Well, we do not care about other team and what do they think about this when talk is about money. I really do not care if they want to let him or not. But for proper price everything is possible

The only thing I do not agree is Ruud affair. I do not let him go anywhere. He have to stay. He MUST stay! I prefer include Saha in this transfer insdead
yeah, Ruud and Owen with Rooney in a playmaking role would be potentially devestating it would be good for England too, to have the first choice strikeforce at the same club were they can develop an even better understanding. Im not optimistic it will happen but if it did it would certainly give us a few more options

He is very much a Souness type of player and as they will lose Robert and Bowyer this year i dont think they will want to sell another midfielder. Might happen though

No Owen, please!
Doesn't Fergie hate him too?

Fergie probably doesnt like the Liverpool connection but that hasnt stopped him trying to get Gerrard As for Owen personally i doubt it, Owen is far too bland to inspire hatred, more likely are casual dislike and indifference

I cant hate him because he plays well for England and he is a quality finisher, something we really missed when Ruud was out last year. If the chance to sell Saha and gain Owen came then i wouldnt mind at all if the board took it.

Totaly agreed with Steph. I do fancy such transfer if we sell Saha to acquire Owen instead

Non of english players can I reject if they want to play for our side. Even a scouser.

Owen doesnt contribute much to build up play but in front of goal he's lethal and well on course to break Sir Bobby's goalscoring record ( Charlton did play many games in midfield though ) I watched a lot of Reals games last season and Owen was still making the right runs. Ruud doesnt contribute much to build up play either but we dont need that anyway, Ronaldo, Rooney, Scholes and Giggs can all link midfield and attack, and Park can too if we get him.

First priority should still be a midfielder and if we can only do one deal this summer then that is where we should focus our attentions, but if we get to do a bonus deal which is effectively a swap between Owen and Saha then i'd be happy to see it

Obi makes plea for Chelsea switch

Nigerian prodigy John Mikel Obi wants Fifa to cancel the contract he signed with Manchester United so he can join Premiership champions Chelsea.

United and Chelsea are waiting for Fifa to rule over the Old Trafford club's complaint regarding Obi's transfer.

Obi is particularly unhappy with the role played by Lyn technical director Morgan Andersen in transfer.

"Andersen knows Chelsea are responsible for me, but he doesn't want to tell the truth," Obi told the Daily Mail.

United announced Obi's £4m transfer on 29 April after he scored twice on his Lyn debut.

But Obi then changed his mind and claimed he wanted to join Chelsea.

Obi trained with United as a 16-year-old, but in the last two years the Nigerian has spent time with Chelsea.

"I went to Manchester United, they said they wanted to sign me but it didn't come up because what they promised, they did not fufil.

"But everything was fine with Chelsea, I was really happy to move to Chelsea and that's where it's been deep down inside me for the past two years.

"All my heart and my mind was to play with Chelsea - because the coach likes me, the people there like me, the players - the big boys - they all like me.

Last week Fifa refused to reveal when it would make a decision on Obi's transfer.

"We've no comment on how long a ruling will take," a Fifa spokesman told BBC Sport. "Fifa has several hundred transfer dispute cases pending."

According to Lyn lawyer Erik Nadheim, the Norwegian club and United sent a complaint to Fifa on Chelsea and two agents involved in the deal, John ****tu and Rune Hauge.

Hauge has said that First Division Lyn do not have the right to sell Obi.

Lyn believe they have a valid contract with Obi, which runs until the end of 2006.

Obi added: "Everything is with Fifa now. I just want them to take decisions for me. But I have to make my own final decision.

"I just want them to sort things out for me because everyone just wants to get money for themselves and I don't think that's nice."
I do not know what to do, to be sad or joyful

Manchester United have confirmed the signing of PSV Eindhoven midfielder Park Ji-Sung, subject to him passing a medical and getting a work permit.

The South Korean, 24, is reported to be flying to England on Wednesday for a medical before signing a four-year deal with the Old Trafford outfit.

The undisclosed fee is reported to be in the region of £4m, according to the player's agency FS Corporation.

Park joined PSV in December 2002 from Japanese club Kyoto Purple Sanga.

Park is confident he can have a major impact on the club as they seek to win back the Premiership from Chelsea.

"I am confident I can prove myself at one of the world's top clubs," he said.

"I want to show my value to United in terms of my ability, not for some marketing strategy for Asia. I am not going to England for business."

Park, who has 38 caps, recently helped South Korea book their place in their sixth consecutive World Cup by scoring in the 4-0 thrashing of Kuwait.

He impressed during PSV's superb run in the Champions League last season, scoring in the second leg of the semi-final against AC Milan.

If he does move he will become United's second signing of the summer after 34-year-old Dutch goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar.

He would also be the third player in recent years - after Jaap Stam and Ruud van Nistelrooy - to swap PSV for Old Trafford.
Great signing. Especially regarding a price of this asian starlet. Only 4 mio pounds And he may become a huge inspiration for our team next season. The another good point that we signed a man from "undisturbed" country, thus we can make a huge benefit there using Park's image.

Agreed, this deal is good for the team and good for the board

He will provide competition for many positions and i expect he is to gradually replace either Scholes or Giggs over the next few years.

Its with FIFA now so we can let them sort it out, he must be a decent player to cause this much trouble without even kicking a ball

We have excellent attacking prospects in Rooney and Ronaldo and Utds philosophy has always been to give youth a chance, if he wishes to choose Chelsea and sit on the bench while they spend billions on established players then he will have to live with his choice

The money received each year from Nike does not depend on the shirt sales. So, signing Park may seem like a commercial move, but it isn't. Also, United's merchandise shops in the Far East have been reported to have closed down due to lack of business. People there simply do not have enough money to spend on merchandise.

He looks a fine player, though. Should provide cover for the wide areas and can also play as a central attacker.

I think Park is a great signing, I would also love to see a good left back, such as Ashley Cole to replace Silvestre or Phil Neville; however it seems unlikely that the United are going to land an offer on him...

Do not agree with you. Heinze IMO is a very good defender and we do not need anyone to relace him. He is enough young to play for a long time in Old Trafford, and I hope the future will be very bright for him as well as for us
