I will be satisfy with Oddo, that Palermo's CB, forgot the exact spelling, Barazli and Gallas.

And I would also like a Ballack and Hargareves(Bayern Bench warmer) with that

Oddo=Cafu
Gallas=Stam
Barazli=Billy

Ballack=Seedorf
Hargareves=Vogel

Maybe Terlizzi(if he is as good as people state) or Alex=Simic

But I doubt all of them would come, since Milan rarely buy many new players at once. Then again, there was a year when, Milan went out and got Rui Costa, Pippo, Pirlo,Brocchi, Contra, and JV.

Yah ur abslutly right, milito is a great defender and he would be a great option. I would love to have him and his brother as our 4th striker. In my opinion i think that gabriel millito is better than gallas and maybe even better than lugano but i can never know since he wasn't able to play his trade in a big competition like the CL. from all the names mention here in this thread i think the best deffender is Chivu and he is young and is use to serieA.

Diarra would be sweet! somehow it reminds me of Desailly. however for Cris, I don't feel so well. He flunked in Germany, making the very Roque Junior look like Rock.. And he is not so young either, 29. I wonder why Galliani is so keen on him and willing to pay big bucks....

this should be in the fantasy thread

4 defenders is more than enough... u mentioned 7 ... just for the heck of it!

id go for oddo as a 2nd RB.. gallas as a player capable of player in all 4 defensive positions, alex instead of stam and even that is enough.. maldini and serginho, and simic are staying

id get ballack and if possible rocchi for inzaghi and thats it

Four starter class central defenders? That's just silly, not to forget Serginho for Cris, Cris is not a fullback. I would agree on a Henry for Inzaghi though if we could get Henry as cheap as its been talked about.

I said it before, I would get:
Gallas - To start with Nesta and/or be used as a defensive option on the sides.
Barzagli/Terlizzi - As a first backup to the central defenders.
Daniel Alves - As a replacement for Cafu

Lyon midfield star Mahamadou Diarra is aware of interest in his services from Milan.

The outstanding Mali international is believed to be a top target for Manchester United this summer after impressing against The Red Devils in the UEFA Champions League.

However, as he prepares for Lyon's clash with PSV Eindhoven, the 24-year-old has revealed Milan are also determined to snap him up.

"I can say nothing," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"But, yes, I know. It's true that maybe there is something and being aware that I am interesting for Milan really flatters me.

"But I must think of the match."

Diarra is under contract until 2009 but the French champions are likely to sell if they receive a massive offer for the former Vitesse Arnhem ace.

Milan have been watching Diarra and Lyon team-mate Cris closely and will be monitoring his performance against PSV on Tuesday.

My boy Diarra very flattered by the offer from Milan, take it man and come to Milan to experience winning on all fronts. Manchester united is going down the tubes. If him and Cris come to Milan ohhh baby will be nasty this year. As for the game against Bayern I expect a 1-0 or 2-1 victory fro bayern and hopefully Milan can turn it around and take the away goal to the San Siro

i would like to see Nesta and Alex in defence
Oddo/Daniel Alves replacement for Cafu
and Barzagli/Terlizi replacement for Billy
this would be the best defense in the world
Nesta and Alex!!! can you imagine

...and if you guys have a chance, watch this game. What a show by our future CB, Alex.
ESPN International will show this game today(later).
Some coments by UEFA.com:
41' Malouda (Lyon) delivers the corner. Carew continues to occupy the home defence. This time his persistence is matched only by the equally dogged Alex, who concedes the corner with a last-ditch block deep inside the home area.

53' Juninho is so close to threading it through for Carew, but once again the masterful Alex gets one foot to the pass. What a magnificent game the Brazilian defender is having.

72' Fred (Lyon) has an effort on goal. Having moments before been denied by the omnipresent Alex, Brazilian goalkeeper Gomes is tested by another of his compatriots from 20 metres - and this time saves smartly from the substitute's shot.
P.S. Take a look for the free kick in minute 16, amazing!!
16' Alex (PSV) hits the crossbar on free-kick. The Brazilian defender hits a pile-driver of a free-kick from 30 metres, which swerves all over the place before clipping the unwitting Coupet's crossbar.
