Can't see us buying 3 more players (Ibra, Witsel, Romagnoli) on top of what we have bought already. If we go by rumoured numbers we have spent 58 million so far. I don't have a problem if that number at end of summer is "only" 75-80. 75-80 probably means only one more player.
Let's make that one player a CD and see what happens. Hopefully the 75-80 and coaching can get us to top 3.
I'd like to think that we'll spend another 70-80 apart from what we've spent so far. We have to, if we want to challenge Juventus. But again, that's just me hoping. In that hopeful thinking is also the selling of a lot of our players. If we are only allowed to register 25 players older then 21....then there is no sense having anyone above that limit as we'd be paying them and they won't be able to play.....not that this is any different then what we've been doing the past few years.
Anyhow, it looks like we really want Romagnoli so I hope we get him soon. Then I expect things to get really quiet on the buying part until we get rid of some players. And in August, we can make another 1-2 signing...out of which I'm hoping 1 is a big game CM player and 1 CB.
I hope we spend that much too, but over 2 summers is fine to me.
For the 25 limit, by next summer, if not this one, the likes of Alex, Zaccardo, Nocerino will leave making the target easier.
I'm curious too about the Chinese Stock Market situation.
I'm not quite sure what to expect in this market right now. The only thing I feel any certainty on is a defender (hopefully Romagnoli) will come. I have some hope we'll still see other reinforcements, as with the squad as it is now, it's still just incomplete. I think players like Nocerino and Zaccardo will move on this summer.
I also want Romagnoli, mostly because that Mihajlovic knows him well. I used to love to have Thiago Silva back, but my concerns are growing over his injury and age, and salary of course.
I hope that we take a really good look into our primavera. I bet that we can find some gems there.

We need to spend more, as we must get back into CL. If we sign only a central defender the team aint good enough to reach top 3, wich would be terrible. Juventus , Roma , Napoli and even inter are miles ahead of us atm.

No real need to worry about the Chinese Stock Market. First off Bee and his associates are from Thailand, and unless they have invested heavily in China, should be relatively unaffected by that market. Also, The Chinese government actually have a hand in manipulating their own markets. They have a set daily maximum stock price increase/decrease limit before they suspend trading (it's set at 10%). If you've been following the recent news, the China Market has just posted two straight days of upward growth (all manipulated of course). So that situation won't escalate into anything big in the long run.
Considering players, the fact that we've been linked heavily with Witsel and Romagnoli would point to the fact that indeed Galliani is still negotiating for these two. The lack of positive news on Ibra can mean one of two things:
1. He's not as high a priority on the list, and hence Galliani's focus will only veer towards him IF we manage to seal the deals that we are aiming for (CBs and Mids), or
2. It's all just smoke in the air to hide Galliani's true intentions, which may be another entirely different player, and the team were never seriously aiming for him in the first place. It could've all been a ploy between management and the Agent to boost his value in the market by spreading rumors that we want him back. Notice how Ibra himself talks about Bayern and the like? I feel like he's trying to get himself onto a team that will easily win him some silverware (and give him a shot at the CL that's eluded him his entire career). Maybe by helping the Agent, we're trying to broker another deal for some other player under Raiola's back pocket.
In any case, I believe that if we have the money to spend, we will grab as many players as we can during THIS mercato and the winter one. Just like what Barca did right before their transfer ban (which I personally consider ridiculously useless because they're still buying players, just not registering them till 2016) when they swooped in for a bunch of players, we have to still match our revenues with our expenses somehow to fit with FIFA's rules, and given we were given additional investments from Bee during THIS summer, we're going to do everything we can to make sure we don't need to overspend in subsequent mercatos. This leads me to believe that Bee's investment is indeed a one-off large lump sum payment, and that further boosts in revenues will have to be earned elsewhere.
From recent performances, I would take any promising young defender over Thiago Silva. He may have been a hell of a player for us, but since the 2014 WC, I haven't been able to rate him as highly. Given a choice, I'd still take Romagnoli over him.
Still hoping for two CB additions right now. I have more faith in Zapata than Mexes, and that's not saying much because neither of them inspire much confidence either way. I'd even try Rodrigo Ely with a Romagnoli-esque CB against some of the smaller teams instead, to be perfectly honest.
By the way, why is no one talking about our first friendly? Last I heard we were winning 5-1 with Niang scoring 2 in the second half.
We got the young 'un's. We take out big gunzÂ
Kondogbia, Murillo, Miranda and Montoya is really better than we have done?
I still think coaching and cutting down on goals allowed will do a lot, obviously better CDs are needed to do that, probably more than one but I am kind of scared of Bee spending 100+ million in one window and then expecting immediate results. For example I don't expect us to be CL contenders for a long while yet, even with big spending.

Bah, I thought they'd at least start a thread. I didn't see one so to me there was none
Miha knows his thing. Two things stood out in his post-match interview.
1. We need another Central Defender.
2. Mexes needs to change his attitude.
If he can manage to deal with both, then I'll consider him a fairly decent coach. Defense has been leaky for too long, and if he could see that after a 5-1 win against a crap team we were dominating against to comment on it, then it must have been really bad.

I think two to three new big money signings are reasonable to expect from the team. The fact of matter is, we have already spent a lot this summer, so there is really no reason to hold back now and leave the team in a half ass state. Berlu is clearly determined to get this team back to CL this season, so what's the point of saving 20M on a defender only to have a good offense and leaky defense and end up missing CL again? We still have almost two months left in the window to shop around and negotiate, I just can't see us standing pat or only go after one new player. A good defender and midfielder are, at this point, guarantees to me. Miha is not stupid and he knows he can't relay on Paletta, Zapata and Mexes to win him games no matter who he has on offense. Midfield also needs a true box to box all around player that he didn't get with Kondogbia. The wild card is obviously Ibra. If he can leave for minimal fee or free, then we definitely will get him. If the negotiation becomes difficult, I can see us getting a defender and midfielder, and just leave it as it is. No point bring in another forward without Ibra's quality since we already have so many options there.
