Fifpro - Milan dominate

Hey has anyone seen the Fifpro awards tonight?
5 of the 11 players were Milan, how amazing is that?

Nelson Dida - Milan
Marcos Cafu - Milan
Alessandro Nesta - Milan
John Terry - Chelsea
Paolo Maldini - Milan
Zinadine Zidane - Real Madrid
Frank Lampard - Chelsea
Claude Makalele - Chelsea
Rhonaldinho - Barcelona
Andrie Shevchenko - Milan
Samuel Eto'o - Barcelona

Now i think its so good we had so many players in here but having watched so much of Real Madrid last year I have to wonder how Zidane is in here, he was totaly useless last year...
Would anybody make any changes? I'd have Henry instead of Eto'o and i'd definitly get rid of Zidane for Van Bommel (psv) or Xavi (Barcelona) not forgetting it was voted on last years performance, had it been this year i'd of obviously used our boy wonder Kaka..........

Can't believe there are no other players from other teams in Italy. Zidane in there? Pure bull****. Zidane, Lampard and Makalele ahead of Gerrard, Pirlo, Camoranesi, Baptista and Kaka? Eto'o ahead of Adriano? Whats this bs.

Gerrard had 3 good games in Europe and was rubbish for Liverpool in the league and rubbish for England. Lampard was the best attacking midfielder in Europe last season, he scored and made goals in the league and in Europe. Makelele shouldn't have got in ahead of Deco. Juve sucked in Europe so Camoranesi didn't deserve to get in, neither did Baptsita. Eto'o was consistent in Europe and in La Liga, Adriano didn't score for over 2 months. The only players who didn't deserve a place in the XI were Cafu, Makelele and Zidane.

Ferreira is a much better right back than Cafu, he can actually defend. Along with Stam and Gattuso, Cafu was our worst player from spring and cost us dearly in the league and in Europe.

Surely you can't be serious, Ferreira isn't playing that hot for Chelsea he always makes mistakes and gives the ball away, cafu is the best RB on the planet and he was great for us last season, you also said Makalele shouldn't be there either, he was a rock for chelsea last year and was so underestimated it was un-true he does what gattuso tries to do for us and Real Madrid haven't won a single thing since they sold him all because he doesn't play fancy football, you also said Kaka should be in there too, i think the fact he's playing so well at the moment has clouded our minds to how much he under-performed last year and thats what this was voted on.

Ferreira the best right back in Europe? All he is, is a 24 mil euro joke. Garry Neville and Willy Sagnol are easily much better players than the portugese. and he is not even close to Cafu. The brazilian had a great season for us last year, especially in the Champions League and being chosen in that representative team is one thing the voters did get right ... which I can't say for seeing Zidan in there too ... I guess, a lot of fans of the Frenchman are still living with fond memories of the past.

You really think Ferreira is better than Cafu? Are you serious? If any rightblack is close to being as good as Cafu in the world it would be Cicinho.

Cafu was terrible from Spring onwards. Along with Stam he became a liability. Makelele was hopeless for Chelsea in Europe. He never got a grip on midfield against Barca or Bayern. Chelsea were very poor at retaining possession in these games. Gattuso was equally bad in the spring.

Cafu made too many mistakes late last season. He played like he did in his last season at Roma. Ferreira is a much better defender than Cafu.

Have you seen Cicinho defend? I don't how good he is going forward, a defenders job first and foremost is to defend, anything else is a bonus. Given a choice between the three you'd have to be out of your mind to prefer either Cicinho or Cafu ahead of Ferreira.

DUDE!!!... ferreira better than cafu?!!?

oh ... and cafu was one of our worst players last season!?!?!. ..did u take ur pills last nite?? cuz something is definatly wrong with u!!!

zidane shouldnt be there, makelele i wouldnt argue against, he wasnt bad last season its just that i think some1 else may deserve it, pirlo probably, and im not being biased... i dunno who id put in place of zidane... probably robben!

as for ronaldinho id put him in doubt... hes amazing theres no argument... but he had a bad year last year, after he won the world player award his performance dropped

Chelsea beat both Bayern and Barca and Makalele was there Midfield general, i think if he was that bad in those games Chelsea wouldn't of won, and besides it was voted over a season not just the games against Bayern and Barca.

Yes they won but they were overrun in midfield, Barca had more possesion in both games and Chelsea conceded 11 goals in these four games. Part of the reason was Makelele. Deco was much better than Makelele last season and also contributed to Barca offensively.

As for Cafu, remind me from which flank the goals scored by Juve in the league and Gerrard's goal came from? His flank. His failure to close down has been a problem since last spring.
