...
i read lately so much about juventus on newspapers especially on GDS , as they are planning to use 4-2-4 next season. This is why, they might make some decisions on Marchisio and Aquilani... Pirlo is one of 2, probably inler will be another. Marchisio will be on the bench... i'd like Milan to sign Hernanes plus Asamoah for midfield. Then we will have both offensively and defensively solid midfield trio. -------Asamoah-------Van Bommel-------Hernanes-------- Looks pretty solid... |
