When Totti said something about leaving AS Roma to Milan or whatever team. He didnt really had the intention of leaving. He just wanted the board of AS Roma to take actions in bringing good players to the club. Totti is aiming for trophies with Roma. And we all saw how the board of the team responded when they brought chivu and I think they're gonna bring more players ( if they havent, cuz im not really following ) so there is no way Totti could leave Roma. he represents the identity of that team. like Del Piero in Juve. Maldini and Ambrosini in Milan

I have already metnioned this in another thread briefly but I rate this player very highly and he wouldn't cost that much.

He is a central midfield player but would complement Gattuso as he is more creative and a good passer of the ball. He sets up more goals and gets forward alot more, think of a lesser well known version of Patrick Vieira, but even taller and with greater strength.

He is still only 25 and has all the attributes of a great player. He wouldn't need to be our big signing, we could even offer players in exchange i.e. Laursen to Lens.

I think that when you think of him you are refering to his performance during the world cup.
In fact, like most of the senegalese players, he hasn't proved much since his short "explosion" where he was revelated.
He has been injured most of the time last season and played only 16 games out of 38, scoring 3 goals...He didn't help Lens who had a very disappointing season and now he had lost most of his credit.

My judgement on him is that he hasn't got the talent to play in a european top club, or at least not yet...Though it's true that he has some potential since he's only 25: wait and see if he can raise again to his former world cup level.
The interesting things about him are his physical abilities (1,94m , 98kg),impressive and very dynamic when he is at form.But on the other hand he's fragile (I think he has had recurring problems with his knee).And he hasn't developped enough his playing abilities (passing,vision) which in my opinion means that he is not complete enough to play in milan.

Anyway we don't need another more midfielder when we have Seedorf,Pirlo,Ringhio,Max,Brocchi and Redondo (not to mention the offensive ones).I think the chances we sign someone like him are =0.And we couldn't even swap players with Lens since none of our players would accept to sign for them.
Frankly I think you overrate Diop a lot.
