well, despite it being a bad performance, the biggest blow is that pirlo played for 60 minutes, and we all know how tired he can be against lyon

im hopeful that we will thrash Lyon at home.. as long as our fans keep singing throughout the game..

Lyon can notice as many things as they wish, if the real Milan goes up against them, they don't stand a chance. I am sure the players are well aware that this game was more like something that we simply had to go through because it was in the schedule and not because we cared about it. It reminds me a lot of what happened in the first game vs La Viola - no imagination, not effort, no desire to do something more than just going thorugh the motions.

In the 1st half Milan played rather good in attack. Rui Costa played well. Although in defense it was very shaky. I don't know what Kaladze tried to do sometimes (his heel to Dida for example )
2nd half : it's unbelievable that lecce can come with 2 attackers against 1 Milan-defender !! Unforgiveable ! No organisation on that goal!
And also in attack, the 2nd half was awful. The one long ball after another. No combinations, no good passes, just long balls. And i already say this for years and i will keep saying it : Milan misses a true winger type Robben, who can create chances with his speed and crosses. If soem people still don't see that i think they are blind ! Especially if you have no Kaka and Sheva on the pitch, you can always use a real wing player in the line-up. Ok, Ancelotti braught Cafu, but he's an attacking right wing back,not a half wing player. Janku on the left was nowhere.
And why the hell did Ancelotti replace Pirlo ? Ok, he was not that good and he has to play against Lyon, but he brings more in atacking way then Ambro and deffinately then Vogel. And we had to attack.

Hmmm, with the current poor form Juve is in ( and it was obvious today against Treviso. They were playing with all the starters and still they were pathetic) we should have take an advantage of it, and beat Lecce.
Yes, i'm not mad also, and i agree 100% that Carlo did well with resting our starters, but still - I'm little sad, because i really think that if we won in Lecce, our chances for the Scudetto would have been much bigger, concidering Juve's form .

Say goodbye to the Scudetto, folks. Up until this game I was very optmisitc that we could still catch Juve. After this game its done. We had a chance to close the gap to 6 points today. Catching Juve would've been hard, but considering their form lately not impossible. But 9 points is just too much. The old lady has to have a heart attack or something...

When Sheva and Kaka aren't playing we have no real attack. Just pointless crosses from everywhere. Defense played relatively poor, no organization on their goal. Gila also a poor game. Just a bad effort out there today, it wasn't our day.

No one did their job right. You can't blame Carlo or single out a particular player. Well, what can I say? We have to put this loss behind us. Look ahead to Lyon, hopefully Carlo can use this as motivation.

I am a little disappointed not because of Ancelotti fielding a second-string side (which made sense) but because our second-string side did not win.

I agree the Champions League should be our priority but whoever we play with whatever team we should aim to win.

That's all...other than that I look forward to Tuesday with baited breath...

my thoughts exactly. I think Carlo had to be realistic, and it's far more realistic concentrating on the CL right now than serie A. however there were a lot of ego's out there, people who want places in that CL first eleven and frankly, they all showed why Carlo is so loathe to rotate.

I think Carlo made a mistake today, even if we go past Lyon you think we can go past Barca??? Remember what I wrote here today, we can't go past Barca. I hope I'm wrong but we will see...

Can Barca get past Benfica?

They are not unbeatable, we can get past them, if we get past Lyon first...

with that kind of attitude we'd better not even play Lyon 'cause they CAN get past barca. Actually, Barca will have to go past benfica first and let's only then talk about who can get past who.

i agree that the CLgame is way more important but it is Milan we're talking about: they should do more in Lecce when they are 1-0 behind. Some of you don't even care that we lost just because tuesday we face Lyon, that's pathetic. I am dissapointed about the way Milan played in the 2nd half : no passes, only long high balls. Plus the fact that we lack a true winger, although i already say this for over 3 years now.

We all know that Barca will pass Benfica, and yet again Milan should not lose games from teams that are at the bottom of the table.

I think that our real problem is that we are becoming the next Real Madrid: our players are old and having won everything got no motivation.... that's why we lost to Inter, that's why we are losing the Scudeto two years in a row to a team that inferior to us, and that's why we may lose to Barca... they simply want it more than us.
I mean people be realistic, the next year won't be any better.
