DEv, i don't understand why he isn't necessary? Ronaldinho is one of the few players who would be able to take us to a higher level. Can't you see how much we struggle against closed defences?

imagine when we struggle against Messina or Livorno, then Ronaldinho ridiculises a defender and put Sheva in front of the goal. He make life hard for Nesta and maldini, for every other defender in Italy he would be simply unmarkable.

It's time, as we did signing Kaką, to improve our game, which slowly is becoming PREDICTABLE. We must find new ways, or every closed team will be a threat

Ronaldino is the most talanted player out there, with enormous momentum behind him. Different from Ronaldo, Ronaldino's lowest level of play is still pretty high. But with that rediculous buy-out clause we will never get our hands on him.

First of all I shall never sack Rui. I still wonder what does Ancelotti think keeping such star as Rui is on the bench?!
IMO Dinho is not for sale. Barca needs him more then money.

Ultimatley possession is what lost the game, Milan, regardless of whether they were trying to kill off the game or not, should have possessed the ball and passed like Carlo teams do.. Serginho was dismal as was Kaka. No name is midfield, except Gattusso, seemed honestly committed to keeping the ball.. Long balls, stupid clearances, and KK's constant passes into the middle of the park during Barca periods of attack led to Milan's predictablity.

Wingers is not a system used by Carlo, though I think Figo in January would be excellent as would Ronnie because he was showing that he was more then able to play the left hand side. Milan is struggling [relativley] because Kaka is not possessing the ball nor is anyone else, Rino is winning the ball, but no one is using what he wins. The Barca-Milan game is not a good way to analyze a team, nor is a win, draws [deserved ones] are the best because you get to see positives and negatives without the bias of a loss or win..

Midfield possession is key, and Milan has the players to do it, if they want to vary the attack I say Figo in January, and if possible, Ronnie. I would also take Roma's Gaetano D'Agostino whose brilliance on the left is awesome. This is espiecially poignant due to the fact we bought a big tall forward in Crespo, and without wingers [though Cafu and Pancaro/KK do provide crosses] crosses are not exactly used.

Not completely confident in my post, but I hope to add something to the reasoning and perhaps alternatives to such a high profile move if the aforementioned move does not occur. Cheers.

Gattuso will be having nightmares about Ronaldinho for a while as he got destroyed by him. He looked good, is good, but Milan's defensive attitude last night made Ronaldinho look xtra-good.

We had a chance to get him a few years ago, but Galliani wanted him for free. He got sold to PSG and the rest is history.

i'm sure everyone is realistic enough to know that this transfer has about a 90% chance of not happening, however it doesn't mean we should just give up on it. If you're many millions of euros in debt, you have to sell something to balance the books. You can't carry on running a business with such a deficit and if it's not to be Ronaldinho, then they must sell some of their other players to make up for it.

But that's if that figure is to be believed. These buyout clauses are always there to scare off other clubs, it doesn't mean they're always 100% true. So lets be realistic, but not negative ... it could happen

Do you think we can afford to keep a sevral million waged player on the bench for many years? This is a waste of money, not the Ronaldinho signing, a fresh investiment on a young champion which will pay off in some years time

Well, I think we have more than enough already to be at the highest level. Ronaldinho would make us better, but I think even without his presence we have more than enough to win every trophy this year, which is how I come to the conclusion he is not a necessity.

As for the predictable play, I don't think that its because our players are falling into any kind of routine that needs a shake up with a new signing. Personally, I would say were still far from our best and urge you to wait till the second half of the season to see what this side will produce (lets not forget its our policy to try and preserve as much energy as we can for the second half of the season to avoid burnout).

The weakness I fear at the moment in the side is the lack of a consistent partner for Sheva, but again its worth waiting and seeing what happends.

Simply put, I agree Ronaldinho is brilliant and would add a spark to the side. However, we already have players who can provide us with more than enough, meaning he isn't needed.

IMO, Ronaldinho is the best player on the planet, and the only players I wouldnt sell/trade to get him are: Sheva, Nesta, Kaka, Pirlo and Colo. (Maldini is obviously not included in this list, as he isnt even considered as a possible sale/trade).

But really, no one else, not Rui, whom I rate highly, not Seedorf who is one of my favourite players when he is on form, and certainly not Gatusso, (and so on and so forth) would be exempt from being sold/traded for the bucktooth genius from Brazil!

He would make an immediate impact, and if truth be told, and Barca cant afford his wages, then Berlu, I say bring him right on over, and as long as those 6 untouchables are not sold, I will be as happy as a lark.

Ok, back to reality, the odds for him coming in January are impossible to consider, and over the summer? Who knows, anything is possible in this wonderful world of international football. If Barca's debts are pressing, chances of him arriving are excellent, seeing as how Galliani has been singing his praises recently, worse he went and scored against us...hmmmm how many players have we bought that scored against us in big matches?
