View Full Version : Official Ac Milan Rumors Thread
Please post all rumors here. Simple as that! We do not need 100 different threads being opened to whisper names and dream teams. This will help keep the forums easy to read and understand.
And thanks to RIO who originally posted the guidelines below--I did a minor edit on them for this season. Please read them!
Important! Posting Rules and Guidelines
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, this might seem a bit much now, but soon after the glow of our Champion's League, League and Cup success fades we will all be hearing and reading a ton of transfer rumours and even reading some legitimate transfer news. Therefore, I am going to post a few tips and guidelines to help make this forum easy to navigate and a pleasure to read .
1. READ BEFORE YOU POST!
Is your particular rumour or report already posted here? If so add your own personal 2 cents to that thread. Do not open a new thread on the same subject. Your new thread will get merged. It will still be there and people will still be able to read your insights, but it will just be in the proper place.
2. Give A Source For Your Information
All good journalists give credit to their sources and so should you! If you read it on the website www.sillytransfernews.com, mention your source. If you were having dinner with Berlusconi last night and he whispered to you that, "We are getting Chivu and Mexes, please pass the salt." Mention that too. Giving the source of your informtion can help others to decide what weight to give said information, and it is only common courtesy to mention where you've gotten something from.
3. THINK!
Does this rumour or piece of news have anything to do with Milan? Sure the fact that a big name English Premier League player perhaps going to La Liga could in theory affect Milan, but does the possible transfer of some Albanian winger who plays for Energie Cottbus or a superstar from the J League have anything to do with Milan? Think about it before posting, and if your mental answer is "No", then post it in General Soccer and not in Transfers.
If you try youir very best to follow there simple guidelines, you will find this Forum easier to read and navigate, and your life (and ours) much more pleasant. Transfer season is always exciting and fun And you can help make it more exciting and fun, by folowing these few simple guidelines. Be courtious, be kind, be intelligent and be cool. Forza Milan!

Some time last year we were have believed to have had first-option on Vincent Kompany of Anderlecht. Many specialists pipped him to be the next big thing in defence. He is very young and is already very classy. He signed for Hamburg for 10m euros + additional fees depending on his performances next year in the Bundesliga.
Hamburg now have Nigel De Jong, Van der Vaart, Pochowski (sp?), and Kompany.

Well, here (http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Squadre/Milan/Primo_Piano/2006/06_Giugno/01/Yoann%20Gourcuff.shtml) a pretty auspicious report from young Gourcuff.
What do you think of BARTHEZ to remplace DIDA?

I dont like it Barthez is too ecentric by dribbling the ball to the edge of his 18 yrd box and then trying to take the strikers on it just dosnt work. no Dida may drop a few clangers but hes safe barthez is unpreditable.

Milan, idea Thuram per il dopo Stam: Abbiati verso la Juve
Calciomercato (http://it.sports.yahoo.com/19062006/4/milan-idea-thuram-per-dopo-stam-abbiati-verso-juve.html)

what is the deal with Chelsea being rumoured in a Nesta transfer? what are they trying to do steal our team or something? Milan wouldn't let Nesta leave anyway because our defense can't afford to let that happen. Now after those Jackasses took our best forward they think we are going to let them take out best defender? That makes would be insane. Although the problem now is after seeing Sheva leave, you can never say "never" about players coming or leaving. For those of you that want a source to go Channel4.com I am too lazy to post the exact link.

Italia uno (Mediaset TV) during a sport program said talk started between Milan and Juve regarding transfers: Milan to give Abbiati plus 25 million euros
and having Buffon plus Thuram and Zambrotta (on loan)

I that's true and we manage to push the "on loan" thing to "full ownership", that would be a good deal IMO, especially if we could get Canna insted of Thuram as Nesta and Canna make up for a great pair.
But we'll see what happens, just need to be a bit more patient.

I don't think we need all those players, but... :dontkn:
why do you think that ?
Dida is leaving .. we need to find a sub for him ..
and transfering Zambrota , Cannavaro/Thuram would be a big plus in our defence .. IMO cannavaro would be fit with nesta so i prefer him .. Thuram could go to man.utd :dontkn:
I generally believe that management has done well in getting good young players that have formed the core of this team. Pirlo and Pippo in 2001, Nesta and Seedorf in 2002, Kaka in 2003, and Gila in 2005, and hopefully Gourcuff turns out to be the same in 2006, along with whichever other buys we make. However, I don't understand why we are salivating over defenders who may have 1 or 2 good yrs left in them. Thuram and Cannavaro are good players but are 33-34. Why not go for a Mexes, Lugano, Marquez, etc... Their transfer fee would be higher yet the return would be worth it. Also, I believe Kaladze performed extremely well as a center back last season, so why are people trying to push him out of the team. He and Nesta formed a strong partnership, plus he is 28. If we are to get a center back, let's get a young one and have him learn and play under the tutelage of the current stars we have. We are also getting back our great captain this yr. He may be 38 now, but if I recall correctly, he was playing at a high level last yr before his injury.
yes they make good work transfering young players .. but look teams in Premier League for example Arsenal .. better part of their first squad was with players under 26 .. WE GOT TO DO BETTER !! :)

well.. a source from channel 4. The last threat had been close.. so post it here..
Calderon: Kaka has Real deal
Despite extending his contract with Milan, Kaka will join Real Madrid this summer, insists Presidential candidate Ramon Calderon.
“There are no doubts that Kaka will play with Real Madrid next season,” the businessman told Spanish newspaper ‘As’.
“If I should fail to win the election, then I’d explain to the new President how to make the move happen, because Kaka does want to come here.”
Calderon’s interest in the Brazilian starlet is nothing new, but his announcement that he would speak personally with the player at the World Cup camp in Germany infuriated Milan.
The club referred the matter to FIFA as an illegal approach, then extended Kaka’s contract until 2011 in a bid to end the rumours of a future with the Galacticos.
“I signed this contract and now the stories about me going to Madrid should go away,” said the Selecao star when he put pen to paper. “I have no intention of leaving Milan. I am happy here.”
Calderon has been proclaiming many deals ahead of the contested Real Madrid Presidential election, pledging to bring Juventus Coach Fabio Capello and Chelsea’s Dutch master Arjen Robben to the Bernabeu.
His latest comments, however, are set to earn him another reprimand from Milan and therefore FIFA.

Juve await exodus Saturday 15 July, 2006
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reports suggest that nine key Juventus players are set to leave Turin after yesterday’s Calciopoli verdict sentenced the Bianconeri to Serie B.
Azzuri heroes Gigi Buffon (pictured) and Gianluca Zambrotta may be the first to the door. While Milan are said to be interested, the lack of Champions League football could force the pair to look overseas.
Real Madrid’s ex-Roma transfer wizard Franco Baldini has made no secret of his intention to “fish in the Juve pond” should his old employers find themselves relegated, as is now the case.
The Bernabeu side have already revealed in interest in Emerson and Coach Fabio Capello has called for Fabio Cannavaro to follow him to Spain.
Inter are said to be discussing terms with Swedish marksman Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but David Trezeguet and Lilian Thuram face uncertain futures.
Milan have managed to keep Kaka, Gennaro Gattuso and Andrea Pirlo, but will now miss out on Fernando Torres as the Spanish ace has stressed that he needs to play Champions League football.[U]
To me it doesn't matter if other teams beat us in the 'number' of transfers, as long as we beat them in the 'number' of points at the end of the season.

Oh yeah, and also Vieri, Amoroso, Pancaro, Kalac, Efterophoulos, Rivaldo, Simic, Esajas, etc, etc, etc...
If we are going to spend big then at least consult with Carlo so he can pick out the right guy for the team, Carlo has been around the block a couple of times he should know what his team needs
Oh yeah, and also Vieri, Amoroso, Pancaro, Kalac, Efterophoulos, Rivaldo, Simic, Esajas, etc, etc, etc...
Yeah, go ahead and be sacarstic. Vieri is a flop, Amoroso is never meant to be a star, Pancaro? EXCUSE ME he won a serie A with us if you remember. the 2 goalkeepers? you sure you want to mention them? you ask yourself whether they are meant to be the starting XI when they are bought?
Rivaldo: Rivaldo is rivaldo's problem. He got as much playing time as Rui Costa, and see who wants to leave at the end? Simic? Dear GRN, I don't know when you start watching Milan. Go and watch how Simic played in the CL the year we won during the group stage. Then you'll know how to shut your mouth. Esajas? Is he meant to be a starting XI AT ALL?
Amoroso, the 2 GK and Esajas are never meant to start a game unless even the 2nd line players were injured. Rivaldo chose to leave. Pancaro and Simic did win something with us, HALO? The only players that you mention correctly is Vieri.
etc. etc. etc.? So who they are ? Come on? Shot me the answers? 90% of the players you name are not meant to be indispensible anyway; tell me how you explain it.
The only one that I'm not happy with the management is Janku, but it may be attributed to lack of game play (as suggested by someone else) and unexpected long injury. Tell me who these 'etc. etc. etc.' are that are influential in our game play.
Oh yeah, and you may want to compare it with Inter Milan and see how many GREAT players have flopped over there, let alone Seedorf and Pirlo.
ANd oh yeah, count the players that have gone without success even they have left... how many people are saying Dhorasoo is great? How about Contra ? How about world-cup disappointment Coloccini? You tell me these are wrong decisions? Give me an answer.

We don't need money from UCL , we have Berlusconi and a new sponsor who brings in a lot more money.
If players want to play UCL they will have to wait a year or so because no one is leaving unless the board wants them to leave.

Azzurri star Gennaro Gattuso’s future is in doubt again, after his agent admitted that the Rossoneri midfielder had not yet committed to Milan.
Gattuso had declared last week that he would stay at the San Siro regardless of the Calciopoli verdict stating: “I am certain that I will be at Milan next season and play for them in Serie A.”
However, after Friday’s sentence denied the Diavoli a place in next season’s Champions League, Ringhio appears to be having second thoughts.
“I’m going to sit down with Gennaro now in order to discuss the implications of what has happened,” Gattuso’s agent Andrea D’Amico stated. “Only after an in-depth chat can we decide what will be best for the future.”
There is some good news for the Milan faithful as ex-Parma hit man Alberto Gilardino and Brazilian prodigy Kaka’ have confirmed that they will stay with the club.

Pirlo Set For Milan Exit (http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=403747&CPID=21&clid=120&lid=8&title=Pirlo+set+for+Milan+exit)
Reports emanating from Italy claim Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo is keen for a fresh start, with Spain his favoured destination.
The Italian World Cup winner has been strongly linked with a move away from the San Siro after some impressive displays for the Azzurri in Germany.
With Milan not involved in next season's UEFA Champions League following their guilty verdict in the match-fixing trial, some of the Rossoneri's biggest names are rumoured to be muttering their dissatisfaction behind the scenes.
Pirlo is thought to be one of those unhappy at the prospect of playing only domestic football next season and could be set to leave Milan.
A number of the continent's top clubs have been linked with the 27-year-old, including Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
However, Pirlo's admission of his likeness for Spain will alert Real to the possibility of his signature, although Milan are still determined to hold onto their star midfielder, who has two years remaining on his current contract.
Milan have yet to comment on the situation but should they relent and allow Pirlo to leave, they would most likely step up their bid to sign Lyon's Mahamadou Diarra as a replacement.
Real Prepare 50 Million Euro Bid For Kaka
The Merengues are desperately trying to lure the Brazilian midfielder to Madrid.
Real Prepare 50 Million Euro Bid For Kaka (http://www.goal.com/en/articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=94849)
Despite extending his contract in the past weeks, Kaka might still end up with Real Madrid next season, as Fabio Capello's side are preparing a massive bid of 50 million Euros to try and sign the Brazilian ace.
However, Milan have already refused an initial offer of 30 million Euros and everything seems to indicate that they will refuse this new offer.
Still, Kaka would like to continue playing in the Champions League and might therefore be tempted to join Ronaldo and company in order to continue playing in Europe's most important competition.

Chelsea to launch mega ?70M Kaka bid
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to offer a staggering ?70 million for AC Milan midfield ace Kaka.
DiarioSport says Abramovich is ready to blow Real Madrid out of the water with an offer TWICE as big as what the Spanish giants are willing to put on the table for the Brazilian.
Last month, Abramovich watched Kaka in action for Brazil against Australia at the World Cup - sitting alongside Real sports chief Predrag Mijatovic.
Despite their healthy relationship, Abramovich won't stand idly by and allow Real to sign Kaka without a fight. The Russian is angry that Juventus defender Fabio Cannavaro is choosing Real over his club and is now determined to trump them for Kaka as a way of 'pay-back'.
http://esportes.terra.com.br/futebol/europeu2005/interna/0,,OI1071896-EI5338,00.html
It says Kaka is happy with Real Madrid interest, but he won't leave the rossoneri unless there is a proposal that make Milan and him very pleases, specailly Milan.
Also, its says Real iks willing to pay up to $60 million in the player, who is happy in Italy and will not force any situation.
I don't think Milan will accept any bids on Kaka for this season, since we already lost Sheva and needs to recover a 15 pts situation.

It will be really an act of lunacy to sell a player like Kaká without replacing him with an equally worhty top class attacking midfielder.
I know the members of this forum feel as strongly about Milan as I do, but I am getting sick and tired of these rumors emanating from left and right. Most of these rumors are coming unsubstantiated sources. Today, the official AC Milan website has reassured fans that nobody is leaving, and that unfortunately rumors will still pop up left and right. Milan is taking a 1 yr vacation from Champions and we will be back stronger than ever. Unfortunately as with all WC years, some players become overvalued because of strong performances and good players who have bad WC become undervalued. Soccer players are as trustworthy as poker players. Their words mean nothing. The club has clearly stated that whoever has an existing and valid contract will remain. It shouldn't be otherwise. Loyalty goes both ways and some of our players need to be reminded of this, even if it's the hard way. We took a chance on Kaka, Pirlo (do we remember where his career was headed before Ancelotti changed his role), Gattuso who would have been destined to play for Rangers or Birmingham, etc... Garbage teams such as Chelsea and Real, are the flavor of the month right now but sooner or later, low behavior from turds like Abramovich and Calderon, always catches up. Let's not forget that for all their claims of being the greatest club in the world, Real really didn't accomplish much for a very very long time. I believe from the 60's till the late 90s. We will be back in Champions next yr, even with a 15pt handicap, Inter and their idiot coach will still find a way to blow it, and we will win UEFA cup!!! Berlusconi, may be a flamboyant and not always honest politician, but he loves the team dearly and will spend cash to reinforce the squad this summer.

End of this story (at least for me)
This row of rumors about Kaka is never ending. More often than not, this tug-of war seems to be single-ended: Even back in June when he said liked being with Milan and renewed his contract (he posted it in his own blog site himself!), there were still media reports insisting on club offers. And until now, whenever circumstances change, things sometimes get lost in translation and there's always speculations again.
I do admit I get uneasy when I hear new rumors again (the what ifs etc.) but I keep in the back of my mind that AC Milan's official website does mention again of Kaka's devotion to Milan and the renewal of his contract.
What can I say...we just can't stand these clubs still trying to pursue Kaka! and while you're at it, Milan's star players!
KAKA isn't going anywhere.
Reports have been suggesting we are set to pick up Buffon as he doesn't want to leave Italy. Roma were interested, but can't afford his wages. So, as we still are in Serie A and have a slim chance of winning the scuddetto, these are some possible players who all have been rumored to join us. Some will need to be lured to Milan after the scandal, but with Berlusconi I don't have a doubt

Thats fantasy football. That is impossible signings and you know it.
Possible signings atm are Buffon, Zambrotta, Oddo and Miguel. We are still not being linked with a CM or a F but my guess is that we will be getting Crespo or Suazo.
This scandal is pulling us back so hard. There is a month and a half left and so far we lost 3 world-class players in Stam, Sheva, Rui Costa, and we got a promising youngster Gourcuff and Favalli. So far it doesnt look well at all, but lets cross our fingers and see how it goes. I agree with almost everyone that Milan needs to finally flex its muscles in the transfer market after years of buying old freebies.

I know a lot of people would disagree, but Im not IMPRESSED with Ribery. I read everywhere he had a great WC but I dont share that view.
Trezeguet? Well, if it were between him and Crespo I would go with Trez.
A lot of the Juventus players love Serie A, and only a team like Inter and Milan could afford their wages. Inter, aren't interested in the players I mentioned and all are very attainable. If Trezeguet doesn't join, we can always get Crespo as he would love a return to Milano (Milan or Inter). I'll admit Vieira and Ribery are difficult signings, but could you imagine what magic that midfield would!
Say Kaka did leave Milan to Real Madrid, would Pirlo be able to play Kaka's position as an attacking midfielder and who do you think should replace Pirlo in his position if Kaka happened to leave?
OK, let's put a stop to this... see below

UN IMPEGNO SPECIALE
17/07/2006
Translation of the lines in BOLD:
- Stay calm....
- No one is leaving... understood? No one is leaving.
- We could make changes in an area of squad as it currently is, but none that could affect the core. Among the "big" none is leaving. To watch Shevchenko go was already enough pain and that will not happen again.
-NO ONE IS LEAVING. official source

Hmm...That raises another interesting question: Who's coming? =)
I like the second one: "Understood? no one is leaving". And sant, no one will believe you; they'll say that the official website is covering up the story :)

The situation of Zambrotta is doubtful. There is an offer from Madrid but also one from Milan. After all appeals the situation regarding Moggipoli will become clearer and Juventus await Milan's move.
Zambrotta Prefers Milan (http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=403994&CPID=8&clid=8&lid=2&title=Zambrotta+prefers+Milan)
Juventus full back Gianluca Zambrotta will only contemplate a move to Chelsea if Milan fail to make a satisfactory offer for his services.
The buccaneering Italian was one of the stars of the World Cup and following Juventus' relegation as a result of the match-fixing furore that has shook Serie A to its core, he has not been short of suitors.
Real Madrid have been mooted as strong candidates, with Fabio Capello's move to the Spanish capital from the Old Lady fueling such reports, but it has now become apparent that the versatile left-sider would prefer to stay in Italy.
Zambrotta would also likely have the option of moving to Liga champions Barcelona should he desire, and it is sure to be a high profile scramble for his signature that ensues over the coming month.
It is, though, Milan at the head of the queue, with Zambrotta only likely to be plying his trade in the Premiership next term if the two Italian outfits cannot concur on a suitable deal.
"Zambrotta's wish is to stay in Italy but not at Juventus, and the only club that can afford the transfer and that have shown a keen interest is Milan," said Zambrotta's agent, Giuseppe Bonetto.
"Should Juve fail to reach an agreement with Milan then Zambrotta will consider the other alternatives.
"An agent representing Chelsea will meet Juventus in the next few days.
"It will be down to Juventus to make the decisions and let us know what the options are once there is something concrete.
"Chelsea are not the only ones interested in Zambrotta as Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keen to sign the player."

Zambrotta keen on Milan Tuesday 18 July, 2006
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Milan are in pole position to sign Gianluca Zambrotta, the Juventus player’s agent has revealed on Tuesday.
Although the English media have speculated that Chelsea are lining up a bid for the versatile full-back, the Italian won’t ponder a move abroad unless his desire of joining the Rossoneri fails to materialise.
"Zambrotta's wish is to stay in Italy, but not at Juventus and the only club that can afford the transfer and that have shown a keen interest is Milan," Giuseppe Bonetto told PA Sport.
"Should Juve fail to reach an agreement with Milan then Zambrotta will consider the other alternatives.”
The former Bari player is expected to leave the Italian giants after their relegation to Serie B and Juventus have been bombarded with requests.
Although Bonetto conceded that Chelsea will make a formal approach, the Premiership champions will have to join a long queue.
“An agent representing Chelsea will meet Juventus in the next few days, but they are not the only ones interested in Zambrotta,” he added.
“Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keen to sign the player.
"It will be down to Juventus to make the decisions and let us know what the options are once there is something concrete.”
Juventus value the newly crowned World Cup winner, recognised as one of the game’s best full-backs, at around £14m.
The former Under-21 international joined the Stadio Delle Alpi outfit in 1999 for £7m from southern minnows Bari.
He’s been a massive success in Turin, even more so after former boss Marcello Lippi transformed him from a right-winger into a marauding full-back.

I'd certainly love to see Zambrotta in the Red and Black, he's still got juice in the tank and he's absolutely World Class. We may have suffered a little at the Forward position losing Sheva, but if we tighten up at the back, we should still see success. I don't doubt for a minute that A.C. wouldn't bring in one of the best available strikers to make up for Sheva, but as people have (quite rightly) said, Sheva is the best, it's only downhill from there.

L'AGENTE DI GATTUSO: "Rino resterà"
18/07/2006
Gattuso is happy to stay.
MILAN STARS GOING NOWHERE: ...(in English :))
Milan have reassured supporters that they will not be selling any more of their star players.
The Rossoneri have already lost striker Andrei Shevchenko and been stripped of their place in the UEFA Champions League, while they will also start the new Serie A campaign with a 15-point deficit as punishment for their part in the match-fixing scandal.
Fears have arisen that the likes of Gennaro Gattuso, Andrea Pirlo and Kaka may also jump ship and plunge Milan into a season of mid-table mediocrity.
However, the club are determined to retain their place among Europe's elite and have insisted that, following Shevchenko's sale to Chelsea, they will not fall into the same trap again.
"The place that Milan holds in millions of hearts in Italy, Europe and all over the world is really special," read a statement released on the club's official website.
"It is correct to reaffirm that, after Shevchenko's exit, there will not be others.
"Milan want to underline publicly to everyone, that, without exception, contracts are there to be respected.
"There could be changes in a few areas because of the current situation, but nothing that could affect the first team.
"Seeing Shevchenko leave has already caused us a lot of sadness and it will not be repeated."

idk i hope cannavaro, zambrotta go to milan because iam 100 percent positive that buffon is coming to milan but cannavaro n zambrotta have a great chance in going to real madrid. to me thats wrong because i like the italian players to stay in the best league in the world, which is serie A.
Rumours heard on the radio:
Morning:
Arsene Wenger of Arsenal is interested in Juventus trinity:- Buffon, Cannavaro, Zambrotta. He also expressed interest in AC Milan's Pippo Inzaghi.
Evening:
Arsenge Wenger of Arsenal denied any interest for the Juventus trio. He mentioned that Arsenal could not match Juventus's salary scheme for the trio.
No mention of Inzaghi's. Personally, I believe Pippo will stay. And I also believe Buffon and Zambrotta is more than 50% confirm of their transfer to Milan. That means, I have no idea what's Mr Wenger smoking about.
As long as no Italian in Premiership! You listen! *shake fist*
I love this statement:
“Neither La Liga or the Premier League will be able to boast the likes of [Alessandro] Nesta, [Gennaro] Gattuso, Kaká or [Andrea] Pirlo,” Milan said in a statement last night. “They are our champions and are here to stay. Ricky [Kaká] once again politely but firmly declined the interest of another club. Playing for Milan is a matter of the heart, like being with family.”

they have managed to screw the transfers of buffon and ZAMBROTTA, somehow,.. they were those players who themselves said that they want to play for milan and zambrotta was available for only 14 millions,.. but it is only OUR GREAT CLUB MILAN, who manages to lose worldclass players somehow when they themselves say they wanna come to milan
i thank berlusconni and galliani, looks like this year too we will get to hear the speeches from berlusconi and ancelotti that our defence is not ageing, its perfect,.. we just have signed favalli (our biggest signing this year) while inter gets to have players like grosso, and prob trez or toni
We have to try to remain positive tho. Transfer season is far from over and you know as well as I do that the whole of transfer season is one big guessing game! Even Ancelotti would be nuts to accept only Favalli as the ...I hate to use the word....big signing for the summer. Management would be insane to think we'd be competitive if that's all we do. I'm going to try to remain as positive as I can that we're still in for some surprises... :3band:

Should I even bother? Well, let me give it one last go...
Nothing is final yet amigo...have you seen Zambrotta holding up a shirt of Barca? Have you seen, apart from the purchase by Real of Emerson and Cannavaro any other concrete transfers?
Do you know what is going on in the negotiations? Does Zambrotta want a 10 year contract? Did Buffon want a guaranteed starting position? If you do know, please, share your insight with us.
Did we really want Cannavaro and Emerson, who, as GRE-NO-LI will gladly tell you, are already two steps from a retirement home?
I am literally at my wits end with some of these posts...until we have seen Sky Sports News, or ESPN, or whichever tv station or internet site declaring the "official" nature of a transfer..why waste time and money making posts that have no basis in fact?

these just keep on getting out of hand..
Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf has defended his club against the Calciopoli accusations and spoken of his optimism for next season.
“On the pitch I never noticed any advantage or disadvantage from the referees,” the Dutchman stressed.
“It’s useless to talk about Calciopoli now. Everything could change, for now we can only hope.”
While Seedorf has committed his future to the Rossoneri, his midfield colleague Kaka is still pondering his next move.
“I spent two days on holiday with him and I can tell you that he’s thinking about what’s the best move for him,” revealed Seedorf.
“I do know however that the club has tried to keep its’ best players.”
One thing that is certain is that Milan will have to cope without Andriy Shevchenko next term.
Seedorf is well aware that the burden of replacing the Ukrainian star falls in part to him.
“It will be difficult to replace him,” the ex-Sampdoria man admitted. “We all need to lend a hand going forward given that we’ve lost a player who can guarantee 20 goals a season.”
Seedorf has been a Milan player since 2002 when he signed from city rivals Inter after a luckless spell with the Nerazzurri.
It is rumoured that Real Madrid are willing to offer around £50m for Kaka’s signature, Milan’s wait for the Brazilian’s decision continues.

MIlan Keen On Oddo Deal (http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=405472&CPID=21&clid=120&lid=8&title=Milan+keen+on+Oddo+deal)
Milan are once again trying to wrap up a deal for Lazio defender Massimo Oddo.
The Italy international seems likely to quit the capital following Lazio's relegation as punishment for their involvement in the match-fixing furore that has rocked Italian football.
Milan have been in dialogue with their Lazio counterparts for much of the summer, with regards setting up a deal, but as yet an accord has not been struck.
Due to start the campaign with a 15-point deficit, Milan are eager to start strongly and see Oddo as the ideal candidate to add solidity to an ageing back four.
However, an opening offer of €2.5 million (£1.7 million) has failed to impress Lazio president Claudio Lotito as he looks for closer to €5 million (£3.4 million).

Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo has insisted he has not opened negotiations with Milan over his possible return to the Serie A giants.
The former Lazio star has continually reiterated his desire to return to Italy during the summer to be nearer his family and Milan have been one of the clubs strongly linked with the 31-year-old.
Crespo spent the 2004/05 season on loan at the San Siro and has been told by Chelsea chiefs that he may be allowed to leave should a suitable offer be tabled.
"I have heard that the club will only let me go if they receive a good proposal for my transfer," Crespo said.

The Croatia international, the most-capped player in his country's history, performed in the World Cup finals but was one of the players sent off by referee Graham Poll during the crunch clash with Australia.
Formerly with Dinamo Zagreb and Internazionale, the versatile stopper is under contract until May, 2009, but has been stunned by the punishments dished out to his club by the Italian footballing authorities for the scandal that has rocked the game.
"There are two interested clubs," he revealed to the Croatian press. "One of them is Everton.
"But everything is on stand-by, although I spoke to [Milan general sports director] Ariedo Brada about this interest."
Everton boss David Moyes attempted to sign the 30-year-old during the two transfer windows in 2005 and is a long-term admirer of the player.
The Rossoneri have been granted an entry route into the UEFA Champions League following an appeal against their suspension, and the lighter punishment could lead to the likes of Simic ultimately agreeing to remain in Milan.
The San Siro outfit now have an eight-point deduction for next season's Serie A instead of the 15-point penalty originally planned.

Well, well, well, always distorting other people's sayings, that's the sad, despicable, scornful omen of Jeff... There's a whole gigantic ocean separating Emerson from Cannavaro in terms of quality: Emerson always were a goddamned AWFUL player, one of the most unbelivably overrated footballers of all time, totally deprived of any footballng skill; so once he was a 'young boar' and now he's an even worst 'boar', because he's too damn old and wasted for playing football with even a passing iota of eficience; on the other hand, Canna always were an excellent CB, and fortunatelly for Italy he keep playing with great flair, elegance and power, one of that TREMENDOUSLY RARE footballers that manage to maintain the same level of performance as time goes by... :5ok:
I am never distorting what you are saying GNL; I'm just simply showing you that what you hve been saying about old boars are not full-proof and, quite unfortunately, old age does not always seem to correlate with performance. I'm not going to argue with you here anymore; I think you have distorted what I'm trying to say, which is extremely unfortunate.
BTW, let me congraduate you that your ENglish is not bad AT ALL; which means that I'm pretty sure you can type up with a longer post with more evidences to backup your case. Good luck.

Lugano will move as soon as Libertadores Cup ends. According to rumours here in São Paulo, he is heading to Fenerbahce. But you never know...
Were we interested in Sobis? Never knew... But his is surprising me recently. Actually he is much better than I initially thought. Solid presentations recently - not yesterday night against Libertad, but he convinced me that he can be a more than perfect sub for Gila.
rumors today say that Milan are interested in Torres and Ronaldinho. Torres has only 1 year contract left 2 years (i.e. summer = 1 yr left); while Ronaldinho may leave if the present Barca president fails to be re-elected.

Milan are ready to make a fresh bid for Atletico Madrid symbol Fernando Torres, reports in Italy are insisting.
The Via Turati club are now focusing on signing new players following the Calciopoli verdicts and netting a partner for 22-year-old Alberto Gilardino is their primary objective.
The Rossoneri are keen on finding a new striker to replace Andriy Shevchenko, who left the club for Chelsea before the World Cup Finals.
Torres has recently stated that he wishes to stay with the Colchoneros despite interest from numerous clubs all around Europe.
The Madrid outfit have already refused a £25.7m offer from Manchester United which shattered their dream of seeing Torres in action alongside Wayne Rooney.
Torres has been eyed by Milan since he was 17 and, if UEFA confirm their participation in the Champions League, the Rossoneri may immediately start negotiations with the Spanish club.
Other possible targets for the San Siro legends are still Zlatan Ibrahimovic of Juventus, Chelsea’s Hernan Crespo and Cagliari striker David Suazo.
The Honduras-born player is highly considered by Coach Carlo Ancelotti and may represent a valid alternative in case Milan are excluded from European competition on ethical grounds.
The Via Turati outfit are understood to have offered Marcio Amoroso and Marco Borriello, along with an economic package, to Sardinian chief Massimo Cellino.
However, the Cagliari President snubbed the bid by guaranteeing that Suazo would not leave the islanders this summer.
Milan should find out on August 2 whether they will be allowed to play either Cork City or Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League preliminaries.

Braida today gave us alot of ideas about the transfer market when he was presenting Bonera.
It is on calciomercato and maybe also on acmilan.com.
Here is points to what he said:
-Simic is not leaving because we need him to stay, we are in need of players atm (i might have translated it wrong)..he has no doubt Simic will stay..Same applies to Nesta.. (hmmmm wat the hell? was our board considering selling nesta?)
- we will not look to replace shevchenko because no 1 can, but will look to buy some1 different and new. Braida will try his utmost to sign Torres (im disappointed really, i would have hoped for Tevez)
- he was in touch with ze roberto's agent during the world cup but now is not in any contact with him. He has a great WC but we dont need him in Milan because our midfield is good as it is and it is full!! (i thought we were looking for a CM? remember Poulsen?)
- they will try their best to make a surprise signing for the maginificent and unique fans, but as it is milan has a good competitive squad in every department..
I only wanted to hear this.......we will do our best to sign Torres! great! if Berlusconi does his best, well....who can resist, right? about the midfield, Braida is right. Think about thiis - if we do buy someone, where will he play?? Knowing we will play in 4-3-1-2 formation, the only player that can be benched is seedorf. If we want to add extra man to CM, we need to change to 4-5-1 and that will not happen. Buying Diarra and let him on the bench in unthinkable. That is why Ze Roberto could be good option, he can cover for Seedorf and has ome good defensive skills.

I am not sure I have even heard of him. The only Vieiras who come to mind are the Frenchman and Villarreal's GK.
Anyway, the question is is that Vieira from portsmouth playing well and living up to his potential. cause both Crespo and especially Veron more or less sucked big time after they moved to EPL.
The only South American player I can think of, who lived up to the expectation in EPL, is Gabriel Heinze, the rest of the big transfers, if not total disasters, gave more or less average results.

Milan are reportedly chasing Lyon midfielder Mahamadou Diarra and may table a bid within the next week.
The Rossoneri are looking to strengthen their squad after regaining their Champions League place and have already unexpectedly signed Parma stopper Daniele Bonera.
Now it is being suggested that the Diavoli will aim to lure a defensive midfielder.
Diarra has made no secret of his desire to leave Lyon, but the French side are likely to demand a sizeable fee.
It is believed that Les Gones will ask for between £17m and £20m for the Mali captain’s signature.
Milan’s transfer guru Ariedo Braida is set to meet the player’s agent Frederic Guerra tomorrow with an eye to agreeing a move.
Previously linked with Manchester United, Diarra has spent four years at Lyon since arriving from Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem.
He has made 117 appearances and won three consecutives titles at the Stade De Gerland.
Meanwhile, sparks continue to fly between Milan and Real Madrid as the Spanish Press are today suggesting that Brazilian ace Kaka is “75 per cent certain to go to Real’. :(

After rediscovering Gattuso I think it will be a waste if we spend on Diarra
bang on, i really am not in favour of this move.
but good news my milanistas sorry if this has been posted before:
Milan transfer guru Ariedo Braida has promised that the Rossoneri are lining up a surprise swoop and the Italian Press suggest that it may be Fernando Torres.
“We usually spring a surprise around the transfer deadline and we’re hoping to do the same again,” Braida explained. “It would be good to give our unique fans a present.”
Although Torres has previously stated that he’s happy to stay at Atletico Madrid, the Diavoli may be back in with a chance of swaying the prolific youngster having regained a Champions League berth.
Torres’ agent Antonio Sanz has admitted that his client may be tempted by the San Siro club, but insists that there has been no contact made yet.
“Fernando’s been with Atletico Madrid since he was a child and it’s logical that he will show them loyalty above everything else,” Sanz said.
“But we know that Milan have been tracking him for many years and we can’t deny that a move is appealing, even if for the moment nobody from the Rossoneri has spoken to us.”
Torres – nicknamed El Nino due to his youthful features – has made 138 appearances for Atletico and found the net 68 times.
Other suggested targets for Braida are Gigi Buffon, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ronaldo.
Please Not Ronaldoooooooooo :frustrat:

For those wondering about 'Gattuso IN / Diarra OUT' or 'Gattuso OUT / Diarra IN':
Have you ever heard about something named SQUAD DEPTH?
never thought I would say it but I completely agree :ilol:
actually, I almost agree with you - this move would not add depth to the squad - this is something we already have - it would depth in quality. :)
I know, you probably meant exactly the same thing, just being picky about the terms ;) :rone:
The point of getting a quality player like Diarra or someone else is to give Carlo a choice of players he would feel comfortable fielding in and benching/resting even players like Pirlo, Gattuso, Seedorf rather than playing them every 3 days even when they are clearly not at their best. That way we will always, or at least much more often, will have players in top form on the field rather than a 60% Pirlo who even then would preform at least as well as a 90-100% Vogel.
For exactly the same reason I would love to se Ze Roberto come as well.
As for who should leave, I would expect to see Ambro and Brocchi stay. My guess is that Vogel would be sold but this might happen in the winter break and not necessarily this summer. Same goes for Janku - he will probably be given a chance to prove himself until the winter period and if he doesn't take it, he will probaly go to Roma.
According to Braida, they haven't contacted Ze Roberto shortly after the world cup is over. But who knows?

According to Braida, they haven't contacted Ze Roberto shortly after the world cup is over. But who knows?
http://www.tgcom.mediaset.it/sport/articoli/articolo321099.shtml
at the bottom it says that Ze Roberto has underwent a surgery for clean up of his knee immediately after the World cup - I guess it was something he had been having problems for some time and waited for the world cup to end before he had the surgery. So, Milan are waiting to see how that would develope and make certain that he would fully recover before Braida and Galliani do anything further.
they must play janku then. drop serghino he's past his best now and perhaps if janku knows he's getting a good run rather than coming in for 1 game and having to prove himself in 70 or so minutes his confidence will improve and we could see the old janku!

if carlo preferred to play older players than young ones then I am not sure why Kaka is chosen over Rui. Or Pirlo over Vogel. Bottom line is, carlo plays those players who perform best and will contribute most to the team. last season janku and Serginho were not even close in terms of performance level, and if this year Sergio continues like that, don't be surprised to see Janku benched again. If he wants a place in the first 11, he should earn that with his perfomances and not his age.

Milan want Ronaldinho - report
Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo reported this morning that AC Milan tabled a huge offer for the world’s most popular player, Ronaldinho.
100 million Euros is apparently what the Rossoneri are ready to hand over to Barcelona in exchange for the Brazilian jewel.
Ronaldinho’s arrival to the Italian Serie A would also mean Kaka’s departure to Real Madrid , as Milan would need the 50 million Euros from Kaka’s sale to finance part of the Ronaldinho operation.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nice to see our management finally showing Milan's economic power. Damn how I wish Ronaldinho would be Shevchenko's replacement instead of Ibra,Torres etc. He is far better than allllll of them put together. True Kaka is better than him as an AMC but boy how I wish to see Kaka behind Gila and Ronaldinho. Anyway I hope no one takes these rumours too seriously because they are nothing more than fantasy football.
I think this is something good that every transfer window we are bidding for Ronaldinho - almost exactly like the Sheva case. Now it seems IMPOSSIBLE to leave Barca, especially after winning best player of the year, the double, and having an unbelievable team. But who knows? Maybe his wife will want to learn some Italian in the near future? :D
I hope Kaka does not leave even if we get 3 or 4 players. Its not good for the rossoneri fans because most of us are already in love with Kaka. Losing Sheva was hard enough, but not Kaka, and not even if Ronaldinho were to replace him.
Im really getting more curious day by day thinking of who our surprise transfer can be. Imagine it was Ronaldinho? OMG OMG OMG
Anyway in other rumours, goal.com also has an article saying that Diarra is set for Milan, but its exactly the same as the article we saw yesterday on channel4, so nothing new there. I always said that Diarra would be a dream transfer, he is such a hard-worker and an amazing engine for the team, but I wonder where will he play if we get him? he is definitely better than Gattuso in every aspect of the game (except inspiration), and is better than Seedorf,Pirlo defensively. He is also faster than our 3 midfielders and probably stronger. He also can give us strength in set-pieces as he is tall and can head out of our area, or can even score from set pieces.

We could manage doing something like this in the midfield...
Diarra---Kaka---Pirlo (Gattuso, eek)---Gourcuff(Seedorf)--- or...
Diarra(Seedorf)---Kaka---Pirlo---Gattuso(Gourcuff, eek)---

Sure ronaldinho is the best player on the world. He can win a game alone with his fantastic talend(remember the superb pass to Giully at san-siro where we lost 0-1 this year for chl).I really want him only if we keep and kaka to Milan.
If we dont, no i dont want him at Milan. With all of this money we can buy Diarra,Torres, maybe cristiano ronaldo and who else.
Ronaldinho+Kaka or nothing!

money from sheva, and sponser + belusconi money... we wont get Ronaldino, torres and diarra tho
Guys, it's best we wait until UEFA rules on our CL status first. If they say we can't play, we can kiss Gaucho, Diarra, Torres, and maybe even Kaka, buh-bye. So, let's all just take a deep breath, relax, and wait until Wednesday.

Or maybe thats why Milan should sign players like ROnnie and Diarra and others now. That way UEFA must let Milan play or CL cannot use Ronnie as their poster boy for next season

Milan to sign Andrea Barzagli
It is being rumoured that Milan have agreed terms and conditions with Palermo for the passage of Andrea Barzagli. This means that Milan have now resolved the central defender problem because of Jaap Stam's departure. Milan have again shown that buying Italian is their policy. Barzagli is the under 21 central defender and was played on the world cup with the azzuri.
/end quote
I got this from another forum. I don't know where it exactly come from. If it is true, it will be a very good news for Milan.
Is this the right thread to post something like this?

GavinMilan, your posts are brief but have big sense, I like it.... A team like we have now, we have no chance of winning to Champions league, but if we purchase all our targets, and do regular subbing with all our key players, we could win it... for sure, but then again, if Barca or Chelsea purchase all their targets they have an enormous chance too :(
GavinMilan
01-08-2006, 05:48
Well, I would not say we have no chance in winning it all with the current team. And having all the signings like Ronnie, Buffon, Oddo and Diarra won't guarntee anything either.
Well, lets see what happens, I am just glad Milan is back at attracting best players from all over again

YES OF COURSE IS BETTER RONALDINHO+KAKA!!! :diablo:
I'd prefer Diarra, Torres/Tevez/Ibrahimovic, Buffon + defensive reinforcements over Ronaldinho anyday. We don't need him and DEFINITELY can spend the money more wisely elsewhere. Like replacing Cafu, Dida who wants to leave, Maldini/Costacurta/Serginho who are getting old etc.
Josh-Sheva
01-08-2006, 06:12
We would have some more money after Ronaldinho for more reinforcements... Like for Diarra and for Torres... Janku for Cafu and Buffon for Dida...
and where would Ronaldinho play? You want a repeat of Brazil's 2006 WC all over again ? We'd be better off without him. I'd rather take my chances playing Gourcuff than playing Ronaldinho.
zlatanov
01-08-2006, 06:16
If we get Dinho, you can forget about an expensive forward like Ibra, Torres or tevez. The most we would go for is a cheaper solution like Suazo or Crespo, not that they aren't good.
Only hope that we would still reinforce the midfield and defence because if we spent most of the money on Dinho that would come to haunt us later in the season.
It wouldn't be smart. We'd have to change our formation to accomodate him seeing that we'll probably be signing Diarra. Diarra will definitely be a starter. Where will Ronaldinho play ? In Seedorf's position? Will he defend half as much ?

Besides.. I'm sure even GNL agrees that this wouldn't be a smart transfer.. and he is definitely one of the people on this forum who wants Milan to spend extravagantly. I hope they remember saying that "signing a big name won't always work if he won't benefit the team" . I don't want Milan to become the next Real Madrid.

1. Berlu is back

3. Everything that comes out of Milan is negative this post season, except for Gourcaff and Bonera, but not huge noise that can cover for the negative stuff
4. Milan is Milan

Milan are still trying to sign the Juventus pair of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gianluigi Buffon, reports in Italy are insisting.
Although the Turin giants have insisted that nobody else would be sold once Patrick Vieira quits the outfit, Ibrahimovic and Buffon could now seemingly follow.
“Ibrahimovic will stay in Turin,” chief executive Jean-Claude Blanc stated. “We know we will need a very strong team, even in Serie B.
"Patrick Vieira's departure for Inter, which was finalised on Tuesday morning, will be the last operation done by Juventus this summer.”
However, reports suggest that Rossoneri club officials met the Swedish striker’s agent Mino Raiola in Milan, who confirmed Ibra’s interest in leaving the Bianconeri.
Milan will also allegedly try to sign the Azzurri goalkeeper, a fact that goes some way to explaining why the Old Lady are being linked with £7m rated Livorno ‘keeper Marco Amelia today.
Milan’s move for the Juventus duo may take some time to complete and further developments will depend on UEFA’s Emergency Panel decision on Wednesday.
If the Panel allows Milan’s participation in next season’s Champions League preliminaries, the Via Turati outfit will place an offer that is likely to be somewhere in the region of £50m for both players.
Ibrahimovic alone was given a £28m price tag on Monday, presumably in an effort to scare off both Milan and Internazionale.

haha so tru
£28M for Ibrahimovic would scare anyone. A total rip-off if ever there were one.
I would have to agree with 10. Ibra is a total douche who is a ball hog of epic proportions. He has a big mouth and a bad attitude as well. No matter how talented he is I don't know if I want that character wearing Milan colors. Ad the 28 million quid price tag makes this issue even more of a no-brainer.

Milan star and Real Madrid target Kaka would like to play for the Spanish giants, international teammate Cicinho has declared.
The Real full-back has spoken to his Seleçao buddy about the rumours, Spanish newspaper AS claims on Wednesday.
“I spoke to Kaka,” said Cicinho. “He preferred to not answer my direct question about his imminent arrival in Madrid.
“But everyone wishes to play in a prestigious team such as ours and Kaka’s case is not any different.
“If his transfer were to be finalised it would be a major improvement for the side,” added the South American.
“There are very few players who are capable of keeping their cool in the penalty area as he does.”
Rumours linking Kaka with Real Madrid began prior to the World Cup and have resulted in a verbal war between Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani and Merengues chief Ramon Calderon.
The 24-year-old Kaka and his agent father have denied the constant reports coming out of Spain regarding his proposed Real future.
Milan insist that the young attacking midfielder is not transferable and recently extended his contract until 2001.

Buffon - Oddo - Nesta - Kaladze - Maldini - Gattuso - Pirlo - Diarra - Kakà - Ronaldinho - Gilardino.
Bench: Seedorf, Gourcuff, Ambrosini, Foggia...
Maldini won't and shouldn't play left back.

Ronaldinho-Milan, because it can and because not
The more evocative blow of the summer comes seen with skepticism in Spain and from the same rossonero technician. The market hypothesis comes liquidated like a “Italian Lie”.
Because it can be made
Enough to pay the clause of rescissione and the unequalled one it could want to change air. In order to acquire it enough to introduce itself to the Casmp Nou with 125 mln of euro. Ronaldinho has won all with Barcelona and could be the just moment in order to go to try one new challenge.
Because it cannot be made
The Boat turns to it around and the Brazilian more considers it “of one society. Impossible that Barcelona chip axes something less of 125 million the rescissoria clause and peerchè Ronaldinho in Spain has grown to us, it is exploded, he has conquered the leadership. And because the player also in these times of insufficient attachment to the mesh seems become Catalan beyond that “barcellonista”.
