roma vs MILAN

Ok we just beat atalanta. I hope Pato's injury isnt serous but like others have said most probably wont be with us for ManU.

Roma losing to Panathinakos and drawing to Napoli hopefully has gotten their self belief down a lot. I feel like we can go to their house and come home with a 1-0 2-1 win.

Now with your permission i would like my parthner in crime Geo to do his magic cuz i did mine and we will see if the dynamic duo can continue to get us wins.

Get in here Geo....

PS my front 3 for this game is Mancini-----H11---------R80
and no bonera on defense. Flamini and Ambro middle. And the rest our normals..

LoL im so sorry but i really did not enjoy this win. And R80 should give a few PK to some others like people have said. I love the PK kickers that hit hard and fast. When you stutter step too much on the way to goal it feels like the % of making the goal drops big time.

Ill call Leo on his cell soon as im done with this post.

I'm glad Thiago isn't suspended for this. He was on a yellow today.

The midfield will most likely be Flamini-Pirlo-Ambro, which is probably our best three right now.

Mancini, based on what Leo said, will probably replace Pato for Roma. Or maybe Abate? I'm sure Borri will start, with Huntelaar coming on in the second. The big question is LB, RB. Should we stick with Bonera/Jankulovski? Where's Zambrotta?

After 26 games played, here is the integral table:

1st - Inter (58 pts)
2nd - Milan (54 pts)
3rd - Roma (51 pts)
4th - Palermo (43 pts)
5th - Juventus (41 pts)
6th - Napoli (41 pts)
7th - Sampdoria (40 pts)
8th - Cagliari (38 pts)
9th - Genoa (38 pts)
10th - Fiorentina (35 pts)
11th - Chievo (35 pts)
12th - Parma (33 pts)
13th - Bari (32 pts)
14th - Bologna (31 pts)
15th - Catania (27 pts)
16th - Udinese (27 pts)
17th - Lazio (26 pts)
18th - Livorno (23 pts)
19th - Atalanta (21 pts)
20th - Siena (20 pts)

06/03/10 - 18:00
Fiorentina - Juventus

06/03/10 - 20:45
Roma - Milan

07/03/10 - 15:00
Sampdoria - Lazio
Palermo - Livorno
Bologna - Napoli
Cagliari - Catania

07/03/10 - 20:45
Inter - Genoa

- Predicting a result in the Roma-Milan game is like playing lottery this time, as we don't know who will play, we don't know how they will feel some days before our win in Manchester, etc ... I unfortunately think that could end by a draw, probably pleasing both teams.

- I think Inter will draw against Genoa too ... Genoa is a B team of Inter now (with their trades of players) and if they want to still have a chance to end 4th, they must win or draw in the worst case. I don't see Inter losing, so it's written a draw all over !!

- Fiorentina - Juventus should allow Fiorentina to have a last chance of ending 4th and will give them some confidence before their game against Bayern. Yes, I expect Fiorentina to put Juventus in crisis again because Bianconeri are a boring team with a boring coach (0-2, the guy sends on the pitch his best two attacking weapons: Zebina and Grosso).

- Sampdoria, Napoli and Cagliari will have to win too ... while Palermo will have to play to keep their 4th position, it will be interesting to see how they play by being the hunted team.

And to finish, I think it is interesting to put the schedule of the Top 3 teams. Roma, Inter and Milan will have a tough battle in the next few games. Here are their next 5 games ...

Inter (3 hard games, I could include Catania as it will be just some days before their game against Chelsea):
- Genoa (H)
- Catania (A)
- Palermo (A)
- Livorno (H)
- Roma (A)

Milan (2 hard games, especially the one against Roma that will be very important for the near future in Serie A and also because of the fact that this game comes just some days before the one against Manchester):
- Roma (A)
- Chievo (H)
- Napoli (H)
- Parma (A)
- Lazio (H)

Roma (probably the most interesting schedule between the 3 top teams as they will receive both Milan and Inter and play, between these two games, against teams in trouble ... and they're out of the Europa League):
- Milan (H)
- Livorno (A)
- Udinese (H)
- Bologna (A)
- Inter (H)

Nothing else to say !!

Fiorentina 1-2 Juventus

06/03/10 - 20:45
Roma 0-0 Milan

07/03/10 - 15:00 Being played right now
Sampdoria - Lazio
Palermo - Livorno
Bologna - Napoli
Cagliari - Catania

07/03/10 - 20:45
Inter - Genoa

I think this draw won't be too bad IF Roma beats Inter ... yes, people will say "if they play like against us, they will lose for sure" etc etc etc, but Roma hasn't lost for ... I don't remember how many games (and they had X victories in a row), and that means something. We can't say "they are bad" because we were clearly better yesterday, didn't we play bad against Inter ? Does that mean that we played bad against other teams ? I don't think so.

PS: Don't forget that two teams we beat 3-0 managed to beat Inter ...

Bologna should have been able to score a third goal in the last minute (De Sanctis being in the middle of the pitch) but the referee whistled an offside, I don't know how it was possible as a defender of Napoli was in front of his own goal ? If someonecan explain me ... And I wanted to watch Napoli for once against a small team to see if they play like against the big ones, and it's a totally different team (except in the last minutes of the game).

Genoa has to win now if they want to stay in the race for the European competitions ... and allow us not to lose 2 points this W-E !!

I'm not surprised about this at all, because Ambrosini doesn't fit in Lippi's system.

There is no system at the moment that would favor an off form player over an on form player!! simple as that

As much as I love Gattuso,he doesnt have the legs to play WC football, sadly. Ambro too is an old player but his positioning gives him the edge ove Gattuso atm, since Rino is very depended on stamina, pace and power!

it's not just about positioning, Ambro is actually a FOOTBALL PLAYER!!!
i have no clue what Gattuso is

As for the formation for Roma, i have to say that i am with a 4-3-1-2 as well.
i think Dinho is at a level where he can produce no matter where u put him and i would love to see Huntelaar & a partner ahead of the OT match

We can beat any team in Serie A, except Inter (only this season)

To some extend Roma has two 6 pts game in hand. If I am a Roma fan, I will be very excited about these coming fixtures . First they play against Milan with Totti and Toni both making a comeback that game. Then against Inter.

Honestly, I am happy that Gattuso, Bonera, Pirlo and Borri got called into the NT, but if Lippi tried to tire them out before the Roma game, I will hunt him down, hahahaa.

I do think the Roma game will be very very tough for Milan. But hopefully, Borri will once again show Lippi that he is the better man by outdueling Toni in that game and not vice versa.
