A rather odd statement to make: comparing a footballer’s knees to a film star’s rack, but according to Eta Meta Market it’s right on the money.
Italian sports paper ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’ quoted market research that the Internazionale striker has his bony caps covered by a $19 million insurance policy, whereas Monica’s ample baps apparently don’t weigh in with as much clout in the cold, grey world of valuations.

The 23 year-old Carioca is tailed by Michael Schumacher, the Ferrari living legend having his forearms covered to the shrill tune of $17 million. In third place is Italian bike hotshot Valentino Rossi, whose wrists deserve $16 million of underwritten precaution.

The survey quotes only Italians or foreigners living and working in Italy, so names such as Kobe Bryant or Nicole Kidman don’t thunder into the picture. Despite national adulation switching overseas after her cleavage’s star turn in ‘Matrix Reloaded’, Monica’s much-filmed curves even droop below Luciano Pavarotti’s vocal chords in monetary terms.

With flashbacks of Ronaldo’s knee going walkabout against Lazio and the lengthy recovery period still haunting memories, the hefty premiums are paid religiously after the Fenômeno’s saga. Fans were rocked by déjà vu when Adriano’s right knee flared up twice this season; both times at critical junctures in national as well as European competition.

Perhaps torn asunder on the inside, even the most die-hard Inter fans will admit that – any future huge implants excepted – Monica’s ligaments are likely to suffer less wear and tear in her everyday work. After all it would be a big slip-up for Clubs to compare the relative chances of injury between the two professions, and if that was met by a repeat disaster such as suffered by Ronaldo then they’ll be guilty of badly handling a couple of huge boobs.
