Steelers... :5milan: ...the NFL :5milan: :5milan: The NFL is a bunch of fat guys in tight uniforms feeling up each others butts!! LOL

I grew up in Girard!!! You visit for work? What do you do?

Around here, we pretty much know that if there is a boating accident, it's anout of towner, usually from Pittsburgh....b/c the locals know the lake and when not to go out on it and how to read it.

Anyway to answer you questins about games at the San Siro...it's been a few years since I've been there but I don't recall people eating or drinking in the stands. Possibly at halftime??

i sell hydraulic piping systems...
boating on lake eril can be quite challanging, them storms blow in quick.

No concessions? i pictured wine and cheese stands, like our beer and hot dog stands.

I've been to Milan twice for games, went to Milanello and got the "royal treatment" b/c of a friend of mine. Did go to a practice in Florence, right before we signed Rui Costa. Haven't had a chance to go to a game in another city. Be prepared, seeing the San Siro is breath-taking. I never understood that till my first trip there. Coming in fromt he airport and seeing it glint in the morning sun...it was like...oh my GOD...the mothership has landed! :3band: :3band:

It takes more than 4 h with any special/fast train. The normal ones take more. Any place except Curva Sud would be lovely. I suggest orange section, either 1st or 2nd tier, depends on your wallet. But the quest for the tickets is not an easy affaire.

Ps. if you will have the chance to see San Siro on a CL day you will be like the ancient barbarians coming to Roma and seeing the Colosseum : completely astonished.
The first songs you hear are like a storm.
My first game there was Milan -Juve October 15th 1995 (Simone,Weah,Del Piero) and what i still remember as my first imprssion was how green was the pitch and how close was my position to it.
San Siro is imponent and magnificent even from outside: don't miss this event!

mrki

Except for the green pitch and the fact that 85 000 people are in there, astonishing is the amount of noise Cruva can make. And some special moments like Dida's warmup, or Gattuso entering the field, or Sheva at his best :(

Anyway, if you have a chance, visit San Siro, dont miss it!

couple of questions about attending a game:
i think i read somewhere that they dont sell any food or drink @ the san siro? is this true? if so do people bring their own?
and what is the drink of choice?
i attend a lot of hockey, & american football and its all about beer.

I suggest you to have a meal outside the stadium, where a lot of street kiosks stand everywhere around the site.
Outside they sell beers, drinks, and food of every genre, from piadine to kebabs.
Inside the stadium, you can get a coffee or a snack, but there aren't proper restaurants, except in the big towers on the top of the stadiums. If you look at those towers, you see some windows. Those windows are the windows of a small restaurant. But you have to be in the third tier, if i remember correctly.

We usually bring alcoholics from home or from markets around the stadium. But police will ask you to leave the bottle cap at the entry, because bottles are supposed to be less dangerous if they can't hold the stuff closed inside.

I don't know about the recent rules, but i think taking stuff inside, even food or drinks, will be even more difficult.

I will be at Milan 3.-7.5. and I'm going to watch Milan-Fiorentina match. I would like to go to secondo anello Curva Sud but it seems that you can't buy tickets there from Milan's website. So what should I do?

Secondly: could you give me names of some pubs near San Siro where Milan fans gather before games?

Hi, people! Greets from Russia!
I'm a loyal Milan fan. I've been reading your discussions here on for long, just have never posted here.

Frankly speaking, I've registered to ask one question. Hopefully Giovanni could answer it. :(
The thing is that I'm going to visit Milan in September, to be more precise the first weekend of September. So there'll be the opening of seria a (surely I should follow the schedule, but approximately it occurs at the beginning of autumn). And so I'd like to attend the very first Milan match of the season. And the question is:
1) Is it really possible to book tickets online in the summary as soon as the Match Schedule is made public?:u31:

Greetings from Canada.

I will be traveling from Canada to Athens for the Champions League Final. Please inform me how the tickets to Milan fans will be sold. Will they sell via the Internet or do you have to be located in Milan to purchase?

Will they be sold to season ticket holders only or can anyone apply.

When will the tickets be sold?

I travelled to Istanbul and was able to purchase a ticket outside the stadium. I do not think it will be so easy this time.

Any assistance in purchasing a ticket for this game will be appreciated.

Donaldo.

Hi mate. Concerning you question i'm not the right person to answer. As you can imagine, i've never booked any ticket on internet. I just go to official ticket selling banks, called Banca Intesa.

Anyway, i don't really know, but someone will answer you within a short period of time.

hi - once the schedule is released then th first game will go on sale online about 2 weeks before the game- its usually a month approx but with first game its always a rudh and always date changes up till last minute so you will just have to sit tight and wait- it wont be nter or juve in forst week so you will be okay for online tickets- howeve ri will be renewing all my season tickets and so worst case scenario they will be availble for use

Hello.

I've booked flights and a hotel for the No 4th game against Torino.

Is the best thing to do for tickets, to o to Banca Intesa and buy the there?

The game shouldnt be sold out so I guess it wont be that hard to get them.

Also how much does it cost for the best seats? It says 270 Euros on teh Milan site but that seems a bit too high. You can get a season ticket for almost that much!

I will be in Italy on December 23rd when Milan face the merda Inter. I have two questions that I hope someone can help me with...

FIRST: Whenever I go to the official website, tickets are NEVER on sale. I've realized that on Inter's official site, their booking engine is awesome. It's an easy application that allows you to buy the tickets and pickup at the ticket window that day. Being that Inter are considered the home team, they will be selling tickets a couple days beforehand on their site. Does anyone have any other suggestions or should I just got through Inter's site. Once they have a home game, they usually open the sales online. Also, is there a section I should be looking for that is not too rowdy or partial? Obviously the Nord is a bad idea with Milan fans being in the Sud.

SECOND: Me and my wife will be going to the game together. We are both AC Milan fans and are proud to show it. The only thing is that I've never been to a derby before. Is it safe?? We cheer our team on, but we're not obnoxious and are usually the ones to look forward and walk. Will it be safe to go to the match? It will most likely be the night game on Sunday so I want to make sure everything is fine before we buy tickets.

If anyone can help, it would be great. Thanks!

ag, I went to 4-3 Milan derby last year.

I got my ticket off a tout on Friday afternoon(day before game), right outside the San Siro. It was 100 Euros a ticket for seats on the red ring of the second tier. Good view. It was basically a 50/50 mix of Inter and Milan fans here and no violence at all. The North and South are obviously just packed with Inter and Milan fans respectively. I tired getting tickets on Milans website but they sold out in about 2 hours and I was asleep when this happened. I got them off a tout no hassle though but you probably wont be able to do this as easily due to calciopoli and stuff.

Yes it is very safe. As I say, I saw no violence at all. You could happily walk around Milan with your shirt on ad no one would say anything to you. Very good atmosphere

i have a house in milan, and tickets arent hard to get, i dont know the exact website, but banca popolare milan sells them for good prices, and if your willing to buy off ebay there dirt cheap and ussualy easy to get, i dont usualy buy tickets because iam an ultra with vikings inter 1979, it wont be cheap, coming from north america that will be an easy 5-6 thousand in flights, tickets, hotels and extras.

some useful information on buying tickets for all serie A matches:

There are various ways of getting tickets for a Serie A or B game. Many clubs sell advanced bookings on their official websites (see below), but for less prestigious matches you can buy tickets on the day at the stadium or in special kiosks in the city. Check newspaper ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’ on match day and it will tell you which tickets are still available and at what price.

New anti-violence regulations insist you bring identification that confirms you bought the ticket. With this in mind, you must travel to the match with some sort of photo ID.

Tickets range from £10-£20 for the Curva (the area behind the goals where the hardcore fans tend to set up), up to £80 for Distinti and Tribuna (the seats along the sides of the field). The tickets for the big games can cost more, but some clubs run special offers for children and even a discount if you are female (Cagliari, Siena, Brescia and Parma among others). Don’t worry if your tickets show two non-consecutive numbers as they are in fact adjacent seats.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What time are the matches?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Serie A and B calendar is now staggered to spread between Friday and Monday, though the exact dates and times are not released by the Italian FA until around two weeks beforehand.

Most Serie A ties are played on Sunday afternoon at 3pm local time, though there are two evening games at 8.30pm, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, and a 6pm kick-off on the Saturday. The evening ties tend to be the biggest matches of the weekend, but also take European fixtures into account. For example, if Inter are scheduled to play in the Champions League on Tuesday, their Serie A game will likely be brought forward to Saturday.

Serie B is not so easy to predict. One tie will be played on Friday evening at 8.45pm, another at the same kick-off time on Monday night. The remaining matches are at 3pm Saturday.

so im thinking to go to the derby this season in december, im already arranging the flight and hotel which until now will cost me over $4000 but its all worth if i get to watch the game. ill try to buy tickets from a ticket office by phone but for worst case scenario is it possible at all to buy tickets the day before or the same day at the san siro?? my spending range is up to 400 euro, i may even pay more if i get great seats. from what ive been hearing but im not sure if its effective is i cant enter the stadium without my name on the ticket?! so does this mean i wont find people selling tickets outside the stadium??!

any help at all would be great, ticket offices i can call to buy tickets, advise, anything.

Can you bring a camera into the stadium since the new restrictions came into place?

Yes you may definently bring cameras into the stadiums. There is a formal check done once you walk in, to check for weapons and flares, and sometimes drinks, because they would rather you buy them there. But most definently cameras are allowed unless they find something suspicious about you or your camera.

I did phone Milan Point today but they weren't much help - I was able to speak to someone who spoke a little english but they mustn't have been aware of the 7pm Saturday deadline (or maybe they just wanted rid of me) as they kept telling me to go to San Siro on Sunday. :nervous:

I don't know what we will do - maybe go out to stadium to see anyway. I have emailed ACMilan ticket office explaining my problem but haven't heard from them yet.

I was carrying a bottle and the man on the gate just told me to take the top off of it so I couldnt throw it I presume.

So i called a couple of Milan authorized ticket sale offices, they directed me to Banca Popolare Di Milano and Inter Milan Club they told me tickets wont be released until a couple of weeks before the game. Although i found some tickets online best seats (Block S, im assuming its the 300 euro tickets) but they cost around $900 which is way too much. im willing to pay upto 400 euro. I have already bought my plane ticket and hotel which cost me around $4000 and it would be really a shame if i pay all that and travel half way around the world and not be able to watch the derby.

Any help at all would be really appreciated..

Thank You

So, I went to the Torino game.

I ended up buying the tickets from the ticket office about an hour before Kick Off outside the San Siro. I even got to see a fight where some man got Knocked on the floor! I tried buying them from the official shop (new milan point) but I forgot my passport and they had stoped selling tem by the time I got it.

Quite easy to buy the ticket really. Just queue up at the ticket office trailer thing and buy them.

Funnily enough I ended up in almost exactly the same spot as when I went last year.

Shame about the match being crap though :(

Recoba or anyone who can help, I have family members who have tickets all the way up top on the Sud side of the stadium... Now these are the ones way up behind the goal. Are these really bad seats in the stadium? Is the game not visible? Also, are these safe tickets since I will be attending with my family? Please advise.

Thanks!

i'm in the same mess as you are. trying to find tickets is extremely hard. i'm looking for derby tickets on dec 23rd and am finding it very difficult. i have family in Milan that will probably end up getting them for me. From what I have heard on here is that banks sell them during the week before or if you go to the stadium directly. this isnt much help for you at all, just venting my same frustration. :5ok:

Your bets bet is not to buy tickets through offcial websites, because most off the time it might not work, and they get rid of the good seats, so they are reserved for customers of the country(italy), And buying them online is also a big mistake especially when using credit card, because most of the time, you will get an email saying that it didnt work out, and they end up keeping your money, and you get no ticket. Just a good word of advice.

ill be in Italy on December the 18th and the game is on the 23rd from your experience and prediction, what are my chances of getting a good seat, preferably the "Tribuna d'Onore Rossa"?

the thing is i already made all the arrangements and paid for the plane tickets and everything which is costing me over $4000, id kill myself if i do all that and not attend the game which is my sole purpose.

Sorry if I offended you or anyone else. We can only offer advice and people need to understand that. Please look at it from my end of things--if it starts to look like we're trafficking tockets, we could get in trouble. Obviously our topic on where to buy tickets isn't where people can see it. Let's make one with all the info people need, stick it and that's that.

Hello everyone!

I'm making my second pilgrimage to San Siro in March.
The first one was in 2005 for the first CL-derby leg.
It was quite an experience to watch that game in Curva Sud secondo anello :)

We also had tickets for the serie A game which was cancelled due to the death of the Pope. Unfortunate, but Pope's funeral in Rome was a once in a lifetime event.

This time we are hoping to see Milan-Lazio 2.3., Milan-Arsenal 4.3.
and Inter-Liverpool 11.3.

If I'm not mistaken, some changes have taken place in the ticket acquisition process. You now have to have your name printed on the ticket, right?
But, on this topic somebody wrote that touts are still working their trade despite the changes.

Anyways, the tickets.
Tickets for the Milan-Lazio -game should be fairly easy to get, right?

My only problem is this.
Looking at the ticket info regarding Milan-Genoa -game at the club's website,
I found this:

VENDITA ALLE CASSE DELLO STADIO
I biglietti disponibili presso le casse dello stadio il giorno della partita saranno venduti solo ed esclusivamente AI RESIDENTI NELLA PROVINCIA DI MILANO.

Does this mean that on the match day, tickets are sold at the stadium
only for the citizens of the province of Milan?

This might be a problem, because our plane arrives in Milan late at night on Friday the 29th. If the match were played on Sunday the 2nd, one could go to Milan Point or other offical ticket selling places and buy the ticket on Saturday.

However, since Milan is playing CL on Tuesday, I'm pretty certain that the game is moved from Sunday to Saturday.

If this is the case, can you buy tickets at Milan Point or somewhere in the city on Saturday? I suppose banks are closed.
Does the "sold only for Milano residents" -limitation apply only to tickets bought at the stadium on the match day, or does it restrict ticket sales in the city on Saturday as well. (I think the quoted paragraph refers to the stadium only, but I'd like to be certain.)

How about the CL-games?
Any chance of getting tickets to those?
What would be my best bet?
Ask somebody living in Milan to get the tickets?
Try to get them through the hotel?
(We were planning on staying on budget hostels,
but I suppose we could climb up the ladder a few steps
in order to get tickets to those games via the hotel.)

Any help, especially with the CL-tickets, would be greatly appreciated.

Yours,
Juha

Hey frozen,
welcome to the forum and how's tampere? i used to live there.
yes, the tickets issue is a real pain right now because we don't have online sales. you should be able to buy them at the stadium if you get there early enough, it won't be sold out but it can be nerve-wracking waiting it out! (especially with Pato-fever!). there is a guy here that you can PM named wils6000 that has season tickets that he hires out. i have no information at all about reliability. you should also hunt down giovanni as he is in italy and clued in to the whole process.
as for CL, we got ours for the milan-bayern game last year through our hotel. it was a bit expensive but the seats were top and it was a nice feeling knowing all was settled. for something that is a once a year thing or maybe once every two years, for me it was worth the price to be able to just fully enjoy the whole experience. if you are interested in that route i can give you the info of the hotel we stayed at and their prices (in fact, i think i still have the letter they sent with prices).
good luck, forza milan!

hi

for milan v genoa it is true that they will sell tickets up until 24 hours beofre the game in banks ansdmilanpoint and and then on the day of the game- howver on the day of the game they are only for milan residents- this si to stop genoa away fans form turning up on the day and buying tivkets for milan sections etc-

so i guess that this will be in force for most games now - so in regards to miln v lazio this could be a problem as tickets on sale to milan residents only on the saturday which us when u arrive- pm me if you wish about tickets as can easliy be got round with a bit of notrce and time

Hi!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is less information in english than in italian on how to get tickets for CL-games on Milan's website.

Could somebody please tell me what does the following mean:

Prelazione: da martedì 15 gennaio a martedì 5 febbraio
Prelazione speciale: da mercoledì 6 febbraio a giovedì 7 febbraio
Vendita libera: da venerdì 8 febbraio

Who is entitled to prelazione? Season ticket holders?
When buying tickets, what information must be given?
Is the buyer's name enough or does one need to give passport number or something else?

Moreover, if somebody knows what are the sales dates for Inter-Liverpool-game tickets, I would appreciate the information.

basically at moment until february 5th - seaon tricket holders only can buy tickets for the game - then on 6th- 7th february season ticket holders can move where they are sitting fo th game- then on 8th it will be general sale-

to buy tickets they will require name, passport number and fiscal code- this gets diffciult if not a italian resident - but if you can get t bank in milan or milan point then that will be okay - you cant buy via fax or internet for this game

with the timing of the derby this year bing few games till th end of seaon i tihnk this year getting ac milan ections will be a lot easier as it is potentially a title match for inter !!- when they go on sale at banks etc then she must q to get them but as i say for this year i reckon if inter can win title that day it may be slower sales !!!!!

Is the third level of San Siro closed in the Milan-Arsenal game?
I can't find 3rd level tickets prices on Milan's website,
and one Internet ticket agency claimed that the 3rd ring is closed.

What is the stadium's capacity without the third ring?
According to this article

over 50 000 tickets are sold,

Hi there, hope somebody can help me.

Myself and a couple of mates are looking to have a short visit to Milan at the end of March. Of course no trip to Milan would be complete without taking in a game, so we are looking to go to the AC v Atalanta game on the 30th March. However, I am just trying to find out some info about getting tickets.

Is it true that you have to be a local to buy tickets, will it be a problem being British?
Where and when is the best time/way to get tickets? Should we just get them on the gate (I doubt it will be a sell out).

Hopefully you will be able to give me some advice, I would really love to see AC play while i'm there. Just don't want to get all the way to Milan and find out we can;t go for some silly reason.

cheers

My attempts to get tickets to Milan-Arsenal are backfiring one after another.
Antares-hotels did not have any tickets left,
so I was hoping that my Rome-living colleague would get the tickets.
She went to six Banca Intesa offices, and some of them did not even know what she was talking about when she asked for tickets, others had already sold out their "preallocated quota of paper tickets".

I thought that one could go to any Banca Intesa office in Italy
and ask if there were any tickets left. If there were, the bank teller would then take the buyer's personal information and would print the ticket from the computer. Obviously I was wrong. Well, life is a learning process :)

Now I'm asking from those living in Italy if there has been anything in the papers that Milan-Arsenal is officially sold out.

At the moment my options seem to be: Try to buy the tickets from some Internet ticket agency and pay 200-300 euros.
Or wait until Saturday and go to Milan Point and see if they have any tickets left.

Does Milan Point have same kind of system as Banca Intesa that they only get a certain amount of preprinted paper tickets or can they sell tickets from their computer system as long as there are any tickets left?

Giovanni
26-02-2008, 15:50
The tickets are sold out. I went to Banca Intesa the first day the tickets were sold, and i barely got a couple. The day after there were just 3rd ring tickets available.

Banca Intesa are many times reluctant in offering ticket services. You have to complain and scare them. They HAVE TO print tickets, no matter how boring it is for them. I think many assistents think it's a bore to go and take the matrix on which they have to print your date with the computer, and wait until the data are accepted.

Don't give up. I heard that you can take them from touts, and get your data changed at the boxes outside the stadium, but i point out that i'm not sure about this news, and you better inform yourself to the boxes outside the stadium before buying a ticket from touts.

We tried to get tickets to Milan-Lazio-game from both Milan Points.
In the San Fedele shop "computers were offline",
so they said they were unable to sell tickets.

In the other Milan Point "tickets were sold out".
I have a hard time understanding how tickets can be sold out,
since the stadium was like half full.

The only explanations I can come up with are:

Either the guy did not want to take the trouble of selling tickets to foreigners
suspecting that we did not have a fiscal code (although we had actually made codes for ourselves on the Internet).

Or Milan Point is given a preordained number of paper tickets (which was the explanation that was given to my colleague who tried to buy tickets in Banca Intesa offices in Rome) and after the quota of paper tickets is sold, Milan Point does not get more of them.

However, the "our computers are offline" explanation that was given to me at the other Milan Point suggests that Milan Point does actually have access to a computer system through which they can sell tickets as long as there are seats available in the stadium.
But, since the computers were conveniently offline,
I cannot tell whether such a computer system exists...

We went to the stadium an hour before the kick off and got our tickets showing our passports. No fiscal code was needed.

If Milan's opponent is not one of the top teams,
I would recommend buying the tickets at the stadium ticket office.
This is probably the easiest way,
since buying tickets in advance seems to very difficult in Italy,
at least for a foreigner.

I apologize the negative tone of my posting,
but the ticket acquisition process was quite frustrating
and I felt like I was being lied to.

Hello raulrdz, it seems we have almost the same need.
I am italian, and living in Italy (far from Milan).
I need to buy a Milan-Vs-Inter ticket for a spanish friend and his father, who are going to come here directly and then get to Milan just in time for the match. I never have been to the stadium and never thought it was such a hell to buy 2 simple tickets!!! I can't buy them in a Banca cause they ask me for a italian fiscal document of the ticket owner (!). Of course I can't tell my friends "just go to Milan and get your way for the tickets"! Can they get it in Barcelona or in the Internet? Can I get two tickets for me and then change the owner? Please take in consideration that one of them is just 17 years old. At the Milan site I had NO help. Please help me, so I can help two real *MILANISTI*!!!

Yes, San Siro Tour is open on Saturdays.

http://www.sansirotour.com/english/index.html

It is relatively easy to reach the stadium, you take Line M1 (the red one) to Lotto Fiera 2, and from there it is approximately a 20 minute walk. Make sure you get on the train that says Rho Fiera, because Line M1 branches off in two, Northwest and West, and you need to take the Northwest one. You can also take Tram #16 straight from Piazza Duomo to San Siro.

jtelly
22-03-2008, 08:16
The tram is a really nice ride to the stadium, you can view a bit of the city.
Does anyone have any thoughts on why it is so difficult for us to get tickets online? I went to a few other teams websites to check it out and it all seems fairly straightforward. It just seems like all season people have been on this thread freaking out about getting tickets because of a lack of on-line availability? Surely with fax/email, etc. one can send the passport or whatever they need to satisfy the requirements? I got lucky because they were still easy to get last season (I got online for Milan v Empoli and picked them up at the stadium) but it definitely puts a damper on my enthusiasm to go if tickets are not already purchased.

with the new id laws and ticket sale laws in italy at moment it basically means that banks in milan and milan point will sell tikets for game s but only in milan or neighbouring regiosn, bergamo etc etc as they have the ticket print facilities etc- ticket ofice not guranteed to be open on match days anymore as depedns on profile of game and police determin if high riskj etc- so the derby i will assume will come under this and so all ticket sales will be at authorised selling points two weeks roughly beofre the game but for the derby the q ill be masive and so unoikely to get them for the game that way - best bet is to hrow out a requet to any seaon ticket holders out there that arent going to the game themselves and see if they will sel the game to you as they can send you the seaon ticket or meet you in milan - i have sold all my derby tiks unfortyuantely , for udinese game i tihnk that gettign tickets will be a lot easier however ther eis talk of them moving the games to the saturday for the final matches as pope is visting genoa i think an so they may sell tickets for the game up until the friday ngiht- throw in that it may be maldinis last game and also milan pushing for cl plac ein final game so i expect the game to be a sell out or near to full depeodng on situation at the time- agian the authoriosed outlets will do the match tickets and no online sale - think that will only begin gain next seaon wonce they iron out the id detials required etc- i do have seaon tickets still available for udinese game if int - i will be in milan for the game

And if i send a mail to one of the Milan Point's, with a copy of my id-card, is it possible to buy a ticket in advance? Then they can either send it to me in Belgium or i can pick up the tickets on Saturday when i'm in the city ? However, i want to be sure that i have match tickets, before i book a city trip to Milan. I already asked an official Milan Fanclub here in Belgium, i'm waiting for the response there.

Any recommendations as to where to sit in the ground?

I want to go the last game of the season, Milan-Undinese on may the 18th. Does anybody know if there is a fixed term before the match when the tickets go on sale? Like for example two weeks would make the 4th of May. Can somebody please help this Rossonero from Holland.

I want to travel to Milan with the ticket in my pocket if you know what I mean. What kind of guarantee would you be able to give me? also please bear in mind that the whole serie a shdule on final day may move to saturday 17th as the pope visuts genoa i believe on the sunday and so their match will move to the saturday - under italian fa rules all final matches must be played at same timeto give no team an advantage of knwing results etc beofr ethey play for cl , uefa cup qualification and more importantly relegation battles- they havnt announced for scertian what they are doing yet- so bear in mind when booking flights and hotels etc

Hi,
I'm from Singapore. Actually I'm from Bombay (India) but currently working in Singapore. I'll be travelling to Italy mid Sep and have planned to be in Milan
on the 21st especially to catch the Milan v Lazio game. I would like to know if there is any way to get tickets apart from http://www.mpestero.com ? I would
prefer to pay via credit card instead of doing a bank transfer and all. I came
across http://www.1st4footballtickets.com/ac-milan-tickets.html anyone
has anyone experience purchasing tickets from the above mentioned website?
Would it be taking a big chance to try to get tickets on match day? This is the 1st time I'll be ever watching a football match live so I'm really excited and looking forward to it.
thanks.

Hey guys,

Listen, I've gotten a few confirmations from different sources about the kick off time for the Derby Sun 28th Sept an seems that 8 30pm it is ???
So I'm gonna go ahead and buy tickets but just wanted to runt he cost of the tickets past some of you....€172 each for category 3, from a site called http://www.official-milan-tickets.com
Is that a bit too expensive, or is that the price for the game that it is.
I was kinda hoping to get tix for about €50/60. each ??

to answer a few questions about my trip:

airfare NY JFK to Malpensa $637 round trip - because of the saturday night stay - without the saturday night stay it was well over $2,000.

game ticket through a broker $296 American - will be delivered to my hotel the day before the match (only thing i'm worried about) but it should be fine.

Hotel Milea Milano: $300 American for the night

I'm flying in (landing) on saturday morning 8:00 AM - match is that night locally at 8:30 PM - some good food and drink and i'm back on a plane and back in New York at 1:47 sunday afternoon.

so here are the totals american:

air: $637
ticket: $296
hotel: $300

family kicked in a huge part of it because of the birthday - I CANT WAIT - and if i'm not mistaken it will be david beckhams first home match (assuming he can crack the lineup) gatuso being out will help him get in there.

They print names on the tickets to AC Milan games? I'm from Dallas and was wanting to watch the Feb. 22nd match vs Cagliari. Can I not just go to the stadium and get tickets from scalpers for cheaper than face value (I'm assuming this match will not sell out)? I fly to milan every 2 weeks or so for our home games and I buy my tickets on the day. All you need is your passport (and money).

You can buy tickets for every home (except for big games like inter, juventus etc as these are sold out in advance) at the ticket office outside the San Siro.

Alternatively you can buy the tickets at www.acmilan.com

www.acmilan.com has a limited number of sections available. This is why I don't buy them here as I generally go to the second green section - best value in my opinion at €18.

we wound up sitting in the red section, because the orange section was sold out

we went to the stadium on saturday to buy our tickets, but none of the stands were open. we spoke to the people working in the stadium musuem and also the stadium store and they assured us we could buy tickets the day of the game

there are free buses from the lotto area to the stadium, which was nice. we stayed at the montebianco hotel near the lotto area, so the free buses to the game were right there by the hotel

our tickets were 34 euros each and they were in section 233. it was great because we were in the first row and no one was infront of us and i could stand up and jump around in the aisle every time we scored! :)

i was the only one who did this for every goal...but i didn't care...i was so happy!!!

Jacko: thought id let you know if you're still reading, since we're both looking into the same match. From what I've gather of info online it seems that most places will sell tickets for 3-4 times the price you get on the stadium at the day of the match. I don't like the thought of travelling down there without a 100% ticket myself, but I can't see the match getting sold out either really.

A little question to those who's been there before. Do they only sell the tickets on the stadium at the day of the match or days before aswell? If I'm taking the trip I will travel down there at about thursday so if they are for sale on friday it shouldnt be a big issue for me

You can buy tickets on line at www.acmilan.com.
You can also buy tickets on the day of the match outside the San Siro at the OFFICIAL ticket offices. This is where I get mine. I have no italian and there is still no problem buying the tickets.

Very important:
If you're buying the tickets at the San Siro you MUST HAVE YOUR PASSPORT. You also MUST HAVE YOUR PASSPORT when when entering the ground.

No passport = no ticket...and I've seen people turned away at very game.

Hope this helps

Hi milanfan,

I'm living in Dublin and have gone to plenty of Milan matches.

The best airport to fly to is definetly Linate Airport. This airport is really close to the city. You can get a local bus then from Linate to the city center (€3 for metro+bus+tram pass for 24 hours).

Aerlingus fly to Linate Airport (in the morning). They have really good deals at the moment. You can get a return flight to Linate for €67 but you have to book by 7th Sept.

Aerlingus also fly to Malpensa Airport (in the evening). However they only fly 3 or 4 days a week and will no longer be operating on this route form November.

Ryanair fly to an airport in Bergamo. The bus from here is approx. €15 return - so you need to add this on to the price of your flight.

My advice would be to fly to Linate. Only fly to Bergamo if Aerlingus is expensive.

You will have no problem getting tickets on the day unless they are playing Inter/Juve/Real Madrid. You can buy tickets at the San Siro on the day. However if you want to get a ticket on-line then www.acmilan.com sometimes sells tickets. I get my season ticket through www.mpestero.com. They are very good.

DO NOT PAY €195 for a ticket. My season ticket cost me €180 -
so paying €195 for one game compared to €180 for all league games is excessive.

Don't get a place near the stadium. Get a hotel that is on the metro line. Transport in Milan is very very good (compared to dublin at least) so you will have no problem getting to the stadium.

you can email me on [email protected] if yot need any more info...

Log on the the web site...u`ll get more infos there...There are some members here who will help u for sure..But on thing is certain.Don`t except to get a ticket before the match...at least not a a normal price.

The thing is that most of the tickets are sold as Season Tickets...and your best bet is to find a season ticket holder and buy it from him.

Michael, not sure if you thought the "guest sector" was for people visiting from other towns/countries... but the Curva Nord, specially the upper side is reserved for the fans of the visiting team... while the Curva Sud is pretty much already fully occupied by Milan ultras (hardcore fans, most of whom have season tickets)... so your best option to be comfortable and watch the game is sitting on the sides... if you don't plan to visit San Siro often and can spend a few more Euros for the experience, just find seats at the "anello arancio" (orange area) on the other side of the team benches...

Hi there,

If you're keen on going to the milan-Juve game and you want a ticket at a reasonable price you should try www.mpestero.com They won't have tickets for sale until about 2 or 3 weeks beforethe game.

If you buy a ticket from a tout on the day of the game be careful. Tickets in italy now print the buyers name on it. To get into the ground you need the ticket and an id (in your case a passport). So obviously the name on the ticket will not match your name on your passport - and so they won't leave you in (well at least they're not suppose to)!

If you're interested in sitting behind the milan goal then there will be tickets available for that section (blue section) as season tickets are way down this year. I don't think the Fiorentina game will be sold out so you could buy your ticket on the day (bring your passport) - or try www.mpestero.com or www.acmilan.com The blue section tends to be a "first come first serve" area. That is the ticket will get you in however people tend to sit wherever they want - especially in the 2nd ring blue where the most hardcore ultras are.

Hi all,

I'm planning my first trip to the San Siro and I've got a few questions, would appreciate any feedback:

Does anyone know how far in advance the kick off times get changed?

Do you have to become a member to get tickets for bigger games or does every game go on general sale at some point?

And where are the best places to stay at equivalent of travelodge standard?

Cheers,

Happysteveo.

Hello, good game tonight! Where could I find lyrics and chants for a home game? We're going 8.12, it is a CL game against Ajax. I only have some old songs. Thank you for your help!
