Inzaghi to Roma?

Channel 4 reports
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Filippo Inzaghi is likely to leave Milan at the end of the season with Roma his possible next port of call, according to reports in Italy.

The Azzurri international, who returned from a two-year injury absence recently, has found first-team appearances hard to come by and is growing frustrated at warming the bench at the San Siro.

While the Rossoneri rearguard - which has been the subject of the most criticism of late - appears to be improving with just one goal conceded in the last four matches, the attack is struggling to find the net.

And yet, despite their profligacy in front of goal, Inzaghi is still down in the pecking order behind an out-of-sorts Andriy Shevchenko and an Alberto Gilardino who hasn’t scored since January 8.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti is desperate for a win at home to Treviso on Wednesday night and must decide between Gilardino and an evermore-disenchanted Superpippo, who has attracted the interest of Roma.

The Giallorossi will be free to act in the transfer market after serving a year-long ban and - with Shabani Nonda having failed to make an impression at the Stadio Olimpico and Vincenzo Montella beset by continual injury problems - the proven Inzaghi would be a huge asset to Coach Luciano Spalletti, particularly if they qualify for the Champions League next season.

Inzaghi feels that he no longer has the belief of Ancelotti and is said to have been particularly infuriated at being substitute in the goalless draw at Lazio.

i like inzaghi, but in carlos defense its hard to start playing inzaghi after hes long break with injury, plus i dont think Milan would want Gilardino on the bench after the big fee they paid for him... this could be alot of rubbish but if inzaghi does really want to go, we shouldnt stop him....

Keep smilin guys,its all good

It all looks like Carlo doesnt have the control of the team anymore ( who is staying, who is leaving), and everything is being prepared for some other manager.... Donadoni just quit, Van Basten had some nice words about Sneijder and Babbel form Ajax and its well known he likes younger players in his squad. Pippo is a real legend, one of my favorite killers in front of the goal, a really inteligent striker. But he is 32,33 (im not sure) and if he wants to go we should sell him for right money, he can still offer much to Roma. Thats my oppinion, and if he is about to leave us, good luck Pippo and I just hope we will invest some money in proper young striker. maybe new pippo, if thats even possible. Forza Super Pippo

If he wants to leave, well, good luck to him, and let's pick a new and young striker.

By the way: why we are so afraid of youngsters?!? Can't we see that players like Messi, Rooney, Agüero, Podolski, Reyes, Martins, Mikel, Vanden Borre, Kompany, Fabregas, etc. can perform wonderfully well?!?

This rumour is originated from tgcom.Actually, they started to predict Pippo would leave since last CL final, the reason is the same-Pippo felt he was not convinced by Ancelotti. But in fact, he is still staying.....
Well, Pippo said in an interview last month that he had thought to leave, but he loved Milan so much and cann't imagine to wear another jersey. Also tgcom said Pippo would take a very hard decision, he is not Vieri, he tied up with Milan so much.....
Anyway, there are still many games this season, let's wait and see....Though some of you always say that Pippo always wastes chances and he is nothing at all etc. But for me, he always pays his best when he is on the pitch. Eventhough he didn't score, he always runs and creates the own space to shoot, he plays with his heart....Just wish Pippo all the best...I still believe he will explode again and repay to Milan.

Yeah, send Filippo Pippo Inzaghi away and bring in Rocchi from Lazio, that is THE move to make this summer, let us all pray that this comes through...
While we are at it with these super transfers I also pray that we allow Seedorf to join Lazio aswell in exchange we could get the jewel Fabio Liverani, just imagine next season a AC Milan with Rocchi and Liverani - we would be unstoppable! Forza Milan!!!

Let the player decide and allow both the team and player accept the consequences. If Pippo decides to stay with us as he has pledged to end his career here, he is doing so hopefully in the realization that he may not be the first starting 11. Likewise if he decides to go to Rome, he and Milan must accept all possible scenarios. Might he do well in Roma??? If so... personally a good career call for him at the questionable choice of Milan not accomadating or maximizing his full potential. Of course he could do badly and accomplish nothing in all of this. Whatever choice is made, let it be up to Pippo to decide his career and let us be gracious by embracing it and eternally thankful for the great memories he has given us at Milan.

Pippo is a good heart guy...he is so loyal to Milan.....
I think he always want to repay to the club, for what they did to him.
Let see what he said:
Corriere dello Sport-Stadio published an interview with Filippo Inzaghi: ‘Milan never abandoned me. They signed Vieri because they needed four in attack, not because they didn’t think I would recover. In fact, after the second operation the club extended my contract another year, from 2008 to 2009. Who else would have done this? I will never forget what they did for me. They knew that I would recover. Martens was clear from the beginning that I would be back like new. I was transferred to Anversa for two months and it was 60 days of hard work, hope and also nostalgia because I couldn’t wait to return home. I am stubborn and I wanted to play more than anything else. I will never stop.’
