my suggestion:

(1) i believe u can't gather too many milan fans at the early stage, i guess the most 10-20. i dun think the restaurant are willing to work with u if they're only so few of them. wat i suggest is we gather all serie a fans (i can contact inter fan club) and if we manage to gather let say 50 and above (gradually more will join in) than we can negotiate with pasta fresca to work out something together (even if they dun show serie a now)? i know u guys dun like inter fans but for the good of serie a, let's bare with it. it will benefits all of us, be it inter, juve, roma or milan fans.

(2) if pasta fresca are not keen, u may want to check with the italian boss is there any italian association (or gathering) in singapore. we may try to contact them and u dunno, they might have contact with some italian restaurants or clubs who might be keen to work out something with us?

maybe u can ask if they can open a milan club house and we as members prepared to pay a certain amount for subscription montly or yearly..and also if there is somehow a way to gain access to milan channel so that they can focus on all milan matches and other info's regarding milan..then the amnt we pay also will be well worth is it too much? lol

well, this is just my opinion... as long as we get to watch the match and enjoy ourself, that would be fine..

Aren't Milan Channel matches in Italian? If then then it's not a good idea... I think SCV, all Indonesian channels and normal channels will be enough... Unless it's a really low-profile match that isn't really covered like the Berlusconi Cup or TIM Cup. If we want an overseas channel I suggest Rupert Murdoch's Sky Italia(I think it's quite new). It should be in English as it is owned by Murdoch...

In this EPL-orientated country, it is very hard for Serie A fans (i dont think the number will be any lesser than the EPL fans) to find a decent pub/restaurant/bar/kopitiam to sit down,relax, chill out and enjoy a good match of serie A team showdown in the heart of Singapore. So i would like to take this opportunity to ask Pasta Fresca whether you guys are able to recommend a gathering place for serie A fans to gather and watch pure, mama-mia Italian football just like what those EPL fans have been doing all this while. Be it the outlet @ siglap or the one @ east coast (though i prefer the one at sixth ave/buikt timah)..i hope Pasta Fresca could set up a place for us Italian Serie A fans to meet up and rejoice at the spectecular football display by the 20 Serie A teams. I myself am a AC Milan fan *forza milan!!* and there are tons out there just like me wanting a gathering place so that we could all live, breathe, spectate and enjoy "the beautiful game" with the company of the milanistas. We all know Inter has their own Inter Fan club...so i was hoping the Rosseneri Fan club will surface in no time. The first step is for us to set a gathering place and this we would need your help. We have gathered quite a number of milanistas from the milanmania forum and we are willing to do anything to get this project done; meaning if we have to pay a lump sum for a whole season of pure italian serie A matches(preferbly Milan matches), we will be willing. Although just earning us milanista's money would'nt seem profitable to you and if you do not segregate fans of different clubs so that they can enjoy the company of their fellow supporters would not be appealing to the fans, how about this: Since you have 7 restaurants in total and not all are suitable for screening of matches, you could maybe point out those more-famous clubs like Juve, Inter, Lazio, Roma and not forgetting Milan to be featured in your 5 other outlets (mainly east coast, bukit timah, siglap, pasir panjang and boat quay) that are more suitable due to the ability to go open-air dining. With different club fans being designated to your different outlet, your comapny will be able to reap a greater amount of profits week-in week-out while we fans will be more than happy to see your company catering to our Serie A cum pasta-starved appetite. If there is any more info you need us to gather in order to make this proposal a success, we will be more than willing to help if its within my ability. This is purely a non-profitable business for us but to be able to make Singapore diversify on the football media scene and realising the dreams of the milanistas in Singapore..its worthwhile. Hope you can provide us the first step towards our dreams. Thank you for your time in reading this.

That said, our advertisement on cable is as you would agree purely commercial, that is to say, we are looking to reach out to as many customers as possible. Besides Italian Serie, we also advertise on other channels like AXN, Discovery, SuperSports, VV Drama, CNN and Cartoon Network. SCV makes available all channels to households and that is how we hope to reach the larger market. Your suggestion of having a television set - presumably at least 29 " - may serve a select group of customers but there are also the attendent long term costs for us. We have a big projection television at our East Coast outlet where you and your friends can catch the latest matches. However, it is not practicable for us to install a television set at all outlets, bearing in mind that customers go to our restaurant for a variety of reasons. The excitement caused by such matches may "disturb" the tranquility of the smaller restaurants and attract complaints, or worse, loss of custom. The idea of a fan club at Pasta Fresca may be attractive but it may make other customers feel excluded if they are not into soccer. As you would agree, there are other interest groups and children may by this logical extension request for cable television at our outlets to form a cartoon club, and others may yet request for the formation of a club to watch wild life at our restaurants. how about we approach italy embassy to check whether there are any italian association or club in singapore (i believe they will have usual gathering somewhere). we try to get some contacts and maybe those italians know where to hang out for serie a games?

or we could also check with italy embassy are there any italians who set-up restaurants or pubs in singapore than we can contact them directly to work out something?

haha...YEA!..we shud not give up...i will try and find the number for the embassy and contact the pple there loh....and demouse is right...the italians
DEF will know where to hang out for the matches..but lets hope its not their own house
