I tried find one for Kalac but I failed... So, I have no idea how great Kalac is, but at least you may have a better idea about Dida.

I think I have always been unequivocal when talking about Dida.

He is a keeper who gets scapegoated, but recently he has done little to silence his critics.

I don't think Kalac is much better than Dida. However, he fills me with slightly more confidence, and considering how joy in Serie A has been at a premium this year, I'll take anything.

BMW I know you like Dida, and I think personal attacks on him are unwarranted. But as a football fan I can critique his goalkeeping.

I think the only issue with Dida is that he makes some stupid mistakes that a mediocre GK will make. But that doesn't mean that he is a poor GK. Overall, he gives me a lot more confidence than Kalac.

It's easy to judge a player (GK or not) based on one or two incidents, but it's not fair, because no one is perfect.

Football is not natural science in which F always equals MA. Football is more like a social science when they like to set the alpha level (of significance) to 0.05 (or 5%). That is, 95% I'm confident to say that Dida is better than Kalac. Does it mean that Dida is always better than Kalac in all situation? No, but Dida will be better than Kalac in 95 out of 100 situations, and I think that speaks why Dida is better than Kalac (and most of the other GK in the world).

Dida doesn't fill most people with confidence because you never know which Dida will show up. He's not very consistent. Also he's generally a good shot stopper(i.e. protect the ball from going into his net) and also has good reflexes. But his awareness as a keeper sometimes goes begging. e.g. where he chooses to punch a ball, his hesitance when a cross is coming in. That being said, I'd increase Jeff's average to 99% and say that Dida is 99% better than Kalac.

Now bad news...most of you have probably hear, but we reached an agreement with Buffon for a 6 million a year (4 year contract), but Berlu said no, and he chose to renew Dida's contract .

he has always been a Vampire type keeper...afraid of crosses...but he is not to blame...i think the mistakes are silly...he is not allowed to make mistakes as the keeper...other players make countless mistakes but we say nothing because it cost us nothing...my view is that we should be able to out score these little teams by 4 to 1..oops...we dont have any attacking force that can cover up Dida's mistakes....we did not buy any players dispite the fact that the Carlo knew the squad was week

If true (which is debatable) i honestly can't get my head around Berlusconi pulling out of a deal for Buffon. Why would you do that? So you could buy Pato & Emerson? EMERSON!!! Give me a break.

ONE OR TWO INCIDENTS try multiplying that by 10, only in the last 10 or so games.
