i would prefer Torres over Henry, Torres is one for the future, and would be great with Kaka and Gilardino...

Milan are reportedly pondering a summer move for Fernando Torres after his agent opened the door for an Atletico Madrid exit.
The talented youngster, known as El Nino in his homeland, has been linked with a switch for some time and he’s edging closer to a big money move.
“There was a strong argument why Fernando needed to stay at Atletico last summer and that is this summer’s World Cup,” Jose Martin Otin is quoted as saying.
“Had he gone to Chelsea, for example, he could have risked his squad place given that he may not have played regularly.
“But what reason is there to stay now? There is none.”
The technically gifted attacker is on a number of clubs’ wish lists given his incredible potential on the biggest stage.
Milan have been watching the starlet for years and are known to have excellent relations with Atletico Madrid.
However, Torres also has admirers in England with Chelsea and Manchester United paired with the international.
Chelsea would have no problem meeting Atletico Madrid’s valuation, while the Old Trafford outfit could offer Ruud Van Nistelrooy in a swap deal.

During the last couple of days we've been linked with Henry, Eto'o, Torres and Van Nistelrooy. And everybody knows that we need to strengthen our defence... :p017:

totally agree, and the reason I can't understand all these rumours. That whole Gattuso-Ruud rumour just made no sense at all
Personally, i think we do need a new striker ... however, we all know the defence is the priority. Maybe funds/deals for defenders are already sorted out, who knows ... all we know is that we are Milan and we'll always be linked with the top tier of players.

I wouldn't mind a new striker but only after the defence and midfield have already been sorted out. As for Torres, I can't stop thinking that he would be one major waste of money ... just don't see this guy having anything but nightmares playing in Serie A.

We should have gotten Torres instead of Gilardino...he is more explosive, fast, tougher, and creative...
he maybe AAALLLLLLLLL that, but Gilardino scores more goals... and that's what it's all about...
BTW, I don't think he is...

I agree, Torres doesn't score enough goals. But maybe he would score more for Milan than for Atletico Madrid, as he would have had much better team-mates...

that's true, especially when most of our goals come from only 4 players - kaka, Sheva, Pippo, Gila. Torres in an excellent year for him can't score what Gila does in a so-so year. I persoanlly would expect gila to be much better and composed in his second season with us.
Gila had a combination of BAD LUCK and LACK OF AIM... and with Pippo at top form he had to watch a few games from the game... still he's one of the players with more minutes played this season... and scored 17 goals...
with a little Tune Up, he could be back to 20+ goals next season...

Gila hasn't actually had a bad season. He's only two goals behind Sheva in the league, and could catch up with the Ukranian if he has a good game against Roma.
1. Torres ,as he is palying right now, cant compete in serie a.
2. Carlo cant develop Gilardino as Gile needs to develop. gila is suffering form bad coaching and lack of self belief.he is 5 times torres.
3. off topic.........If I see Sheva in Chelsea shirt I'll cry....

Err.. Ancelotti can't turn Gila into a world class player? Are we talking about the same Ancelotti who made Pirlo into the best defensive playmaker in the world?

i agree wid u but to get a young spaniard into italy and make him survive against teams like inter and messina and make him score goals and last but not least, make him mentally tough!....aaaa......looks to me that its beyond carlo's league. I see his talent limited upto italians only. is pirlo really the best defensive playmaker? have not hard that kind if accolade of him. maybbe coz all midfield playmakers are attacking. :drunk:
No he didnt, they did it in Brescia. BEST DEFENSIVE PM IN THE WORLD?? Heve you seen mr.Pirlo play this year? pathetic, that is his description.nothing more. Carlo ,on the other hand, had Henry and used him as a winger, and benched him mostly, then he went to Wenger ( a real coach that knows his job).

I like Pirlo and all, but he definitely has not played like the best defensive playmaker

I actually don't have any complaints about Pirlo this year, except for in a few matches. I think he is incredibly important to Milan. When we're attacking, everything starts with him. Superb technique, great vision, great passing. Wonderful player.
I don`t think Milan needs him ..
if we get Henry , Diarra , Gallas :)
everythink is going to be just GOOOOOODDD !!!!!

i think that fernando torres is only player who can replace Sheva, and he will be ideal singing because he is very young, powerful and promising player.

I'd prefer Eto'o
What about Ronaldinho? I know it's not the same kind of player, but he is surely the best player at this moment... :diablo:
I should imagine this is already being discussed in the transfers forum :)
torres??? no thanx
perhaps he has the skill but he certainly lacks the GOALS

He can provide us with great attacking skill and imagination.

I think David Villa is a much better player than Torres. They play the same role. Maybe,...more utilizable? :)
