Non-eu. Let me say again, non-eu. We are not in a position to sign non-eu players as reserve keepers when the ones we should sign would be worldclass attacking players.

kris, Carrizo has already signed for Lazio and will play for them next season ... that article however suggests that Milan helped lazio finalize the deal on condition that Milan can later on - when Dida's time at Milan is over - sign Carrizo for a pre-set transfer fee.
Then Carrizo would a "communitario" as non-EU players already playing for Italian clubs are known in Italy.

Carrizo his name sorta sounds italian. Any chance they could use the old " ah my granddad was from italy" and get him a italian passport

i mean in the sense that even though he would join from lazio, he would still take a non-eu spot. A italian passport would be better for us so we have another spot free.

No mention of this is on acmilan.com. Until then, any report of his "having already (snort) signed with Milan" is bogus.
He's not with Lazio either; he isn't in the roster on the Lazio Wiki entry or on the official site. |

Carrizo is mentioned as a Lazio player now on Channel 4, and is also due to get an Italian passport as his ancestors came from Piedmont, so it puts the EU ruling out of the window. Whether we get him to replace Dida is another thing, as there's plenty of occassions were we had an agreement to sign a player, but didn't in the end.

This buisness seems shady for some reason. Lazio would just give up Carizzo, for a small transfer fee, when Dida is finished in Milan. i dunno but it doesn't seem likely Lazio would just ship him out for money later on, especially if he plays extremely well for Lazio.
