Zlat has posted something about this, but it wasn't confirmed by then. Let's see if Milan have any announcements to make about this.
I hope to god. means they have some forward planning in place.
Non-eu. Let me say again, non-eu. We are not in a position to sign non-eu players as reserve keepers when the ones we should sign would be worldclass attacking players.

kris, Carrizo has already signed for Lazio and will play for them next season ... that article however suggests that Milan helped lazio finalize the deal on condition that Milan can later on - when Dida's time at Milan is over - sign Carrizo for a pre-set transfer fee.
Then Carrizo would a "communitario" as non-EU players already playing for Italian clubs are known in Italy.

Carrizo his name sorta sounds italian. Any chance they could use the old " ah my granddad was from italy" and get him a italian passport :)
No need to. If we have an agreement to sign him from Lazio, then he doesn't need one.

i mean in the sense that even though he would join from lazio, he would still take a non-eu spot. A italian passport would be better for us so we have another spot free.

No mention of this is on acmilan.com. Until then, any report of his "having already (snort) signed with Milan" is bogus.
He's not with Lazio either; he isn't in the roster on the Lazio Wiki entry or on the official site.

Carrizo is mentioned as a Lazio player now on Channel 4, and is also due to get an Italian passport as his ancestors came from Piedmont, so it puts the EU ruling out of the window. Whether we get him to replace Dida is another thing, as there's plenty of occassions were we had an agreement to sign a player, but didn't in the end.

This buisness seems shady for some reason. Lazio would just give up Carizzo, for a small transfer fee, when Dida is finished in Milan. i dunno but it doesn't seem likely Lazio would just ship him out for money later on, especially if he plays extremely well for Lazio.

Timo Hildebrand (28yo, Stuttgart)
I like German GK. He is the best German GK. Milan should consider him also.
Wasn't he just transferred from Stuttgart to Valencia???

With his move to Lazio being off, what happens to the Milan-Carrizo link (if there ever was one)?
Wasn't he just transferred from Stuttgart to Valencia???
Yes he was.
I guess it'll depend on whether Carizzo can eventually get Italian citizenship and if he doesn't, whether we're willing to spend our Non-EU spot to get him.

or if we are so keen on him indeed, with Amelia close to leaving, Livorno could use a new keeper this year ... if we manage to find a place for Carizzo at another Italian club, we won't need him to have a EU pass

carrizo stinks, if we need a goalie we have no time being a top European club and having no back up what so ever, if it's going to be a goalie we buy, then it has to be either buffon, cech blahblahblah, or keep dida for another yr and get some1 like amelia.
Carrizo is a better prospect than Amelia and we won't get either Buffon or Cech.

Then better off keeping Dida, if we get a young goalie he needs playing time, Dida will leave if he gets less then some 20-28 yo gk, and leave, leaving us with a great unexperience behind our defense for both CHAMPIONS LEAGUE seria a etc.

Carizzo is a GREAT GK and has saved River Plate on many occasions. I have no idea from what you are basing your opinion but I'll even go as far as to say that everyone besides you thinks that he's pretty good.

Have you watched his matches? How many matches have you seen? You can say a player is bad or good but please give some reason(s) and proof(s). :)

He was hands down the best GK in Argentina during the last couple of seasons, but now he is having a terrible season after going back to River (from Lazio). He has no support whatsover from his teammates.
