isnt galliani like a magic 8 ball, not sayin his head is shiny but for the answers he gives------

"magic 8 ball, are we going to sign any new players"..... Dont count on it

HAHAHAA!! LOL!! Man, I wish they DID use the 8ball this season. Things probably would have turned out better.

Yeah yeah. I know, just a cup loss, no big deal - but it's always tough to see em lose. Sigh... I'm just hoping for success in CL and that Milan at least finishes 2nd in Serie A. Don't want to be behind Inter.

Gilattack, only if life was so simple that we could brand things as black or white, beatiful or ugly, right or wrong, up or down .. but it's not for the truth is always somewhere in the middle i.e. grey.
Even in your example with Vieri - if you just look at things on the surface, yeah it's easy to say that getting him in place of Crespo, a player who had already managed to successfully incorporate himself in the squad, was a big mistake.
Problem is, however, that things are not so simple in this case or any other. Chelski reportedly asked us to pay them ~11 mil euros for a 30yo player, and there were strong rumours that they wanted Milan to give them a freepass on Gilardino, as well. Now, if you were Galliani, would you have agreed on paying that much money and lose a 23 yo rising star for a player, who would have had 1 or maybe 2 more good seasons?
Also, the reason Milan is going through this difficult period is not because we got Vieri and gave up on Crespo. With or without Vieri, with or without Crespo, the team would have still had the current problems simply because the origins of our problems are not dependent one single player alone, actually, as far as I am concerned, they have nothing to do with the players. The only difference would have been that we would have paid 10-11 mil for Crespo, lose Gila as our finances would have been seriously cut short by the Crespo transfer and still have a difficult season, as opposed to getting Vieri for free but also being able to secure the services of young player like Gilardino, who's the future of Milan and Italian football in all. And Gila is having a pretty good season too keeping in mind all the difficulties our team is facing this year, as it is so much more difficult to show your real worth in a situation like this one when team spirit is down. I, for one, can't say that Sheva, for instance, is doing any better right now and the same goes for all our established stars like Nesta, Pirlo, and Kaka. All this makes Gila's task of finding his place in this team so much more difficult. In the end, however, I don't think that anyone should or can blame Galliani for opting for Gila over Crespo.
So, we are back from where we started - if only things in life were as simple as black and white.

i just watched the half high lights, first goal was class, the second goal both gattuso and stam should have came forward to tackle the guy (they stood there like headless chickens), nesta just got stuck there chasing back, from what i have seen jankuloski did a few good crosses into the box (he got one of the highest game ratings)

3rd goal was rubbish, wtf was simic doing, kalac didnt kno what to do either...

Palermo showed how old the squad was, and how it cant cope with speed.... im laughin at how bad the defense was....

Palermo won only 1 home game in Serie A in last 6 games....
I know that this was Cup game, but it's good known that Palermo don't play good at home, but it seems that they cant beat Cagliari or Siena, but they can beat us..

I can't wait end of this season, I just want to forget this season 2005/2006...
