2 Juve Youth Players Die in Tragic Accident

Source: http://www.channel4.com/sport/footba...ia/dec15t.html

Quote:
Juventus’ match with Cesena has been postponed after two youth team players died in a tragic accident.

The Serie B Week 16 game was set to kick off at 20.00 UK time, 21.00 in Italy, but was called off just minutes before the team was set to take to the field.

The Stadio Olimpico in Turin scoreboard displayed a message noting that “Due to a serious accident that has struck Juventus, this match will not be played.”

There was confusion surrounding the reasons behind the decision, although police later confirmed that two Juventus youth team players have died.

The unfortunate victims of this tragic accident were forward Alessio Ferramosca and goalkeeper Riccardo Neri, both aged 17.

The teenagers drowned in a lake at the Vinovo training centre in Turin late this afternoon, apparently when trying to recover some footballs that had fallen into the water during the team's Christmas party.

Cesena accepted the request to postpone the match, although there is as yet no news as to when it will be rescheduled.
Just 17 years old, and gone just like that

May they both rest in peace

What I think is a bit confusing is why would they drown in an artificial lake? Unless it is 50 feet deep even along the shore?

The litlle artificial lake was deep allright. It's still not known how did they drown, but according to one Juve official the little lake is fenced. The two guys climbed the fencing to retrieve those balls and had fallen on the iced lake.

R.I.P !

I am very sorry about this two young players, but isn't in strange that this happened at juve?!?!? I mean this club is well known for match fixing, doping, strange transfers....and so on. After Pesotto "incident" anything is possible there....How could a couple of 17 year olds drown??????? juve will never change....Riccardo Meli and Alessio Ferramosca RIP

Yes, after all the fixing and doping now they are even killing their young players and make attempts of killing their former players

Imo, these two poor lads knew something about Moggi fixing matches and he ordered 2 ex-KGB guys to kill the 2 boys. ( the same KGB guys who trew Pessottino out of the window).

For Christ sake , 2 young boys died and you're starting another conspiracy theory !

The sorry situation is that the players had to go themselves to collect the balls in some lake. Doesn't Juve have employees to do that kind of stuff.

Really sorry for the lads. May their souls rest in peace.

because of this tragedy we should cover our heads with sand and be quiet?

No! The football italy waited for god knows how long to start investigating illegal activities in juve and other clubs. it has gone too far now, dead bodies are coming out. You believe what you want but there have been killings for les money in the past....IMO they are capable of anything. I really hope i am wrong here, it's just a weird coincidence

It's not the place to joke, or quote things like these. I know Juve have their history of cheating, and such but to believe they killed their players is wrong.

Forget about the club they play for. Show some compassion for their families.
RIP.
