View Full Version : Milan vs Juventus (pre-game comments)
Has date for this game been decided yet or will it be nearer the time? Is it announced on the AC website?
I am travelling from UK but need to know if game is the Sat or Sun for flights.
Cheers
:p017:
I wished it was scheduled around the time I will be visitting Italy which is highly unlikely :(

Hey, Acmilan_montreal I will be in Milan for the game also. It would be cool to get together with some others for the site, put faces with the names, grab some beer, and watch milan crush Juve..... When are you arriving in Milan? I will probably be there on May 5-6th, then head towards the beach, and then Paris....... What are your plans?
Will tickets be sold on acmilan.com for this one? Any idea when they will decide if it is the 8th or the 7th that the game is played....

Mey, when are you going over? maybe you can make it to the last game, and be in the Celebration of the 18th Cup.... That would be pretty big!
Game is scheduled for sunday but CL semi final will be played following tuesday/wednesday.So,if either Milan or Juventus make it to the semifinal game will be moved to saturday evening.
I have reserved ticket for first ring in Curva Sud.Fortunately for me,I have much shorter trip.I am taking ferry over Adriatic to Ancona and then train to Milano.I hope I'll see some of you there. We can have a couple of beers and a lough and then we can try to find some juventini :hammer:
No padee, I don't think tickets will be available on the website. I'm pretty sure tickets for juve and inter games aren't sold online.
I'm just keeping my fingers crossed the game will be shown on Eurosport!
Golden - how were you able to reserve a seat?
ahhhhh... i have to check when i finish my exams, if i do anytime before the game then i think im going there.. INSHALLAH!!!

noted. I'm currently looking at Airline prices...its kind of long trip from Montreal. That said, if I do make the trip I plan to attend even if I don't have tickets reserved. Worse case I'll get 'ripped off' by some scalper..bah its Milan-Juve! ;)

Billy, Yes, Its a long trip from Montreal, also for Portland, Oregon. I'm looking at about $7 - $900.00 for my flight..... Yeah Tickets are going to be tough, never had much success with buying on the website, failures and slow. Of the 4-5 games I've seen, I have bought 4 tickets via scalpers. Found that they hang out at the Milan Point store, two and three days ahead of the game. I carry a Pen and Note Pad to write pricing on, as to the fact that I speak very little Italian........ Been successful at getting tickets this way. The only ones that were really high were the Semi Finals against Inter in the CL two season ago, and the Real M/Juv game the next day...... I'll keep in contact with you over the next few weeks, and if you make we can grab a beer in Milan.

Franco, Keep us all posted if you are going to make it. There could be a mix of various Milan Mania members going. Myself out of USA, Billy form Canada, then of course yourself. I think that it could be fun for us to all meet, even if its only for a beer prior to kick off...... I may only be in Milan for Sat and Sunday, since I'm probably going to stop in Frankfurt and visit family during my trip....... See ya, Derek
If anyone can get a ticket let me know.

hi
i need to book flights for milan juventus game and obviously need to know when game will be played - so i looked back at 2002/03 seaosn when we won - and played inter in semis and juve played in other semi -which could happen this season . Serie A game s - final 4 fixtures must be played at same time and are always scheduled so that no one has unfair advantaage - with this in mind these ar ethe fixtures that miolan played that season
4th may league game - 7th may semi final v inter
11th may league game -
13th may- 2nd leg vs inter- so only two days later !!!!
so by my thinking the league ficture with juventus will not be moved from the 8th May as whole fixture list would have to be moved- plus if inter are in semis as well they will have to play home games diff week as well and so I think that the fixtures will remain the same
what do u all think

I arrive in Milan on April 28th  , and depart Monday May 9th :undecide: . I'm keeping my hopes up that we dominate in the CL so I may also see a semi finals match :pp20: ?? That would be cool. So if anyone finds themselves in Milan arround game time, lets meet. Derek
I think if we pass the second leg of the semi final will be away. Check it well before planning.

I have a friend who is working in travel agency and she has a lot to do with Italians since many of them are coming over here. One of her italian counterparts have rights to sell tickets for Milan matches and thats how I was able to buy it.All I need to do is pick up the ticket when I come to Milano.I've done it before and it works fine.
Hi all,
I've enjoyed reading your site over the last couple of weeks. I'm booked to travel over to Milan for the Juve game on 8th May and I've been reading your site in the hope of getting some pointers on where I should go for tickets.
It would seem I'm going to have to get tickets from an 'unofficial' source i.e. a tout. This being the case am I best heading up to Milan Point (is that near the stadium?) on the Friday and Saturday before the game or is Sunday the best time to try to talk to these touts?
Is selling / buying tickets like this strictly legal? Should I have one eye over my shoulder for the police. I only ask as here in Ireland the police don't look to kindly on touts.
Thanks for all your help.
Forza Milan!
Hi Fuggah,
Although buying tickets from touts isn't legal in Italy (as far as I know) the police around the San Siro really don't seem that bothered from what I've experienced. I went to collect some official tickets on the day of a match, and there were touts stood next to the kiosks selling tickets and no-one was bothered! Certainly from what I've experienced, you shouldn't get any trouble from the police.
There will be lots of touts all around the ground and also in the underground station at Lotto-Fiera 2. You might be better off going to the ground the day before, because by the time it gets to the match, they'll be charging more for tickets.
Hope this helps.

Hi Fuggah, On your question of where to get tickets, Stadium? Milan Point? I have some experience in buying from the touts at the Milan Point store. It happened more by accident than intent the first time. I wanted tickets to the CL in 2002, and went out to the Milan Point store to buy, but they were sold out. There were three maybe four differnt guys selling right in front of the store. As a result I have purchased tickets at Milan point, three, four times now, including Milan vs. Inter in the semi's F CL in 2003. I ussually buy the tickets, three maybe four days before the game, do your best to talk them down in price, They start high, but will negotiate.....Do it with a smile, and a hand shake or two, and yo'll do better. I have seen these same guys at the stadium the day of the game.
Milan point is out via Torino, 15 min walk for the Plaza Domo (Central square). The store is wother a vist, but expensive.
I too never felt any concern over the police......they seem to havve better things to do.....
Thanks for the advice guys. I'll see how I get on as I'm usually hopeless at haggling! What kind of price were you paying for the tickets? I'm hoping to get 2 for less than €200. Am I being far too optimistic?
I think you're on the right track, if you tend to buy them 5 hours before the game. If you are a member of Milan club you can get them at about 30euros each

For the semi's CL 2003, Milan-Inter, I paid 90,00 Euro's, Maybe 100,00, it's been quite some time. If your not good at haggling, I recommend the note pad and pen, and write the price you will pay........ You can always walk away, or they might??

As luck would have it I have to be close to Italy for a business trip in that week so I will be coming down to Milan for the game. I know a few people may make it such as Derek, Haroon, Franco, Giovanni, etc. I'm still not sure where or how to get a ticket but I don't mind spending a few extra dollars for a ticket once I am there.
My question is..are the Curva tickets numbered or are they a basic "sit where you will" system?
The date is approaching...make yourselves heard if you are coming!
In the curva its on first come first serve basis, in the curva only. About the tickets, there will be touts near the stadium surely. We at the Milan club will have tickets for good prices BUT..... many people from the club will go so I don't think there will be tickets available. The first priorities go for members.

Grazie Franco...
It should not be a problem as I spoke to someone from the Assoc. Ital. Milan clubs...since we are a foreign club and barely make it they said getting a ticket is no problem.
By the way, what AREA do I want to get tickets in? I don't want to end up sitting in the visitors curva :pom:
LOL.... if you go in the curva you can get any ticket as long as its not 3rd ring blu or 3rd ring green. The curva is 2nd ring blue, while the juve merda fans will be in the 1st ring green section.
If you'll have the 1st or 2nd ring red or orange, you may go in the curva without problems, but you have to be there early since its on first come first serve.

we play Lecce away on the 15th !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
because c.league semi ison 3/4 th May- the Milan -Juve game shouldnt move as no game will affect it - and they like to have last four fixtures at same time and date for whole serie A fixtures.

Billy, I'll be doing the same, buying and paying a little extra. I totally agree with the "came this far, whats a couple extra bucks" If I find a great deal the week before the game, should I grab you a ticket? (I hoping the earlier the cheaper?) I'm in Milan beggining on April 28th, will try to find tickets that day, then head south to the beaches, and also north to Germany to visit family for a couple days, then return to Milan for the game. I also fly out May 9th. This game could possibly be the make or break, if we go in only 3 points under, unless Juve fails to winner in the next two weeks.....
I think hotel prices will be of about 100euros per night!! Am I right?? DAM IT
Maldini: Nothing Is Compromised
4/20/2005 3:51:00 PM
The 3 point gap from Juventus does not worry the Milan captain.
With 7 matchdays to go and a 3 point deficit from the Bianconeri, many believe that the Scudetto is heading back towards Turin. However, Paolo Maldini does not agree and finds analogies in previous seasons to prove this.
“In the past we can find good examples. And if we won a Scudetto by recovering a 7 point difference in 7 matchdays, I don’t understand why we should think that for Milan everything is compromised. With 3 points to recover in 7 matches, including the direct encounter, feeling defeated is absurd.”
Maldini is referring to the 1998/99 season which the Rossoneri won after recovering 7 points in 7 matchdays from Lazio.

"Good News" from Channel 4:
Zlatan ban rules out Milan clash
Thursday 21 April, 2005
Francesco Totti has been given a five-match ban, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic's three-game stop rules him out of the Milan showdown.
Ibrahimovic was going to be suspended for this Sunday's trip to Lazio anyway after he was booked in the 1-0 defeat to Inter, but TV evidence was also used for his off the ball clash with Ivan Cordoba.
Not witnessed by the officials, it prompted another two-match ban that will rule the Juventus striker out of games against Bologna and Milan. It's almost certain Juve will appeal to get the suspension reduced.
That lash out on Cordoba wasn't the only incident involving Ibrahimovic during the game, as he also headbutted Sinisa Mihajlovic.
Roma captain Totti was sent off in yesterday's 2-0 home loss to Siena for striking Francesco Colonnese in an off the ball incident, but the referee's report also noted another kick at the same player earlier on.
The linesman spotted the punch and suggested the Italian international be shown his second red card of the season, making him Roma’s least disciplined player with 12 bookings completing his tally of shame.
“We will fine the maximum 30 per cent of Totti’s monthly wages,” announced Giallorossi Coach Bruno Conti. “We must also point out that he is subjected to constant provocation. He has to rise above it, but the referees should also look out for this treatment.”
The fine – which should amount to £82,000 – is a clear signal that the club is increasingly frustrated with Totti’s attitude and lack of leadership skills. He will only be able to play one more Serie A game this season - the closer against Chievo - missing out on Sampdoria, Brescia, Parma, Atalanta and the Rome derby.
“There are times in which a player has to put the club first,” continued Conti. “These incidents have to be eliminated from his game and everyone saw what happened so I am not here to defend him. Francesco also knows what he did and will have the opportunity to reflect on his behaviour.”
It is curious timing, as this afternoon Totti was also was fined £10,250 for statements made after their Week 27 2-1 defeat to Juventus, in which he accused the referee of rigging the match in favour of the Bianconeri.
If that sucker Ibra can't make it to San Siro, I will be so happy. Wonder what Dopers will do. :) Let's hope that they will lose all the 9 points so that our last three games will be easier. :v103: And maybe our dear cousin can surpass them. I hate Doper more than Perdenti. :D
btw, I edited this thread to become the pre-game thread. Hope noone minds :)

moggi moaning because for once he is not getting his own way:
Moggi: Abolish video evidence Friday 22 April, 2005
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Juventus director general Luciano Moggi has launched a tirade on the “biased” use of video evidence and demanded a change in the rules.
The Bianconeri chief was furious after Zlatan Ibrahimovic was handed a three-match ban for striking Ivan Cordoba in an off the ball incident during Wednesday’s 1-0 defeat to Inter.
“It is right to combat violence and video evidence is necessary, but the images used should not be provided by television companies,” said Moggi in an official statement.
“As far as we are concerned, the footage should come from the Federation and be handed over only when the Disciplinary Commission requests it. We cannot put the fate of the Scudetto in the hands of individual television directors.”
Ibrahimovic was caught on camera lashing out at Cordoba during the closing stages of the match and were glimpsed in a corner of the wide shot of the pitch by pay-per-view television company Sky.
“Cordoba stood on his foot and Ibrahimovic pushed him away,” insisted Moggi. “It was not a violent action and nobody in the stadium even realised it had happened.”
Francesco Totti was given a five-match ban for his clash with Francesco Colonnese in Siena’s 2-0 win at Roma that same evening, while earlier this month Giallorossi player Leandro Cufre was suspended for two matches for a similar incident to that of Ibrahimovic.
“Other more serious incidents around the country weren’t even considered by the Disciplinary Commission. This is why video evidence is necessary as long as it is the same for everyone. The only way to guarantee that is to have the footage pass through the Federation first.”
There is more to this than meets the eye, as Moggi also gave another interview in which he suggested that Milan director Adriano Galliani – who is also President of the Lega Calcio, which runs the Disciplinary Commission – had a part to play.
“It really took an eagle-eyed director to spot that incident and I’d like to thank this man for the good work he has done for the community at large,” said a deeply sarcastic Moggi.
“I must say I’m not remotely surprised that Ibrahimovic is suspended for the Milan game on May 8. It really is a quite remarkable coincidence, isn’t it?”

Ibrahamovic will not play, the 2nd appeal was turned down today.
I'm reluctant to be drawn on what this means for us, teams often pull out great results when the odds are against them. Hopefully his absence will be felt in the Bologna game when they struggle to find a way through a ten man wall. Against us it could make them play more defensive which wouldn't at all suit us.

Our squad might be rather limited but hopefully most of the players will recover for the Milan match ... As for Ibrahimovic not being there it might be hard but you are right Meazza, teams do pull out great results when the odds are against them. Think this would be more of a battle of mental strength than physical.
Well now that juve won against bologna we need to beat them on sunday. So...We are gonna be a little tired but we can surely give 90 min. of 100% football. Juve will miss Ibrahimović and hopefuly someone else... It will be tough becouse juve will defend, im sure of that. The only man that can create problems is camoranesi with his crosses, so we need to block him. If we play paciently and concentrate more than in psv game we can win it. If we do it, we have the title. Lecce and Palermo can't do anything against us, in the last round we would need a point, so this is the " last challenge ". Let's just hope no one gets injured in eindhoven so ****in moggi can cry about his team was " ripped off " again.. Forza Magico Milan!!!

Juve's squad is limited even at full strength. Want proof? You are out of the CL, thrown out by a team that lives on borrowed energy in the EPL and if it wasn't for a number, or should I say a GALLORE, of controversial referee decisions in the Serie A, Juve would be at least 5-10 points behind Milan.
If a team like Juve wins the Serie A, I am absolutely sure that a lot of football fans will lose confidence in what it means to win a title in Italian football.
i thought juve shouldve got some more yellow cards vs bologna and the linesman was absolutly crappy today, bologna had 2 breakaways on buffon that have been counted offside in the second half and both were on the same line as the last man

Boils down to this game. Let's stuff them.
Well you know what we'll do, we will go to Milan and play for a draw. I think the match is going to be a repeat of the one last December in which Milan had the better run of play and Juve will have very few chances to score. The longer we keep the ball out of our net the better chance we have of getting something from this match, probably at best taking a point back to Turin. But if both teams play like they have been playing recently Milan will win the match.

It just proves that milan is by far better team then juve.
And if juve wins the title this would be real shame. And i agree if refs didn't help juve so much ( chievo, bologna, roma, and so on... ) they would be at least 5 points behind. Never mind it, lets destroy the " old ***** " in the first half and then make it attack us in the second half.
If Milan was by far the better team than Juve why are we level on points?
What Milan has over Juventus is more dynamic players that can win matches with moments of individual brilliance like Kaka, Pirlo, Seedorf, and Sheva. Juventus does not have many dynamic players that can turn games, and we have to rely more on the team effort because our squad is not where near that of Milan's. But to say that Milan is by far the better team is a bit of a stretch IMO.

I guess the only posts you read are only your own - the answer to your question could be found in a couple of posts just before yours:
"if it wasn't for a number, or should I say a GALLORE, of controversial referee decisions in the Serie A, Juve would be at least 5-10 points behind Milan."
As Ancelotti said, "The only thing Milan and Juve have in common is the number of points." This came after yet another referee-gifted win for Juve - over Roma or Chievo, not sure.
Dare to venture a guess what he was referring to? Well, pretty much what was said above only he did it in an indirect way to keep some sort of decency, unlike Saint Moggi who makes the whole world laugh at him by his anti-Juve conspiracy theories. I guess there is no such thing as "low enough" for Moggi; can you imagine that - a conspiracy against the most referee favoured team in the whole of Italy with 25 out of 35 games ending in a very very "suspicious" way.

Yes, we have been favored more than Milan this season in terms of referee decisions. The matches against Chievo and Cagliari are points we should not have recieved, BUT you cannot use Roma as evidence because that was just a horrible officiated match that affected both sides. Yes we recieved a nonexistent penalty but later in the match Zlatan scored only for the goal to be disallowed wrongly. Moreover, at least one Roma player should have been sent off. So please do not use that match as an example.
But I am not disagreeing with you lot that Milan deserves to be in front of Juve because they have given better performances throughout the season. Juventus does not deserve to be level on points with Milan and if the season had ended today the latter should be the winner of the Scudetto. But what I don't like seeing is people saying Milan is BY FAR the better team than Juve when we have a much lesser squad than Milan and have average players like Blasi and Appiah playing a major part in our season, that's all. But yes Milan has given the better performances throughout the season.

however i am not thinking at ALL about this game. lets eliminate psv first and then we can start thinking about this huge games. THIS WEEK IS WHAT IT COMES ALL DOWN TOO. this is the biggest week in our season.
i respect what uve said pavel but u cannot use the fact that u have blasi and appiah in ur ranks as an excuse... ur team includes certain types of players and does ours... their quality is exposed throughout the season and it seems ours are better :D

How many Juventus players would crack the first team at Milan this season? I can only think of four: Cannavaro, Zambrotta, Emerson, and Ibrahimovic. The rest have played better and are Milan players. And just take a look at our bench where we have to field a player such as Olivera while you can field a genious named Rui Costa. Any neutral will say Milan have more quality players.

I think you are forgetting Buffon, Nedved, Trazeguet, Thuram, Camoranesi - these and the ones you mentioned are top quality players and many many top teams, including Milan, won't mind having them on their roster. The fact that they may not perform at their best is not Milan's fault. Speaking of that, several Milan players have also been going through not only good but also some pretty bad periods but this is why a team with the stature of Milan and Juve should have a "long bench" If Juve do not have one I don't see how this is Milan's fault or problem - Moggi should have spent his time on improving and strengthening the team instead of having dinners with Serie A referees and delegates. He should have realised by now that this may buy Juve a couple of extra Scudettos but when it comes to winning the CL he would need to put some honest work into it and do it all by himself, fair and square.
All in all, if you believe that Juve's squad is bellow par, and I do think that you have a number of excellent players, I don't see why this has anything to do with Milan and I don't see why it should be used as somekind of excuse - Juve have more than enough resources to build a squad and if they have failed to do so, then questions should be raised but only when you are in front of a mirror, if you know what I am trying to say; Milan has absolutely nothing to do with it and I don't see why we should feel guilty about having a better team than Juve's - it is not like god gave it to us, we built it by ourselves, well, after some very lucrative business with Inter, that is. :) :ilol: :guw:
I fail to see where I stated Juve's lack of depth is Milan's fault. That's one of the most outlandish things I've ever heard. :googly:
But my point is with the staff we have this year we have not been entirely bad, considering the calibre of players we must field week after week. Nedved and Trezeguet have been out injured for most of the season and we only have mediocre backups (Olivera and Zalayeta) to fill their shoes. This whole discussion is about how someone said Milan is a FAR better team than Juve, which IMO is not the case because we have done well as a team this season, making due with an average Juventus squad. But even if you do have an overall better squad than us, that doesn't mean we will not beat you. :D

Juve's partial advantage is that Milan keep playing so many games.
Milan-Juve will be the 7th game in 3 weeks for Milan.
However I'd rather not use that as an excuse. I'm extremely confident in Milan.

Milan on paper is better than Juventus and perhaps is slightly stronger, but it is my personal opinion that their performance in Serie A is as lacklustred as Juve's. But either way, its fine - maximum results with minimum effort
Juve have really strong squad, dont talk stupid tings and make alibies so you can loose on sunday. When juve was on top capello ond moggi were talking that they have better team, stronger, " just look at the standings... " - Capello. And now when it's tight it is silencio stampa( dont know how to spell it) and anti juve movement...bla,bla...
Well, juve gave their all this season and they will probable loose it. So dont look for reasons but come here to san siro and try to win it fair!! You are rich anough to buy players you need, moggi knows it and has done it this season ( capello, zebina, cannavaro, emerson, zlatan, kapo). Why can't juve win champions legue?? Becouse there is no paparesta or some other " strange decisions " in there. I've seen more than 15 juve matches this season, at least 8-9 of them were suspicious. Anyway, let go milan, destroy them and make arogant zebras cry in the sunny sunday afternoon....
IMO Juve`s squad is equal to Milan`s(just a little bit weaker)! Bur Milan is in best form, and Juve-no! And IMO when people say that Milan win games by luck it`s not true! It`s a special tactitian and luck always smiles to strongest! My view that we will win this game 1-0! And I respect Juve an his players but Milan is stronger and can win even after PSV-Milan hard match! :gun:
So Forza Milan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :1ole:

There are no suspended Milan players and as far as I know, at least as of this moment, we don't have any injury worries too. For Juve, Zlatan is out of it for sure, thanks to his heroic deeds from a fortnight ago, Zebina is also still recovering from that injury and I doubt he would feature in that game. Apart from that everyone else would be available even Emerson, who didn't take part in the game vs Bologna, how fit he would be, that's a different story. Trazeguet will also be available for selection.
So, pretty much a full roaster is available to both coaches except that poor Juve fell victims YET AGAIN to the conspiracies aganst them and unfairly lost Zlatan.
When will those bastards from the FIGC and the Italian Referee Committee finally stop victimizing such an honorable team as Juve? Damn maggots !!! :guw:

Well Nedved instead of a sometimes wonderful, sometimes awful Seedorf would make Milan unstoppable. Zambrotta would definately be ahead of kaladze and Pancaro. sheva would score a million goals with ibrahmiavich's flicks and skills.
Your team is level on points with Milan. Where you lack in flare and quality you make up for in athletism and strength. We can sometimes suffer from having such a forward thinking midfield where as you have a solid system. You are just unlucky Nedved got injured for so long. If he was fully fit against Liverpool you would be playing Chelsea. One thing though, you are way too reliant on him.

stop seeing seedorf as a-sometimes-awful player. tactically, he is a very important player. granted, he loses many good oportunities in front of goal, but stay noticing his game every now and then and you will realise his importance. he dribbles, he defends, he keeps possession when needed, he plays with his chin up, he almost never loses possession and he suffers a lot of fouls, especially when milan are winning (very often, hohoho) and our team is under pressure. those precious fouls which break the rhythm of the game.

i was listening to some arm-chair critics during the Sunday Italia Uno programme named Controcampo, and an important element which was being discussed was that Juve feel they are being robbed and should have some more points than they actually do. they think the 'system' is favouring milan. in fact, as of yesterday morning, following a press release on their website, juve have decided to go on a silent media strike. no interviews. they are implying a plot against them. Godfather style.
on one side, this indirectly implies they are afraid of milan. i think they should be. 4 out of their 5 losses this season have come against very good teams (sampdoria, palermo, inter, liverpool), while milan's losses have all been against lowly teams, thus implying lack of concentration when facing inferior opponents (read siena, messina, bologna, livorno, excl. barca). as a result, they have a ready excuse when they lose against us on sunday. they will accuse us of stealing the league.
on the other hand, it might be a tactic to raise the concentration level of the team, which has been depicted in this press release as in 'dire emergency'. i think this claim is a bit exaggerated.
i wish milan annihilate juve by playing nice football for this reason. i hate whinnies and all those who like to play the role of the victims. and they have a very short memory. don't they remember when it was others who were victims, while they were the culprits (cannavaro goal in juve-inter 3 years ago, iuliano foul in juve-inter circa 8 years ago)?
On last nights Italian Soccer FanAtics Show here in Canada...They were commenting on the Juve media strike as well, saying that what they will end up doing is hopefully realize that they are not unnecessarily critisized or penalized. That their suspensions are comparable to those of other teams for similar situations. Let's face it...is Juve ever gonna realize anything that is NOT in their favour. Oh and btw......they were favouring Milan to win next Sunday !!!!!!
Even if we win they will complain about zlatan being suspended.
I agree and have always said Seedorf is important for our system. On the whole he is a great player and usually plays well when we need a performance from him. However, no one can deny he goes through more bad phases then our other players. Sometimes, like against Fiorentina, he gives the ball to the opposition more than his own players. I still wouldnt replace him with very many players though, because as you said hes vital for the ststem we employ.

You don'thave to go years back in time to find examples of controversial referee decisions handing Juve not just games but titles, as well. In fact, it is hard to remember a game from this current season where Juve didn't get at least one very important present from an Italian official. Also just check the statistics on www.gazzetta.it and tell me how many penalty kicks have Juve been awarded for them and how many against them - for the former I have lost count a long time ago, as for the latter the answer is one big fat 0. How about red cards, disallowed regular goals for Juve's opponents and so on and on ... Compare t to the same info regarding Milan and you will get the picture.
To tell you the truth, fair victories for Juve are such a rare thing that whenever it happens I throwing a party. All these anti-Juve conspiracy allegations can only make Serie A fans laugh at how pathetic Juve can get.

Two weekends ago against Lecce there was a penalty awarded against us. And have you ever thought that we have two of the best tacklers in the game in central defense? Surely that is a big difference.

also roma-juve(1-2) was effected by reffs.
both juves goals shouldnt have counted:- a penalty given - the foul was outside penalty area though. and the other on double offside.
by the way- isnt the PsV game before the juve game? why a thread on this game before the PsV match?

In the first half one Roma player should have been sent off and Roma was wrongly awarded a free kick that stopped our attack and led to the Cassano goal. We also had a goal disallowed in the second half that should have stood. Both teams were affected that night and we deserved the win in the end.

Wow, one whole penalty given vs Juve in a game they were winning anyway. And this is in one out of 34 games? Well, I guess this does prove my point wrong.
Oh, and don't forget that our defence is actually stronger than Juve's and last time I chekced Milan has received almost as many PKs as have been given against - "slightly" less popular with referees than Juve is, I guess.
Plus a penalty is not a penalty unless the referee says it is no matter how untimely the tackle is. Referee bias and not strong defence is what you should attribute the lack penalties being given vs Juve to.
And in many of those games you pointed out as pure Juve victories, there was controversy although a result of 3-0 may say otherwise. I clearly remember the Samp-Juve game in Genua had some very interesting moments to offer. There are others like it too but there have been so many of them over the season that I don't even bother paying attention anymore and tend to just take it as a given.
Oh, and don't forget that our defence is actually stronger than Juve's and last time I chekced Milan has received almost as many PKs as have been given against - "slightly" less popular with referees than Juve is, I guess.
Have you watched us play this season? We play a straight 4-4-2 to close down the middle of the pitch, with Emerson and Blasi doing the work to stop the opposition before it reaches our defense. We basically create a shield in front of the defense, so it is very difficult for attackers to rush through in on goal, the main scenario where penalties come from. Milan plays with more posession and does not always shutdown the center of the pitch completely, and they also are subject to many counterattacks because of the copius amounts of posession they usually have. Milan does have the stonger defense in terms of individual talent, while Juve stacks more players in front of the defense to protect it. So with players not being able to run at our defenders that much it would certainly cut back on penalties awarded.
And that was not a penalty last week against Lazio. Any unbiased neutral will tell you that.
I miss the days when Milan used to press the opposition ... there always seems to be too much room for opponents at the moment.
That's one thing we can't allow Juventus, especially Nedved and Camro on the flanks. We need to also hope our players find some rest from somewhere, otherwise they'll just be exhausted.
i agree jamie, the best milan where in the period when we beat inter 3-2, then juve 3-1, then parma 3-1 and sparta 4-1 and depor 4-1 ... it stopped when we were knocked out of the CL in that terrible evening..
As i've said before, juve is giving their all this season.
Last season when they werent in the title race, refs didn't do anything for juve. Becouse there was no need to, this year they stole at least 6-7 games. That is why de desperately need to beat them on sunday and show how pathetic they are. And don't let juve fans bother you, let it go. St. Moggi will do everything next year to beat us and they will be showing off how juve is the biggest and so and so.... Anyway, lets kick some ass on sunday with sheva scoring again... Forza Milan !!!

Time to HUNT SOME JUVENTINI :gun:
While in Milan I will also be meeting up with the infamous Giovanni of MM :w221: and maybe Franco :dcool:
I still don't have the ground tiicket confirmed, and to be honest I'm a bit worried, for other things as hotel and airplane ok.
If (hope so) I'll go, I should meet Giova saturday night.
Milan must win this game because We have a much harder calendar than Juve!
If Milan outplay Juve than Lo Scudetto will be Ours!
We will win all games (with Juve, Lecce, Palermo) and draw with Udinese!
Milan 2004/2005 Champion!!!
How can we fail when we have our very own MM Holy Trinity of Juventini hunters going to the match ? :D
I agree with you Haroon, but sometimes talking about something else than the obvious (CL v PSV) can help take your mind of things.

yea i have to agree with u that juve is plain pathetic. Actually, besides Lazio, juve represents the worst in italian football. Look at their players who go down with every tackle, complaining to the referee hoping to get a free kick. Bianconeri games on tv are extremely boring, i hear the referee's whistles more than anything else..
and look at that lame performance against liverpool. The juve players played as if they were 6-0 up, trying to be cool and score a last min goal? U can do it if u are milan, real, barca etc..but with the 'strikers' juve has got..its a distant bet. That performance against liverpool was mediocre, and distasteful for italy.
JUVENTUS....IF U DONT WANNA PLAY PASSIONATE FOOTBALL IN EUROPE, U DONT DESERVE TO WIN THE SCUDETTO, please leave it to milan, cos the rossoneri deserves it after all their hard work. Imagine if juve wins the scudetto, what will the world think of serie A? That this is the champion that italy can produce? A champion that lost to a 5th placed premiership team?..
for goodness sake, juve should go to serie B for a few seasons where they will learn to play decent football..

Oh gimme a ****ing break, as if Milan didnt have decisions go THEIR way. As much as you would like to believe, this season Juventus didnt get as much 'help' from the referees as they 'usually' do. Im not saying Juventus is better than Milan or anything, but you people undermine Juventus too much despite the situation. SURELY there must be a reason why Juventus have never gone down to second in serie a in matter of points other than "them being favoured by referees"... You whine nearly as bad as Cassano.
savicevic

your reply kind of implies juve expect ref favours. wake up and realise juventus is a normal team like milan and inter and requires normal treatment, not special treatment.
the fact that juve have come out complaining only this year because of referees shows that overl the last few years juve have got used to being favoured and have come to expect it. you have been 'spoilt', kind of, just like a little sod.
may i remind you that in the capello era, milan had to wait 3 years for a penalty to be awarded in favour. we still managed to win 3 consecutive leagues.
so consider referee decisions as random errors which contribute to the beauty of football. do not necessarily expect wrong and favourable errors to cancel out throughout a season, coz they wouldn't be random after all if referees had a zero balancing mentality when refereeing games. i would stop watching football if i knew a ref would not give team X a clear penalty just because the previous week this same team had been awarded a non-existent penalty. who does he think he is? God?

Of course there is a reason for that - Juve are a very strong team, nobody is questioning that. But when you have two very strong and ballanced teams in a direct battle for the title, one of them being favoured by "random" referee mistakes could very well prove a decisive factor in detrmining the winner, and we all seem to agree which team inbetween Milan and Juve have had "randomness" favour them more than any other team in the Serie A.
I agree that referee mistakes can't make a Scudetto contender out of Lecce, per say, but they can very well prove the major factor in giving Juve the title for Juve are already a strong team.
Milan Must win Juve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It`s will be a real shame for Rossoneri if they won`t be champions! Then Serie A will be uninteresting for me forever!

oh come on, if anything its this year that juve has been favoured alot... the away match to bologna was the best example... the calls were really pathetic, this season we havent had 1/4 of the calls in our way... infact i cant remember a moment where we did have calls come our way, but in terms of luck yeah i admit we have that but theres nothing wrong with that... yeah we scored in the 90th minute in run of games :u56: but that doesnt make us cheats... what juve do is disgusting, simply sick... if u pay the amount of money u give refs on new players to compete with ours maybe ud have a better and fair chance of winning it.

I have some doubts about our form, Juve are consentrating on this match from Monaday while we from today and after a semi final. Physically its useless to hide we're not we used to be. I just hope that we relaxed vs PSV and Fiorentina cuz I'm waiting for a good reply from our guys.
As a result I don't want a draw. Better a win or a loss so that we can concentate on the CL final.
Iv checked Liverpools fixtures and their last game in the premiership is a whole ten days before the CL final. As usual the lack of organisation in Seria A leaves Milan with 3 games in that week. What a total joke. While Liverpool will be fresh and probably preparing in Istanbul, we will be playing Palermo!!
We need to beat Juve and risk losing the points against Palermo by resting the whole team. That would of course leave it to the final day with a tough game against Udinese. Hopefully as European Champions we can beat them.
I would prefer a playoff with Juve than not completely resting our players and risk losing against Liverpool. But for all that to happen we need to beat Juve!! It would be an extra bonus if they dropped any other points
Maldini: I’ll be fit for Juve Thursday 5 May, 2005
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Milan captain Paolo Maldini is confident he will be fit enough to face Juventus on Sunday afternoon.
Doubts over his physical condition emerged last night after he was accidentally kicked in the head during the 3-1 loss at PSV Eindhoven.
He was substituted in the game at half-time but he’s today eased fears that he may miss the Scudetto showdown at he weekend.
"I’m feeling good," he said on Thursday. "I’m only feeling a little discomfort and therefore I think I’ll play against Juve."
A number of journalists joked with the legend, asking whether the knock to his head had affected his memory.
"How many Champions’ League Finals will I now play in? Seven," he replied after Wednesday’s away goals victory at Eindhoven.
Meanwhile, Vice-president Adriano Galliani insists his club are the best team on the continent despite only just getting through to face Liverpool.
"We’re the best in Europe," he said, quickly archiving the PSV fright. "We are champions of Italy and fighting to regain that title.
"Milan are also in their second Champions’ League Final in three years, the tenth in our history, the seventh of the Berlusconi era."
Galliani is also looking forward to the Juventus game with optimism. "I’m not worried about the fitness of our players," he concluded.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
At least he wont be tired.

Actually Liverpool's EPL campaign is pretty much over even as we speak - they hardly have a chance to get to that 4th place.
But still, in other championships games would be rescheduled if it turns out that one of the teams has a CL final to play only several days after a domestic league game. Anywhere else but Italy.
Of course players are tired, but I hope they will improve and everything will OK!!! I read in Goal.com that Maldini Will play! Thanx God!!!!!! Milan will show his pride!!!!!

Actually Liverpool's EPL campaign is pretty much over even as we speak - they hardly have a chance to get to that 4th place.
its a slim chance but they have to keep going for it as winning the CL wouldnt guarentee them a place next season, the Premier League are likely to back Evertons claim.
It's apsolutely sure that juve will not loose any points from the last 3 games after milan. Be sure of it. So we really need to beat them. Milan is very tired, it was clear in Eindhoven but we need to relax and prepare some good tactics for sunday. Ancelotti really disgraced italian football with his defencive lineup, we dident even play for counter attack!!! That was **** !! If we are to beat juve we'll need a great seedorf and another deadly striker ( not just sheva ).
Juve are fit and well prepared, capello is a master for these kind of games, they will sit back most of the time but could also start with strong pressing in the modfield due to tiredess of milans midfield. So we need a good possesion and specially brilliant seedort and pirlo with kaka opening himself on the flanks ( attacking pessoto). If we score a first half goal we'll win it. if we draw the game we are faaaar away from scudetto. Lets hope for the best....
look i love capello alot, he my favorite all time coach, but tell me, if he was a master of these types of games then where was he when we beat the crap outta roma in the olimpico last season? ... the boys know that they should give it 1 more push and after the juve game theyde feel alot better physically because they would now have 1 week between each game and not 2-3 days like the past 2 months!

I am positive that this time around it will be Milan who will deploy the "keep it tight and wait for the killer blow" tactics Juve and Inter are so famous for. I doubt we have the energy and freshness necessary for our usual game of total dominance on the field, not after a difficult game on Wednesday.

I will restrict my comments to the pending match, and avoid the quagmire of conspiracy theories being espoused here.
Juve will undoubtedly have the better physical conditioning, though I think Milan will recover in time to give them their money´s worth, and I dont think to see a replay of the last two Milan games (ie vs Viola and PSV) in this potential title decider.
Milan will be totally focused on this game, and I look for Carlo to revert to his regular diamond in the middle, and probably drop Seedorf for this match, though I really wouldnt be surprised to see him in the starting line up.
Maybe he is tired, or just had an off day in Eindhoven, but he could prove instrumental vs Juve...the major difference between Juve and PSV is pace, or in Juve´s case, the lack thereof...man for man in the middle, Juve have no real speed merchants of the likes of Farfan and Park, so Seedorf may have a little more time to do what he does on the ball....I refuse to believe that Carlo wont consider him to start, as poorly as he may have performed in Holland.
What I do hope for is a start for Rui Costa, hopefully for Clarence, who as I intimated before, seems a little spent...and understandably so...he has played in almost every match for us this season, and at his age, could be simply fatigued.
Sheva and JDT will probably start, though I think Carlo may opt for Crespo....but its late in the day in Jamaica, and my mind reading powers are fading..or Carlo is wearing that stupid lead lined hat again...:D
Gattuso, Pirlo are definate starters, and the back line will be a repeat of yesterdays semi final four.
Milan will win this match, and Juve will rue the day they allowed us back into the race.
:firedev:FORZA MIIIIIIIIIIIILAN!!!:firedev:
I'm worried for this game, because our players are very tired especially our midfield players Pirlo, Gattuso, Seedorf...
I don't know what will Carlo do, maybe he will change some players to rest them. I hope that everything will be good, and that we will win, but it will be very hard.
FORZA MILAN!!!!
I believe we win this game. Milan is far more balanced team that Juve, and for those of you worried after PSV; do not be afraid. juve will suffer our wrath. this our chance to breakaway.
Forza Milan
what's the betting this game is a draw and nothing is decided? :D
that's the feeling I'm getting.
Capello lost last year with roma coz milan was playing better than this season, anyway I would give everithing for milan to win on sunday but im afraid it will be really tough. We NEED pirlo back!! He is not himself , hope he'll be back as real pirlo. Seedorf will be ok,he'll play well, so will maldini. We can do it, just with a lot of effort and a little bit of luck ( if there is some left...hehe ). Forza MILAN!!!

My thoughts on the game: I think we all realize that we can't play like we did against PSV in this match. This is the most important match of the season so far, and we need a good performance by our lads, because we have to get three points to gain the necessary advantage on Juve.
I think they key to winning this match is pace. I want us to put pressure on Juve's midfield to win the ball when they are in possession, and then hit them fast on the break with accurate through balls to Kaka and Sheva. For this to work, it is especially important that Pirlo and Gattuso are at their best, and that Seedorf doesn't have "one of those days." I would also love to see Tomasson partner Sheva up front, as he seems to be enjoying a good spell of form.
My preferred lineup: Dida; Kaladze, Maldini, Nesta, Stam; Pirlo; Seedorf, Gattuso; Kaka; Shevchenko, Tomasson.
ROSSONERI SIAMO NOI!!! :3band:

guys, a draw wouldn't be a bad result because in the last 6 leagues we've won, in all 6 occasions (except 1995/96 when simone and weak scored in a 2-1 win), milan-juventus finished in a draw. so, statistically, a draw isn't bad after all.
what i feel confident to say is that milan have never disappointed us in a big game against strong and big opposition* in the ancelotti era. WE WILL NOT LOSE!!
* by big opposition i refer to the likes of inter, juve, lazio, roma and the big guns of europe.

btw, everyone is forgetting pippo inzaghi these days. i say he's dead hungry to play the odd few minutes and leave his mark. i think he will be decisive.
everyone is saying how lucky we are ... and inzaghi has scored some very lucky goals (i remember one vs milan after a taibi blunder, one with juve vs rosenborg after a davids shot hit him, one vs milan in the berlusconi cup when a shot by taibi hit him in the face and went it). so pippo, bring us some more luck. coz luck favours the brave.

Yes I agree with you! Ibra will not play it`s a good chance to beat Juve(Bcoz Trezegeut could not play too or if plays don`t well) :r14:
savisevic i must say that i dont agree with you.
i think that the only good result for us is to win them.
if we go at the play offs our players will be very tired
dont forget this is the 10th game in a month already.
we're playing home and this is our great chance to get the double!
I also dont think that draw would be enough, juve will win it all untill the end, and we have lecce, palermo and udinese.
If we win it, than we need only a point from udinese match and can relax some players in the palermo game in front of the istanbul final. So, we need to win it. We need seedorf and pirlo in top form but we can also let juve play for a while and try some long balls from pirlo if the passing and holding position doesnt work at the beggining. Tomasson could start aldough crespo hasnt scored for a while and its about time to do so...there will be some cross balls so crespo could be usefull.
Boy do i hate this team. I hate Juventus from all my guts. I hope we crush them in the Sansinro on sunday.
Forza milan and I hope the celebrations begin on sunday 5pm gmt.

Most of us feel that the match against Juve is not decisive. If u ask me,this by far the most important game of the season. Our last game of the season is against our bogey team Udinese and they are chasing for a European spot.I hope that Milan will play their hearts out today.Rui Costa and Crespo must play against Juve. They have a thing for big games
I hope to celebrate Milan`s victory over f.....n Juve! In 9th May is a great day victory against German`s in II World War! Forza Milan!!!!!!!

ancelotti surely did not forget him. he has been heard saying today:
"Inzaghi? Rientrerà prima di quello che si possa pensare perchè ieri per la prima volta ho rivisto il vero Inzaghi. Magari potrebbe essere una sorpresa dell'ultima ora. Partite come questa Inzaghi le fiuta in maniera particolare. Oggi Crespo, Tomasson e Inzaghi sono sullo stesso piano."
So do not be surprised if we see him in the first eleven tomorrow, or is given 45 mins of play. esp. since it is almost official that mourinho wants to keep crespo, so hernan will be at a morale low.
guys ..
what time is the match again .. GMT time please ... if its in the afternoon i will have to schedual my meetings all the morning ..

PREVIEW
======
When the Serie A calendar was drawn up, many thought that it would come down to this game that would decide the destination of the Scudetto for 2004-5. Amazingly so it has happened. THE GAME is poised to be a potential Scudetto decider with Milan and Juve locked on points. And to think that not too long ago Juve had an 8 point lead in the race when the doubters thought that the Scudetto was gone once again to the Old Lady. But Milan being the fly in the ointment just didn't give up and amazingly clawed its way back into the race thanks to some heroics from Dribble Boy & Co.
Juve have had a refresher while Milan played under extreme pressure and tense conditions on INTERNATIONAL turf to get a desired result in the dying minutes from an Ambrosini headed goal to make a historic 10th ECC/UCL final appearance and become the first side to appear in 5 UCL finals!
Now Juve have imposed a strict press silence so much so that the toilet windows have been sealed during their training sessions. They don't want to speak to the press and answer the usual questions.
The Devil welcomes the Old Lady to the Devil's Den to serve the last rights and lay her to rest once and for all. Obviously she will be nailed first. The Sceptor to be nailed right through the heart and not that other nailing some of you freaks were thinking about. The funeral takes place at 15:00 UK time and as in some customs there will be a celebration after it to celebrate a tough competitor who eventually could not withstand the fire and choked due to the smoke.
M I L A N
"Lucky Milan" is the new name given by all the jealous followers of football who would love to be in a position where Milan is right now. The basic principle that this Milan is revolving around is to continue fighting till the last breath. The team just doesn't give up. When you strive for that effort then the SupeRNaturaL helps you along the way. Rule of nature. Everything balances it out so if the input towards the cause is there then the output will come from the SupeRNaturaL. This Milan side has won down to 10 men and down a goal vs. Lazio. This Milan side has won against Roma in a very difficult build-up to a very difficult game. This Milan side has defeated the city rivals and maintained the balance of power in the grand city of Milano. The side is special with fighters on the pitch. It doesn't give up. :fero:
There is always a hidden gear and Milan can just raise to a level to get the result. It may not be fancy at times. There can be struggles but who said the ride would be smooth as the Monza circuit? Ancelotti's Milan does the necessary bit and doesn't overdo it. Minimum Input - Maximum Output. The key area is that that Minimum Input is just enough to get the maximum out of the game / tie. It was going to be necessary to adopt such an approach for a side that had won the UCL and Scudetto in successive seasons and was now aiming for a double! When the bar is raised and the aim becomes difficult it won't always be a smooth run to the end.
J U V E N T U S
Juve started off brilliantly under Capello and steamed through phase 1 of the Scudetto chase with not many problems. They looked ominous and uncatchable so much so that they haven't relinquished their grip on first spot but it is slipping now. It's a cliffhanger and I see the Old Lady slipping as was the Lady in the first scene of that movie. :D It's a matter of time before Juve slips and falls hard. :skull:
It is mind-boggling and perplexing to see Juve still at number 1 position after so many matchdays have come and gone. It is like that Winnie The Pooh Dilemma.
Winnie The Pooh Dilemma
I for one never understood what was going through the heads of Disney animators when they created Winnie the Pooh. Why the fvck would you make the bear wear a red sweater and during Winter editions / Christmas Editions make him wear hats and scarfs as well but never put pants / trousers / underwear on the fvcker? :wth: Winnie The Pooh is the Ron Jeremy of cartoons! Never keeps his pants on!
Coming back to Juve it is the same thing. How can a team that plays such awful football this season be at number 1 with 4 matchdays to go??? How how how? :fero: It just doesn't make sense! They do deserve credit for being at the top as does Winnie The Pooh for still maintaining his standing in the cartoon community even though he has flaws or no pants.
Probable Starting Line-Up(s)
=====================
---------------
---> Milan <---
---------------
4-3-1-2 formation
--------------------Dida---------------------
--Cafu-------Stam--------Nesta------Maldini-
--------------------Pirlo----------------------
-------Gattuso-----------------Seedorf--------
--------------------Kaka-----------------------
-----------Sheva---------Crespo-------------
1. Ancelotti will ditch the X-Mas tree for obvious reasons. We lost a game with the X-Mas tree for the first time since that loss to Juve two seasons ago in the Delle Alpi. It failed on Wednesday because he didn't put the right men in the starting line-up. It was not in sync with the strategy he deployed.
2. Good news is that Maldini returns and he has shrugged off the effects of a lethal drop-kick of Vennegoor of Hesselink! What an intervention but what a bad kick to suffer! That happens in movies!
3. Ancelotti has rested Crespo now for some time and it may well be that he was planning him to start for this game purposely so he rotated him in that manner. Even though JDT has come on and made a difference I think that Crespo should start in this game as his aerial + physical presence is something that is required to penetrate Juve's strongest department.
4. Let's make it a funeral to remember. They are hurting. They are injured and they come for a peaceful death. Let's give them that. It should be a slow one though. 95 mins is about right.
-------------------
---> Juventus <---
-------------------
4-4-1-1 formation
-----------------------Buffon ---------------------------
--Pessotto------Thuram------Cannavaro------Zambrotta--
--Camoranesi----Emerson----Tacchinardi-------Nedved---
---------------------------Del Piero------------------
-------------------Trezeguet---------------------------
1. First position to look at will be the right back position. Pessotto has the experience and the head for such a game while Zebina is not the best of performers and in addition to that has not had a good time playing against Milan. It's the 'Black Beast' effect.
2. Central midfield is another question mark. Does the Don go for the ultra-talented Blasi, missed passes Appiah or the old pro Tacchinardi who has been in such a situation before? I picked Tacchi as he seems to be the one that would be the better man for the position.
3. It is a pity that Dribble Boy won't be on the pitch because it would've been a delight to see him make a mockery of himself in the San Siro in front of the Curva Sud. :( I am sad with all my heart that he will not be on the pitch. His impact would've been visible to the whole world.
4. The potent finisher Trezeguet returns and that is not good news. Whatever he is, the one thing that goes with him is that he can finish and finish quite sweetly. Dangerous in the air and dangerous with the left and decent with the right. He and Nedved look like the most likely goalscorers if indeed Juve do score. If these two players are handled properly then I don't see Juve scoring from open play. Cannavaro on set pieces is the obvious danger man. Emerson will put in a shabby performance as usual as he saves his worst for Milan. It's the 'Black Beast' effect.
Tactics
======
---------------------------
--- Ancelotti [M I L A N] ---
---------------------------
Ancelotti knows that our schedule is the tougher one on paper and this is our direct chance to take a decisive lead in the Scudetto race. He has mentioned that the players are not that tired and can get through this. I get the feeling that even he knows that this game and UCL Final are the two important games where he will require the services of his full strength 11. For other games he will rotate surely so he will try to give it his all in this encounter.
A) Playing at home and playing a weakened Juve to decide a Scudetto is reason enough to do them good.
B) Juve's midfield is not that creative but their team overall is effective in getting an odd goal. Nedved, Camoranesi and Trezeguet would be the players that stand out offensively. All the others can range from Good -> What the fvck was that?
C) Try to get the control in midfield. It is something that has been lacking in Milan's play over the 90mins. We have phases where we control the midfield but it hasn't been at the level of the Utd. games where we dictated the play and tempo of the match.
D) Better finishing this time than the last time when we visited the Bianconeri. More chances, more shots on goal and more goals would be good enough. Just run 'em ragged.
-------------------------------
--- Capello [J U V E N T U S] ---
-------------------------------
Juve lost out in Europe once again as they played one of the most gutless games of the season against a very determined Liverpool side who really wanted to get the result they came for. Juve was $hit scared and made a hash of it making Liverpool's job more easier. Nothing to take away from Pool. They were ready for anything to be thrown at them ... even the kitchen sink! Juve had nothing to throw or didn't want to throw. It was a different Juve from the one that faced Real in Torino.
A) This is Juve's realistic chance to win something big in the season. It is a trophy that they are way too familiar with winning it a record number of times. Juve is the toughest side to beat in the Serie A and the easiest side to beat in a European final. Story of their life. This is a Serie A game. They can't be underestimated no matter how good the odds look. Capello will know that too and will make the final war-cry for his jailbirds.
B) It would be a mistake to come searching for the draw as Juve will end up with nothing. They have to come for the win. As daunting a task as that may seem to be, it is not impossible. Dribble Boy not playing is a blessing in disguise and Juve is not that weak as is made out to be. They lack creativity but their mechanical game is still spot on.
C) Juve will play on the break and use the wings. Capello will know that he can exploit Milan from the wings and try to do that. The thing is that the game in Eindhoven was very different but that is Juve's best bet. To use Zambro and Camo on the flanks to create something and Nedved in the middle to do some damage from either passes or strikes himself.
KEY BATTLES
==========
Shevchenko Vs. Thuram
Crespo Vs. Cannavaro
Kaka Vs. Emerson
Seedorf Vs. Camoranesi
Pirlo Vs. Nedved
Gattuso Vs. Zambrotta
Nesta Vs. Del Piero :D
Stam Vs. Trezeguet
The important one is the Pirlo Vs. Nedved battle. It will define THE FUNERAL.
KEY MEN
=======
Seedorf
--------
He has taken a lot of criticism after his game in Eindhoven. Nonetheless Clarence is a very valuable asset for us and in games like these he shows us why he is so important for us. Seedorf had a bad game but he was not playing in his position and his role was different. He'll bounce back. He is one of the reasons this Milan side is special. He is a big match player ready for the big occasions. The opponent is big as well with a set of sweater puppets sagging below the belly button as she is an Old Lady now.
Trezeguet
----------
Juve needs goals to survive in this game. Their potent scorer is the best bet to deliver that classic sucker punch to Milan. He can't create a goal but he can score an unbelievable goal. A dangerous striker who has to be kept in check. He has not hit form as he has had an injury ridden season. He will surely want to put his signature on this game of all games for the Scudetto showdown and make his scarce contribution one of the most important ones this season.
Prediction
I don't have much to say in this. There is one thing to say though. Genio did post that Milan has not a Scudetto in beating Juve in that post from the Milan official site. We have beaten quite a few records under Ancelotti. Last season was record breaking season and this season records have fallen as well. History would be against us if we were to defeat Juve but this Milan side does have a knack of defying history and raising the bar. The records speak for themselves.
Juve is the fresher side. Juve is the side with the lesser pressure to win this game or the title as Milan is gunning for the double.
Saying that, Juve is meeting the wrong team in the wrong place at the wrong time. Juve is on the Highway to Hell and it ain't pretty. The Beginning of the End.
:star: Forza Milan :star:
I think that juve is hard team but I have strong trust on Milan that
they win by good perform and result so I think we will win 2-1
or draw 1-0

guys I'm being totally honest, I had a dream last night in which Milan won 6-0!!!!
ok it was a bit strange, colocinni scored first and he looked like roger federer, then Zola scored with a cheeky header (?) then Nesta scored (someone who actually plays with us) but he was 8 foot tall and wore the number 10. For some reason I never saw the rest but afterwards I went to a bar called MilanMania haha (i was accosted by skin heads going there) and shouted "WAHEY" when I walked in, my friends where there who never cared about milan but a sexy italian girl kissed me on the cheek.
all in all a very good night.
I hope the bits that can come true do!

apart from that i think milan will win by one goal, either 2-1, or 1-0

MILAN: Dida; Cafu, Nesta, Stam, Maldini; Gattuso, Pirlo, Ambrosini; Kakà; Shevchenko, Tomasson.
JUVENTUS: Buffon; Pessotto, Thuram, Cannavaro, Zambrotta; Camoranesi, Emerson, Appiah, Nedved; Del Piero, Trezeguet.
Is it a good decision having such a defensive midfield againts a rather weak Juventus midfield?
Where the f*ck is Rui Costa? He should be in there instead of Ambro/Gattuso.
if anyone serginho should play... though i think seedorf should start!

all we have to do is pressure them- win the midfield battle.
if we are able to do that we will most likely create many chances, and with a guy like sheva in front we will score. in defensive terms gattuso should run after those balls......and our defense should stay aware during the game....
but the key is the midfield, with that solved- so will the rest
Lets hope the team can do better today!!
