Rex...unfortunately, Antartica has no indigenous inhabitants, only seasonally staffed research stations (20 something). All nations using it signed the Antartica Treaty. It is administrated by the member states. Thus no inhabitants means no citizens means you cannot be a citizen of Antartica and you cannot be based in Antartica unless you are a member state doing government research. i.e. No companies. More over, if you are working in Antartica you are still under your nations legal system: U.S., German, etc. Thus you can't avoid taxes...even in Antartica!

By the way, I know this because more than one client has called me with this "brilliant" idea that they found a way to avoid paying business taxes (by setting up a co. in Antartica!)

Well Billy I once had noticed on TV about doing research from staff which are signed as you said...in Antartica Treaty. What makes me wonder is in which of part we can't avoid taxes?Is something such as paying taxes to our homeland government, visa, pasport or..

Basically Rex if you are from Japan or the U.S. and working on a research station in Antartica then you are paying taxes to your home nation..U.S. or Japan...there are no citizens of Antartica.

The best place is Monaco where you pay a small amount to the Monarchy but are not taxed on revenue or capital gains. However, while it is a tax haven only very distinct few are citizens of Monaco. Actors, athletes and Billionaires are turned down every year for citizenship. Most F1 high profile drivers are citizens as it has always been a tradition to offer them citizenship. However, local governments are wary of this tax "loophole".

Is that true that most people in Canada doesn't lock their home's doors?

Hahah I remember that documentary...yes there is a WORLD of difference between Canada and the U.S. in some aspects and NO difference in other aspects.
We are not as paranoid and SCARED of "evil doers" and don't panic easily. Yes we do lock our doors..I do anyways. BUT if I am home then I don't usually lock my door...in the documentary someone was home..which is a right assessement.
We have free nation wide healthcare for everyone regardless of stature but at the same time we don't have the same opportunities like working for Microsoft in Seattle or Bank of America in New York City
oh yeah and the weather pretty much sucks here!

Yes very true..it is almost impossible to buy land..actually you can't because it is all owned by the Monarchy and you are basically leasing it from them for 70 years (or something) but for the price of a purchase. The good part is that you pay a minimal fee for services but no taxes. However, your nation of origin where you do business will NAIL you if you spend more time there than Monaco.

Basically I went to Monte Carlo with friends and the cheapest restaurant was like 100 US a person.

Pay minimum service, lease the land we want..this place such as heaven...or it might be some actors/actresses, sportsmen, billionaires avoid taxes should they pay in their home nation...and turn down the citizenship..what a life..
