Bayern vs AC Milan

From skysports.com:

Quote:
Bayern Munich coach Felix Magath says his team are capable of beating Milan in the UEFA Champions League.

The German club were given a tough draw against the Italian giants in the next round of the competition, but Magath expects his team to progress.

"It is a great draw. We were able to play well against Serie A leaders Juventus twice in the group phase so I don't think we should be worrying about this tie," he told Bayern's official website.

"I hope that we'll win the first leg at home by at least two goals, but we have to be careful not to concede one otherwise it will be difficult.

"The fact is that Milan have had problems finding their rhythm throughout the season so far. They have several older players in their squad and maybe that's the reason they haven't been so impressive in Italy or Europe in the last couple of years."

Executive chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is also confident that Bayern can avenge the two defeats they suffered at the hands of Milan in the Champions League group stages three years ago.

"We didn't have a pleasant time of it three years ago, but our team is much stronger now," he commented.
Cant wait to see his face hung low after Kaka and Sheva destroy his much vaunted team....

FORZA MIIIIIIIIIIIIIILAN!!!!!

I personally believe that it is going to be a difficult round. Although does not a have a lot of superstars, they are good at applying a certain kind of tactic which works quite efficiently, and our worries about our backline can come back to haunt us. Set pieces in particular worry me, as Bayern has plenty of players that can benefit from our soft under-belly.
A tough one but why not? We all know that Milan can beat any team if they really go at it

Those games will not be played until February, so we have time to solidify our defense,
and be ready.

Forza Milan!!!!

exactly SANT, plus Milan should not be afraid of any team it faces. we need to start dominating and beating a strong Bayern team will surely boost our confidence.

forza milan!!!

Forza Milan
You know we're not buying any new players in January, right? It has been denied not only by Galliani (who we all know can't be trusted), but Ancelotti too.

Anyway, I am really looking forward to these games, and for some reason I have a good feeling about them. We always seem to be at our best when we're playing other big clubs in the CL, and by February we will have refound our true strength. Bayern may think this was a lucky draw for them, but of course they are wrong. I think it was a lucky draw for us. Bayern have never knocked us out of any European tournament, so the statistics are on our side (not that it really matters, but it doesn't hurt either).

I agree, but I feel like it all depends on our defensive recovery. No matter what some of you guys think of Bayern, they are definitely one of the most formidable sides in the world...

Lol. I mean, it's one thing to say Bayern can beat Milan. That's fair. But this is crazy talk. Haven't been impressive in Italy or Europe in the last couple of years?

2002/3 - European Champ, SerieA runner up
2003/4 - SerieA Champ
2004/5 - European Runner Up, SerieA Runner Up

Yeah....not impressive at all. Crazy Germans...

And for everybody who has been asking that Milan buys Ballack, we will see him, and hopefully, not doing anything well against us...

Pippo will score again as he had the best scoring record when Milan face Bayern.

For those who say Bayern are formidable now, the last time we beat them they were probably the biggest superpower(preseason) and and expected to win everything that season. I don't think they're are good as Barca or Juve this season, but they're dangerously hiding under the radar. It doesn't really matter to us though. The bigger the team, the easier the match...
