Tacchinardi in Milan link

Milan are pondering a summer bid for Juventus-owned midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi, according to reports.

Stories in some sections of the Italian Press are suggesting that the former Italian international is wanted by boss Carlo Ancelotti.

The latter highly regarded the player during their time together at the Stadio Delle Alpi and he’s keen for them to link-up again.

Tacchinardi is currently in Spain with Villarreal but will be recalled to Turin in the summer as his Juventus contract doesn’t expire until 2008.

Should the move take place then it is likely to be a simple swap deal rather than one involving cash.

Juventus are believed to be presently keen on two Rossoneri stars in the form of goalkeeper Christian Abbiati and Massimo Ambrosini.

Abbiati is currently on loan at Juventus after he was brought in as a temporary replacement for the previously injured Gigi Buffon.

While Ambrosini is a midfield option who director general Luciano Moggi has attempted to lure on many occasions in the past.

Tacchinardi will be keen to impress Italian eyes should Inter make it through to face the Liga outfit in the last eight of the Champions League.

Inter take on Ajax at the San Siro on Tuesday following the 2-2 first leg draw during the Amsterdam Arena encounter.

What do you think about it?

I think there are two questions that must be asked if this is a serious bid;

1) Is Tacchinardi an improvement over Gattuso or Ambrosini ?

2) Which one of Gattusso or Ambrosini will he be replacing ? I can't see there being room for all three of them here.

Maybe Carlo wants him, but Carlo will not be here regardless what we will do in CL. Gattuso,Abmrosini, even Poulsen are better players than Tacchinardi. Not to mention Diarra.

mrki, tell me please, though off topic: Why do u think we will sack Carlo or he will leave next season?

Anyway, this is a mere rumor, and I rate Ambro over Taccinardi anyday...and I am sure we wont be swapping these players...(at least I hope so!)

I believe Carlo will leave Milan simply becocuse people in the club know its time we get refreshment on the bench. Every team needs that. Even juve with great Lippi needed some change. Carlo had some good time in Milan, some bad also. We'll see it in the end. This is just my oppinion.

I both think and hope that Ancelotti will stay. What we need is consistency.

And about Tacchinardi: What are the ambitions of our club? I really question this if we bring in 2nd rate players like him. He would easily become our worst midfielder by far and I see no reason why Milan should sign him. The management can't expect any manager to win the Scudetto with a squad of players like that... That would be underestimating the quality of italian football.

I am still trying to make sense of this rumour. As people already said, what would a 30+ (think he is already 32-33?) contribute to a Milan team that already has Ambro, gattuso, and let's not forget Vogel, who the way things are going, may very well get a starting spot on this team.
I think this is just another silly rumour - FCS, Tacchi aint a starter even at Villarreal !!! I would rather have Poulsen come over here.

We definetly do not need this transfer.
First of all....Tacchinardi isn't worth any kind of money right now.
Second....If he isn't worth money, then we need to swap. However, who would we give? Gattuso,Ambro,Vogel?? All better players then Tacchinardi so the answer is simple.
NO!

I agree with all of you: getting Tacchinardi will be a faux pas, since he's not better than the players we already have, beside his age.

Tacchinardi? well, umm......
No, we already have Gattuso, Ambrosini, Vogel, and if we really have to sign Tacchinardi, I will set his role as Vogel's replacement in case of Gattuso or Ambrosini can't play.

No thanks, Im not happy with Gatusso or Ambro who is always injured but Id prefer him to Tachianardi anyday. Vogel is just desined to become another Dhorosso or Jankulovski (Good players who dont get a chance)

Milan Getting Tacchi?

Milan are being linked with a move for Villarreal midfielder Alessio Tachinardi in the Spanish press.
The Italian international is currently on a season-long loan to the Spanish overachievers who will meet Milan’s neighbours Inter in the Champions League quarter finals.
Marca claims that Rossoneri boss Carlo Ancelotti has specifically asked the club’s hierarchy to move for the experienced central midfielder.
Tacchinardi seems to have little future at the Delle Alpi, with Patrick Vieira and Emerson ruling the roost in midfield.

How u ppl think??

Regarding Janku, i agree that he should be played more often to at least justify his 10 mil price tag. And we definitely dont need Tacchi since we already have Ambrosini.

You mean like Wenger? You mean like how Ferguson had his best time in ManU some 15 years after he took over? How Auxerre had Guy Roach (sp?) for some 30-40 years? There be no certainty at all.

Anyway, Tacchinardi is a very limited player, static and with no special abilities to either dominate nor control a game. Just one to stand in his spot and protect defense.
