Instead of signing a class midfielder, we go ahead and get an average one. I don't know what to say....

Marseille got Lucas silva on loan from Real. Couldn't Galliani exploit his friendship with Real instead of constantly exploiting his friendship with Genoa. He hasn't got much of a chance at Real but he showed quality every time he played. He is strong and can pass the ball- If we have to take a low cost risk then might as well go for Silva.

Lucas Silva is non EU , so we could not of signed him even permanently if Real offered us 100m to take him.

Kucka...epitome of average , but I guess midtable teams sign midtable players...

Well, here is one thing that hasn't been mentioned so far and that I think is very positive: Genoa had an outstanding season by their standards last year, and their central midfield duo was made up of Bertolacci and Kucka, who are both Milan players now. The fact that they know each other so well is a big advantage for us. If Mihajlovic does what Gasperini did, he will let Kucka handle most of the defensive duties, giving Bertolacci more creative freedom.

Luca Antonelli's dad (and agent, I guess?) says that he would rather have bought Kucka than Kondogbia, and that he can become a major player for us.

De Jong and Kucka will provide us with lots of muscle in midfield, while Bonaventura and Bertolacci provide skills and creativity. Kucka should meanwhile also be able to contribute in attack, to a much greater extent than De Jong.

Yes they were good for Genoa , and will easily solidify us as midtable kings...spin it how ye like 90m spent and the team looks no better is crazy
