And thanks to RIO who originally posted the guidelines below--I did a minor edit on them for this season. Please read them!

Now, this might seem a bit much now, but soon after the glow of our Champion's League, League and Cup success fades we will all be hearing and reading a ton of transfer rumours and even reading some legitimate transfer news. Therefore, I am going to post a few tips and guidelines to help make this forum easy to navigate and a pleasure to read .

1. READ BEFORE YOU POST!
Is your particular rumour or report already posted here? If so add your own personal 2 cents to that thread. Do not open a new thread on the same subject. Your new thread will get merged. It will still be there and people will still be able to read your insights, but it will just be in the proper place.

2. Give A Source For Your Information
All good journalists give credit to their sources and so should you! If you read it on the website www.sillytransfernews.com, mention your source. If you were having dinner with Berlusconi last night and he whispered to you that, "We are getting Chivu and Mexes, please pass the salt." Mention that too. Giving the source of your informtion can help others to decide what weight to give said information, and it is only common courtesy to mention where you've gotten something from.

3. THINK!
Does this rumour or piece of news have anything to do with Milan? Sure the fact that a big name English Premier League player perhaps going to La Liga could in theory affect Milan, but does the possible transfer of some Albanian winger who plays for Energie Cottbus or a superstar from the J League have anything to do with Milan? Think about it before posting, and if your mental answer is "No", then post it in General Soccer and not in Transfers.

Some time last year we were have believed to have had first-option on Vincent Kompany of Anderlecht. Many specialists pipped him to be the next big thing in defence. He is very young and is already very classy. He signed for Hamburg for 10m euros + additional fees depending on his performances next year in the Bundesliga.

Hamburg now have Nigel De Jong, Van der Vaart, Pochowski (sp?), and Kompany.

I dont like it Barthez is too ecentric by dribbling the ball to the edge of his 18 yrd box and then trying to take the strikers on it just dosnt work. no Dida may drop a few clangers but hes safe barthez is unpreditable.

Se e'' vero che in attacco nulla si muove con decisione - tanti i nomi ma poche le certezze - qualcosa di concreto si sta avviando sul fronte difesa. what is the deal with Chelsea being rumoured in a Nesta transfer? what are they trying to do steal our team or something? Milan wouldn't let Nesta leave anyway because our defense can't afford to let that happen. Now after those Jackasses took our best forward they think we are going to let them take out best defender? That makes would be insane. Although the problem now is after seeing Sheva leave, you can never say "never" about players coming or leaving. For those of you that want a source to go Channel4.com I am too lazy to post the exact link.

and having Buffon plus Thuram and Zambrotta (on loan)

I that's true and we manage to push the "on loan" thing to "full ownership", that would be a good deal IMO, especially if we could get Canna insted of Thuram as Nesta and Canna make up for a great pair.
But we'll see what happens, just need to be a bit more patient.
