Milan after Milan

Seems like there is still major doubts about the future of Pippo Inzaghi and that we are after another striker as backup for Shevchenko, Gilardino and Vieri. Players mentioned in the article is Milan Baros, Marco Di Vaio end even Zissis Vryzas. Personally I think Michael Owen would be the better option, although more expensive as well...

€10m for Baros is not a price we could not afford. Especially talking about a great striker. He would be a perfect back up for our deadly duo Gila-Sheva in same line with Bobo. Pippa is likely not to recover soon. So we have only three strikers at the moment. It can become even worse if one of fit strikers gets injured. What then?

I have heard Carletto spaeking about his wish to have five available strikers in his possession. It likely was the reality but JDT departure and Crespo going back to ski made this option impossible. At least till we sign another striker. Just like Milan Baros of instance

think Di Vaio would make a better purchase though, but with that price for Baros and a player of his credibility thats a bargain.

Di Vaio is a very good player with lots of Serie A experience, while Baros is a young and talented striker but 10 mil euros for the Baros of Liverpool are way too much, IMO, although considering what he did at Euro 2004, 10 mil could be a decent price tag.
Anyway, Cassano would be prefered to both of them, I think, provided that he becomes available this summer, something I would expect after Roma were unable to extend his contract.

I think 10 mil is fairly reasonable for Baros. Given him and Di Vaio though I would pick Di Vaio and given Di Vaio and Cassano, I would still pick Di Vaio too. Hes definitely not having the time of his life, but hes actually really talented and will be extremely useful given the right guidance.

Well, seems like its a milan juve battle for Cassano then? (Even though Juve strongly deny being interested in Cassano...)

It might be worth the risk, some players don't suit the english game and it's obvious Baros has class, he could turn out to be a much better player in italy.

kinda pricey though in my opinion.

i think baros is awful, seen him play many times for liverpool and all he does is play with his head down. hes a greedy player and tries to do everything (i.e tries to be the hero). i think spending a dime on him would be a waste of money and doesn`t improve on what we`ve got.

my favourite choice would be owen simply because his stats in la liga or the premiership or with england cannot be argued with. hes young and surplus to requiremants at madrid. if he came to milan he`d fight with gila for a place up front with sheva as vieri although is good is old.

as for cassano hes a great talent but i wonder about his temperament. he even had problems with capello at roma so i dont see how ancelotti would change this. i also think that milan have enough assist makers in the team and what we need is goal scorers because after sheva and gila, inazghi and vieri are both old and prone to injury.

owen as 4th choice?? i wud b happy if we got cassano bcuz im sure that carlo wud give him a unique role in the pitch like he did with pirlo.

agree completely, Baros has ability but his awareness is abysmal and i wouldnt spend anywhere near that much money on him, it says something when he has just won the European Cup ans the only team really after him is Aston Villa.....

Based on what Madame Sensi says, if he doesnt renew, then they will sell him...so, if he doesnt renew, then we should make a move for him I think...but somehow I would prefer to see us going for Cicihno though..

Am I the only one who does not want Baros? His goals record in an 'open' premier league is abysmal, he's a head down and run player. He had one good tournament internationally and suddenly everyone thinks he's great, I think not! Besides why give Liverpool any money (esp for him) after what they left us with a few months ago.
