Fantasy Signings: Players Milan Should Buy

Interesting discussion about Gerrard and players in england guys. im a bit late for it though Anyway about Gerrard, he has alot of great things about him like his passing, shooting, crossing, pace, tackling. Infact hes pretty much good at every thing, but I personally dont think he will ever be one of the best mids in europe. Hes a central midfielder, but hes not a DM or a playmaker. He's somewhere in between and this will really affect how much success he will have in his career. You cant build a team aound a player like that which is why Liverpool are so crap. Players like Gatusso, Davids etc have one main aim and thats to crush the other teams attacks which they do unbelievably well. Anything else is a bonus. Gerrard on the other hand makes some breath taking tackles here and there, but thats it. Offensively theres no way he can be compared to players like Rui Costa who at Gerrard's age was 10 times better. Honesty, there must be so many players in Europe who I would chose ahead of Gerrard based on attacking play.
Gerrard could only play for a team who adopt a similar system to milan's where he would play in a similar role to Seedorf. If he in the middle, you would either be missing a DM or a playmaker.

I actually think that you underestimate Gerrard....I know that in the Euro's she hasnt shown his true attacking ability, but if you have watched Liverpool this season, and I pitty you for it, then you would have seen on a number of occassions Gerrard driving forward from the midfield and single handedly scoring vital goals that hauled liverpool into the fourth position; without Gerrard they wouldnt have done this! Without doubt. Its true he isnt a defensive Midfielder or an attacking midfielder, as you say he is complete, which is why in my opinion he offers so much more and can be the key to any midfield.

i'd say i agree with you all mostly,on matter of Gerard. he has teriffic game last season(2003-2004).but do we really need Gerard?,is he be able to adapt in Milan squad?,what position he'll be playing for?.that are my question about this Gerard for Milan matter.
because i'll say we rather find 2/3 young players(age under-21),with potential same as Gerard,price a lot cheaper than him,if it's possiblle an Italian .

I think we need an offensive full back (as a Cafu replacement) and IMO he's Mancini (AS Roma), he can play as a right winger and also as a full back, very versatile player and also he's still young.

but do we really need Gerard?,is he be able to adapt in Milan squad?,what position he'll be playing for?.that are my question about this Gerard for Milan matter.

I don't think we need worry about it anymore as hje has just pledged his future to Liverpool, for a few years or so...

Well, i watched quite a bit of Liverpool this season and yes he was great. One of the best players in the premiership this season, but i dont under rate him. hes an exceptional talent with all the physical characteristics to succeed. My point however was that hes a difficult player to accomodate. the only postion I see him playing well in, with his team winning consistantly is in a Seedorf style role in a milan like system. Liverpool have played a 442 where he can not play. Hes not a winger, not a DM and not a playmaker so where does he play. Rafa Benitez used Baraja and Abelda as DM's in the centre with wingers. If he deicides to us Gerrard in a similar role, all be it with more liscence to go forward, I just cant see it working.

Milanista ID i really like mancini, I personally think hes the perfect guy to replace cafu as hes already done once

I think we need M.Barosh!!!! He is an excellent striker! What do you think about him aaaaaaa... I think we can get him. I also opened a thread in this forum about him you can post me there!

Hes ok, there are alot better players than him though.

these guy the real dream signing for Milan,because it can only happen in a dream .

This is deffinitely a better option than Torres, I think. Baros is cheaper, almost as young, and I believe is more of a Seie A type player than Torres who seemed more worried about his new haircut than his scoring touch in the Euro finals.
I would say let's go for Baros and Cassano instead of that Totti troublemaker-of-a-guy - if are to g for both Serie A and Cl this year we are going to need them both.

I agree with you Zlatanov!! We can get him instead of Torres and Totti. We can get also Cassano but we must kick of one striker for example Pippo who is super striker too. that is a problem.
