All what you say is true.
But why don't we buy a PURE world class central midfield then instead of Ronaldinho?

I said world class central midfield, not central defense.
We are fine in defense.

let me check

we have

PIRLO
SEEDORF
GATTUSO
AMBROSINI
DHORASOO
RUI COSTA
BROCCHI
SERGINHO

we are going to sign SOLARI in place of ageing Sergio and maybe a good right winger such as MESTO

Maybe we don't need a mid now, but we must take a look for the future..Still think Maniche is an excellent player..but i don't see us signing any mid till june at least, if not in 2 seasons time

Of those players I see Serginho, Rui Costa and maybe Ambrosini leaving in June. So we should go for 2-3 new midfielders....and world class ones plz.
1.Solari
2.Maniche, if not possible Albelda from Valenica would be fine too.
3.Mesto is more a Cafu sub/successor than a midfielder.

I'd just once like to see how a complete "ex-PrimeraDivision" central midfield embedded in the typical Milan high quality "rest of the team" would perform:
Dida
Cafu Nesta Stam Pancaro
Seedorf Albelda Solari
Kaka
Shevchenko Crespo

well the point is his contract with madrid..it's not that easy but he's the man recognised to play in serginho's place if he becomes a free agent

the interest is sure, we have to see if he will accept a minor role in madrid with a lowered wage..perez has offered hima contract, if someone wants him must offer him a better one

there's just one thing is think is wrong: Mesto is more a winger, actually where he's always been used in Italian NT..maybe he's good enough to adapt playing in a defensive role, but i've always seen him playing as a winger and he was always excellent..

all the other wingers are overpriced compared to the use we would do of him..

***ANYWAY WE ARE OFF TOPIC!!!!****

IF footbaqll is such a simple matter as in acquiring these 'PURE' world class player, then do you think Berlusconi or Moratti (oh maybe) or Moggi or ANY OTHER PRESIDENT or VICE PRESIDENT or SCOUT or COACHES won't know about this?

Why don't Berlusconi spend so much on Nedved then? Since he is PURE world class?

1) He doesn't have the money.

Answer: Crap.

2) He doesn't want Nedved.

Answer: Who wouldn't want him?

3) He can't.

Answer: YES! HE CAN"T! BELIEVE IT! Wec an't buy Nedved just like Chelsea can't buy Shevchenko! That's why I say be realistic. THis is NOT CM. it's not like you have 60M and you can give him a goddamn contract to get him here. If You don't give away your shevchenko away, why the he$$ do you think people will give player to you?

ANd so, why the he$$ would you (not bayman) believe that Ronaldinho would come?

Now coming back to this, I guess the answer is clear. At the same time, we should not be quick to put the blame on some individual players to write them off, simply because they are not PURE class.

Remember. The team makes the PURE class, not the player.

Hypothetical situation: If Nedved is in Hong Kong playing lousy league, do you think he will be considered a PURE world class?

Players up to that level of Milan, Juve, Inter etc all have certain class. It's up to the tactician, the management to bring the "PURE" in themselves.

That is, if you insist on the word 'pure'.

Like it or not, having enough defence capacity or not, that's the fact bout

pirlo's position in Milan : as a connector between the defender and midfielder

(nowadays he's position called as 'deep maker').

Always infront the two centre backs (maldini & sheva).

That makes pirlo decrease his agressivity and become more static. Look, all

the game he often gave long pass from backyard or midfield for counter

attack.

And Kaka? Carlo's strategy give him more chance to play around. The free

role!!More time to playing ball on his feet and take a chance for through

pass. Less risk if he fail then becomes turnover to the opposite. The

trequarista job!! That makes Kaka being the actor of team.

If Pirlo the deep maker then Kaka become the playmaker

But, Pirlo had big contribution too for Milan's posessions so far.

However, Football is a team that supported by 11 players in field not a man

contribution even the playmaker one.

WoW...
I like to argue this statement.
If ur statement above is true, that makes a player so impossible to uprise a mediocre team becomes the best team(a winner).
Check out in italian serie A latest of 80's.
What the magic a Football's God did in Napoli?
Napoli only bought him and Maradona pay back cash with scudetto for the north italian club.Maradona out then Napoli out from Serie A favourite winner.
in Serie B right now, i suppose !

The other term :

ManU bought Cantona from Leeds (give UEFA's Cup) !!
Then...ManU became the giant again in EPL after Liverpool Superioty in 80's!!
(true there's 92's boys, but cantona was the man)

So...all i want to say bout ur statement is "That's Not Absurd, fella !!"

There are consistent rumours about a possible departure of Ronaldinho at the end of the season linked with Rosell situation and linked to the fact he would follow him.

Barca's financial situation is not very clear , but this Rosell affaire takes us over the financial situation: if the player wants to move then the club can't help it.

It's not a mystery we would make ANYTHING to sign such a player, and i'm totally sure we can afford it, because Berlusconi owns media and other important companies and he would use the advertisements and the financial help of many companies to support and sponsor a signing that would benefit all these companies as well, as a return of image.

Berlusconi owns Fininvest which is the company that supports the major signing as far as i know, and if there's the chance to sign Ronaldinho be sure we will and can afford to.

It's some days i heard, not openly, that it seems pieces are moving, but all is still undergroud. Corriere dello Sport is writing every day some news.
The deal is POSSIBLE. The society is wacthing the situation from above and just observing.

More updates soon

But all these rumours originate from Corriere dello Sport....not the most reliable source tbh.
And I don't want Milan to pay too much money. 50m€ is the absolute upper limit. Anything in excess and we can buy 3 world clas players for that amount.
