Juventus’ match with Cesena has been postponed after two youth team players died in a tragic accident.
The Serie B Week 16 game was set to kick off at 20.00 UK time, 21.00 in Italy, but was called off just minutes before the team was set to take to the field.
The Stadio Olimpico in Turin scoreboard displayed a message noting that “Due to a serious accident that has struck Juventus, this match will not be played.”
There was confusion surrounding the reasons behind the decision, although police later confirmed that two Juventus youth team players have died.
The unfortunate victims of this tragic accident were forward Alessio Ferramosca and goalkeeper Riccardo Neri, both aged 17.
The teenagers drowned in a lake at the Vinovo training centre in Turin late this afternoon, apparently when trying to recover some footballs that had fallen into the water during the team's Christmas party.
Cesena accepted the request to postpone the match, although there is as yet no news as to when it will be rescheduled.
Just 17 years old, and gone just like that :(
May they both rest in peace

What I think is a bit confusing is why would they drown in an artificial lake? Unless it is 50 feet deep even along the shore?

The litlle artificial lake was deep allright. It's still not known how did they drown, but according to one Juve official the little lake is fenced. The two guys climbed the fencing to retrieve those balls and had fallen on the iced lake.
R.I.P !
I am very sorry about this two young players, but isn't in strange that this happened at juve?!?!? I mean this club is well known for match fixing, doping, strange transfers....and so on. After Pesotto "incident" anything is possible there....How could a couple of 17 year olds drown??????? juve will never change....Riccardo Meli and Alessio Ferramosca RIP

Yes, after all the fixing and doping now they are even killing their young players and make attempts of killing their former players :rollani:
Imo, these two poor lads knew something about Moggi fixing matches and he ordered 2 ex-KGB guys to kill the 2 boys. ( the same KGB guys who trew Pessottino out of the window).
For Christ sake , 2 young boys died and you're starting another conspiracy theory !

The sorry situation is that the players had to go themselves to collect the balls in some lake. Doesn't Juve have employees to do that kind of stuff.
Really sorry for the lads. May their souls rest in peace.
That's an extremely sad situation..may they rest in peace indeed.

condolences to their loved ones

because of this tragedy we should cover our heads with sand and be quiet?
No! The football italy waited for god knows how long to start investigating illegal activities in juve and other clubs. it has gone too far now, dead bodies are coming out. You believe what you want but there have been killings for les money in the past....IMO they are capable of anything. I really hope i am wrong here, it's just a weird coincidence

It's not the place to joke, or quote things like these. I know Juve have their history of cheating, and such but to believe they killed their players is wrong.
Forget about the club they play for. Show some compassion for their families.
RIP.

stop with the conspiracy theorys El Fre yes juve cheated and they have payed the price. it could be looked as a bit heartless what your saying yes we dont like juve sometimes hey thats football but as far as killing two youth players thats ridiculose now show some compasion on the matter. i dont meen to have a go but i felt i had to say somthing.
thanx
you people got me all wrong...I AM SORRY!and IAM SHOWING COMPASSION!
but all i am saying it's weird...italian football is filled with mafia (milan included) a lot of money is at stake so all i am saying i wouldn't be suprised if they are capable of murder to cover it up.

Ok... guys let me try to be fair and hear this guy out. Unfortunately I think your a$$ will still get burned El Fre-O. But lets be fair and play along.
Yes it is possible that it was the Mafia who had these 2 youngins murdered and covered it all up. Strange??? Of course we would have hoped that you could kindly tell us the whole scheme of it all. When you say "Mafia" to whom are you referring to? You have names here buddy? Which Mafia? OH... let us not forget that you've come to this suspicion in your head, yet your :hammer: head :hammer: cant think too deep for a motive. You theorize a motive yet? We sure like to hear it. Anytime sweatheart.
I am very sorry about this two young players, but isn't in strange that this happened at juve?!?!?
Let me be fair again and take this in. Why would this be strange? If it happen in Milan or anywhere else, are telling me it would not be "strange".
How could a couple of 17 year olds drown???????
I dont know??? Why dont you try fall in a lake in sub zero cold weather and see what happens. :hammer:
So it is possible that the Mafia did this. Yet they must not be too smart if people like you got them all figured out already. I mean they REALLY GOT TO BE DUMB if you know, cause if you know I'm sure the good law enforcement folks out there must know too.
Reaching is perhaps the word I'm seeking out in what you are saying. Is it "possible" even so SLIGHTLY for you to accept that it was an accident?
Now I would say that your reasoning is cr@p, but that would be a compliment cause at least cr@p is something. What you have created was something out of totally nothing in that head of yours. It is sad enough that this event happened at these special times, but your thinkning just goes and kills the Christmas spirit. See. I told you that you'd get burned.
