Drogba Linked With AC Milan
Chelsea striker Didier Drogba was having dinner in a Milan restaurant on Monday when by happenstance he ran into AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani.
A brief conversation ensued, during which Galliani allegedly asked Drogba if he would like to join the Rossoneri, who are in search of a striker after Andriy Shevchenko left, coincidentally, for Chelsea this summer. Nobody knows why Drogba was in Milan, which only adds intrigue to his chance run-in with Galliani.
So far, Drogba has outscored Shevchenko two goals to one in the Premiership, and at the weekend Drogba came off the bench to score a goal with a wonderful individual effort in a win over Blackburn.
Italian media speculate that Galliani has taken the chat with Drogba and run, contacting the Blues to discuss the striker's availability. If the rumors are true, AC Milan are prepared to offer 30 million Euros for Drogba.

I am so confused right know, This constant changing of our tranfer objectives is not good for the harmony of th club also.I think this effects in negative way the players also.We were so concetrated in this transfer issue that we didnt have the chance to talk about our strikers, I dont remember when we did mention Pippo and Gila for the last time.
Anyway I think Drogba can be useful for this team, and his playing really good in the begining the season, and he had decent World Cup.I think this could be it, If Mourinho lets him go which I doubt, couse he will be short of strikers than.

Of course.. .Why not Andriano?? I think Drogba cannot help us as much as Andriano, either Ronaldo. I'm very confident about our future! We can win the championship and the Champions League!!

From BBC....
Drogba in transfer speculation
Didier Drogba
Drogba met with AC Milan's vice-president
Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba has sparked new speculations of a possible transfer to Italy.
The Chelsea player was spotted talking to AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliano in a Milan restaurant on Monday.
Drogba, who scored in Chelsea's 2-0 Premiership win at Blackburn, is on holiday in Italy, as his national side have no game in this weekend's African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport said Galliani, who reportedly spoke with Drogba for 15 minutes, may be prepared to table a bid of $38.4 million for the powerful 28-year-old forward.
Milan reluctantly sold Andriy Shevchenko to Chelsea last month and will start the new Serie A season with an eight-point deficit.
They were found guilty of match-fixing during the 2004-05 campaign.
Drogba signed for Chelsea for $45.6 million in July 2004 from Marseilles and scored 16 goals in 40 games in his debut season, helping them to their first league title for 50 years.
He also ended up as the top provider of goals in the Premiership last season, with 11 assists as Chelsea retained their title.
But Drogba had hinted that he might leave the Premiership due to what he considered as unfair treatment by the English media.
NO DROGBA!!!!!!! Is that clear enough ? :)
No seriously, Oliveira is much better than Drogba, I'd take O over D every day.
30 million euros to buy drogba!!!! why???? :p231:

Why didn't we just exchange strikers in the first place? You give us Drogba, we give you Sheva? HEhe, just joking, but I'll answer it: because the trasfer fee for Sheva could've been 50mil + Drogba.

I would say its more like our managament doesnt know what do they want anymore, and I`m guesing that they didnt know at the time that we will need Drogba by the end of the transfer market. we could have aswell put Gallas in the deal. But no ,we wanted money, and money we got. I really hope they are planing to spend this money on a new stadium because i dont see them spending money on players at least this year. Otherwise I will be pissed off

We are so desperate at the moment that if somebody would say to me that Oliveira deal is official,I will be the happiest person on earth.

Hey guys... Milan is Milan!! We must not be happy for players like Oliveira!! He is a B-class player. We have 48 more hours to buy a good player who will help us this year. But no Oliveira or Drogba or Robinho! Ronaldo would be a good adittion because he has the experience and the skills for our team. Pippo and Gilla are alone at the moment so we must do something GOOD IMEDIATELLY !!!!!!
I like both oliveira and drogba. And the last one is far from bad, look at him performing in chelsea (i think mourinho conditions are hard for strikers, their play is sometimes scrappy as hell) and for national team. He is strong, he can finish quite nice with foot and head (and knee against arsenal lol) and he can play good in box or 20m out. For a smart price i would be happy if any of those 2 come.
No way. I don't mind Drogba coming, not at all! He's powerful, can be fast and good with headers.
:guw:
Judging by the number of threads we now have for transfers, Milan has successfully shaken up the transfer market and the media, subsequently adding more confusion :wow: and weirdness to this silly season.
Not claiming that I know of Milan's transfer tactics, but because of this too, don't you think that Milan has opened up so many options? It gives us an idea of how much the player is worth in the market, the availability of the player, any swaps or loan deals needed, plus other clubs interested surfacing up once again. All these stallings are quite good tactics too because the timing of the situation definitely plays a lot with transferring a player. :howler:
Drogba is a helluva player. Anyone who claims he's crap doesn't know what they're talking about. He's big, he's strong, he's fast, he's skillful, he's good in the air and he's got a powerful shot. But that's exactly why Chelsea isn't looking to sell him. He and Sheva make a wonderful team and I doubt Mourinho would be too anxious to break them up so soon.
I agree with all those qualities.. except "skilful" What skills does Drogba have ? Being able to adequately disguise when he handles the ball ? He also doesn't have the best ball control. But he hustles a lot.. I must say.

He is a hustler, no doubt about it. Certainly he's not a ballhandler in the sense of Sheva or Tevez or Ronaldinho or somebody like that. But I think he's underrated in that respect. He handles it well enough to power his way past defenders, as he did against Blackburn the other day, and find shots.
Was the one against Blackburn the 1 on 1 he fired into the roof of the net ? ..LOL if I remember correctly.. he tripped over the ball and got past the guy. Or something strange like that happened.

This isn't the first time we're being linked to Drogba. When we first sold Sheva, a couple of weeks later we were linked to Drogba and Crespo. Also, 38mill isn't happening for Drogba. He's not worth more than Sheva. Channel4 says it 21mill, which sound about right. Still, I can't be the judge of Oliveira's skills as I really don't know much about him so I can't say he's better or not but at least I know Drogba is a proven striker and I think he would be great at Milan. I would definitely pick Drogba over Robinho.

no, no ronaldo is the worst player in yhe world, but if he come in milan he will be the golden boot, but drogba is the player for us because he knows to use both legs and his head. THE BOY IS A KILLER

Yeah thats the one. In that situation i think gilardino would fall down looking for penalty. But finishing shot was brilliant.
His 2 goals of this season here:

I advise all of you to lay siege to the Millanelo headquarters if your club is even half serious about purchasing the DD a.k.a Dancing Donkey.
He is awful and offers nothing but a physical presence to a side. His ball control and positioning is pathetic and it'd be an insult to the rest of the Legends to grace the striker's jersey if Drogba was donning the famous Milan shirt. Take it from someone who has been following the Premiership religiously for the last decade or so, he is just an improved version of Emile Heskey and that doesn't say much does it!
20million quids.......you are having a laugh!:howler:
Giving up the English Student but to offer 20M pound for DD is an insult to Milan and its fans. Hope the management has better idea than this one.
I personaly like Didier Drogba, he is a powerful and quality striker. I wish also we could get Andriado who is not is his best shape but he is one of the best strikers in the world. A question why not buying two strikers?. Inter bought so many strikers, we dont need to play football manager but if you want to achieve your goals you must have plenty of good solutions. I think we must have bought Snejder to be a good replacement for our midfielders even play in some game in the starting squand. In Italy because in Cl he now cannot after playing with Kopenhang. I also agree that when selling Sheva we must have taken also Drogba or better Gallas, they know better. But think that is curious season we started without playing in Europe, we finally played qualifications games. I f we have the time the tranfer policy by sure will have been organized better as it happened in the past.
I would not be adverse to Drogba, not at all. Odd that he just happened to be in Milan, I mean did he just fly cause he was dying for authentic Italian cuisine. And Uncle happened to be at the same place, hmmm.

Imo Drogba is too slow, and I don't like his attitude, somehow it doesn't fit with the Milan image.

If 30m ,it means his price is same with sheva!!BUt the skill is too much different.
If milan must pay 30m for drogba,it's better if we don't buy any player
I hated Drogba when he first came to the Premiership. But now i have to admit he has alot of qualities. I also think alot of the people slating him here haven't got a clue as to what he's really like.
I don't know what position Drogba will play at Milan. He can't play as Sheva. And what about the price, na, P21M, not including Gilardino have to sit on the bench <Milan paid E24M, right?>. So Drogba would be the most expensive player in the world:D.
But I can't say anything, information in this summer makes me crazy, started from Ronaldinho, next was Torres, Sobis, and now drogba. And what is the date to day? 30 ne?
Imo Drogba is too slow, and I don't like his attitude, somehow it doesn't fit with the Milan image.
And how exactly does he not fit Milan image??? What would you count as Milan image?
Well, I guess you won't need to worry about that since it's not likely that the slave-driver Mourinho :googly: will let him go since we've crammed almost to the last day of the transfer season that there'll be no time to find a replacement for him at Chelsea.

... unless the replacement is already in London, negotiating his personal terms with Chelski :)

He'd play up front with Gilardino, that's where strikers usually play.

well, you never know ... with Dida refusing to extend his contract and Maldini about to retire :diablo:
Crikey Zlat, you can't say the "R" word next to Maldini ... you'll get lynched ! :rotfl:
Jim, haven't you realized Gilardino play terribly when he has to play with Inzaghi? The same thing will happen with Drogba. Gilardino only plays well when he is alone, or with a striker who has the same style with Sheva.
How do you know the same thing will happen with Drogba ? They could forge a beautiful striking partnership. Who knows.
Anyway, we won't get Drogba so it's irrelevant.
So we all we compete in Millanelo to take the place of a Milan's stiker :5chore: :u56: :hihihi: :haha: :u125:
Let's finally take another one striker, we have different opinions but we can evaluate him in the pitch!!.

I just saw the movie Invincible and im honestly dreaming of Ancelotti saying "Everyone is free to tryout at AC Milan". Movie inspired me! Im sure we'll find someone that can play better than Gila :P just kidding but seriously, im pretty sure we'll find a player than can be useful.
Gila was terrible last year or at least not what we expected, let's hope that that was because of Sheva's shadow. Anyway Gila type isn't of any good beside Inzaghi both are box players, we need to partner either of them with another striker that can go wide, drop deep, run fast, shot long and drible like a snake.
