What people in here think about Asier del Horno? Like him or not?

kaladze for sure...but my favourite if we could get him would be henize of argentina

He's definitely the player 2 replace Maldini. We have 2 sell Pancaro while we still can.
Hopefully Costacurta retires. We need a central defender like Bonera.

Central defender? I would suggest Milito, Diego's brother, currently playing for Zaragoza.

Bonera has been playing in Serie A for quite a while. He should b able 2 get used 2 the demands of Italian football. He's still quite young. Kaladze should leave. He has his own ambition, so does Milan. Del Horno is really over-rated.

its funny you mention gabriele milito as i have just listened to a bbc world football phone-in with sean wheelock (MLS) and Tim Vickery (south american correspondant for world soccer magazine).

a guy asked tim about milito as he was being linked with liverpool.
tim basically said that he doesnt think that hes up to it physically and that he may not be the best at the highest level...

i haven`t seen him play much but if tim says hes not good i would probably agree with him

What about a guy called Juan Roman Riquleme(i think thats how u spell it) he is awesome,what a player. The other day the game between Brazil and Argentina he just ripped Brazil's midfield apart he was on fire,by the way the brazil midfield conatined the likes of kaka,ronaldinho,emerson,ze reberto and thats not easy to dominate.He is a player i would like milan to sign.What do u guys think?

agree with you on this one. unfortunately. it is Khaka , who wants to leave us and it just makes no sense for us to keep a player who id not happy here anymore. Heinze would be the perfect substitute for him but also Chivu, who now plays as CD for Roma and Romania, used to play at LB when he started his career in the Romanian NT and Ajax. Then he was transfromed in a CD by Ronald Koeman, I believe. While at LB, he was one of the best players of EURO 2000 when barely 19-20 he made Figo and Beckham look FUNNY in the games vs Portugal and England. He is also a good option, especially given his universality in defence. Plus he would be easier to get for I honestly doubt ManU would agree to sell Heinze.

If we want him, this won't be a problem. The problem is that Riquelme is very inconsistent in his performances - he could be god-like in one game and then the next one, totally invisible. He is a very good player though, and on his day, even a great one.

I am sure out there, there are people who would call even Nesta average and overrated, but I honestly don't think he is, after seeing him play in so many games.
I agree with Maradona10 on G Milito, he is one of the young and very, very solid defenders, who could be an option for Milan when they start rejuvenating their defence. Milito was easily one of the 2-3 best defenders, in my opinion the best, in La Liga this season and made the Real M medical team look like a bunch of jackasses for it was them who stopped his transfer from Independiente to Real. After that he signed with Zaragoza, and became one of the revelations of the season in Spain. Ironically, in the direct game, not sure if it was on Bernabeu, Milito singlehandedly made Raul, Ronnie and co disappear from the field and Zaragoza won 1-0, I think, but could be wrong about the final result.
One problem I think Milito could have is the arial battles - he is not very high, and although he compensates this with good jumping abilities, this could be a problem for him against physically stronger oponents. One thing's for sure, I wouldn't exactly recommend him to an EPL team
