Tough? It's easy, in fact every single possible opponent with the exception of Chelsea would have been easy. Our objective is to win the competition so we should fear no one. Ancelotti should never be so negative.

I'm puzzled by the fact that People and the Press have noted this gruop as difficult. I look at this gruop and think of WOW, what an oppurtunity for Milan to breeze thru to the next stage. Yes, PSV is a good squad, even great, But???? Shalke (humm? first time in the KO stage since when?), and Fenerbahce (just dont know much about them) but certainly do not have any fear of thier side. Eurosport, noted " Last season's finalists AC Milan were handed the "Group of Death" with PSV Eindhoven, last year's Bundesliga runners-up Schalke 04 and Fenerbahce of Turkey in Group E."
Group of Death???? I would think that if we had been selected with Chelsea, Juventes and Real Madrid or Barcelona or Bayern M. then there would be greater amounts of concern.
I do know that we sometimes faulter to the lesser teams, and play brillant to the larger, but the "group of Death" I dont think so.

Just IMO, Have a great wekend everyone, Series A begins Sunday!!!!

psv should be alot weaker with the sale of key players like van bommel, ooijer, and park and possibly lee ... schalke are quite dangerous but shouldnt be any trouble... fener away should be quite tought but not really a big team... we should worry about away games mostly

I personally regard Fenebache as our toughest opponent. In the past years, we visited Istanbul four times, and lost three of them.

1999-2000: Two goals conceded in teh last five minutes kicked us out of both UCL and UEFA cup!

2000-2001: Our loss against Galatasaray (again! ) forced us to duel with Deportivo (another team I hate in Europe). Two non-existent PKs buried our hope.

2004-2005:

PSV is not as strong as last year. We lost Van Bommel (to Barca), Vogel (Milan) and Park (Man Utd) and after this weekend Lee will probably leave PSV (to Tottenham) as well.
Our new players: Simons from Brugge, Vayrynen from Heerenveen (injured right now), Ferreyra (on loan from CSKA) and a few days ago we contracted the brilliant Koné from Roda JC. But Koné unfortunately can't play in the CL, because he already played in the Intertoto competition this season with Roda.
Right now PSV is playing far from brilliant, so hopefully they are ready on time...

None of those teams should be feared by Milan, as had been said, but the group cold certainly have been easier. Shalke are a very good side and PSV and Fener are decent. I'm sure Milan will lose some points in the group. My money is on Shalke to come second.

This is a tough group. Milan should capitalise on all of their home games. They can field a weakened side 4 the remaining games if they can qualify as early as possible
